Travelog for: Greedy

Greedy now has a new tag.  He's very proud of it.

Greedy is off to Munich on the promise of some pork knuckle.
He just managed to squeeze into this three metre wide envelope:

Today I arrived in Munich, oh man, I was starved after a few days without food. Luckily I was immediately fed with a home-made bear's garlic quiche.

This morning I went for a walk to the Viktualienmarkt, that's a market where people do buy all kinds of eating stuff - I was sure I would find something to eat there. My host asked me if I would like to have "Weißwurst" (white sausage) for breakfast. Of course I do not mind a little food once in a while .... so I got my Weißwurst with sweet mustard and a Brezel.

Today was a hard day. I had to get up very early and take a train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Partnach Klamm (Partnach Gorge). I walked up the mountains - having arrived I definitely needed some food. First I had "Rahmschwammerl mit Semmelknödel" (fresh mushrooms in creamy sauce with bread dumpling). After the hardship of all the walking I really needed more than that so I also had "Kaiserschmarrn" (sort of cut-up and sugared pancakes with raisins and applesauce) as dessert.

Looks like I've been set on a diet - today I only got some home-made pumpkin soup (curry style). It's not exactly what I would like to eat, it's much too healthy but what can I do when I'm starving. 

Even if I have not updated my travelog for a few days .... that doesn't mean I'm starving. NO, NO, I was busy emptying Pandamao's cupboards, fridge, freezer .... and her wines, cocktails and other stuff, hicks. She just stopped me short before I was onto her flower pots. When I'm into eating nothing is secure!

I'm on a diet - apple diet! All these apples are from the garden of my host's dad - and we've been making apple jam, apple jam with pumpkin, apple jam with grenadine, apple for breakfast, apple for dessert, apple here, apple there ....... that's just what's left from our apple orgy .... 

Greedy took a walk to the monastery of Andechs, close to the Ammersee on the promise of a pork knuckle. And here he is, with a Mass (1 litre) of dark beer and the smallest pork knuckle available (roughly 1 kilogramm) with some tiny side dish (Sauerkraut and  a brezel).

Greedy happily dug into the pork knuckle - hard work. He especially liked the crunchy crust!

After having eaten all I could in Pandamao's home I decided it's time to leave and travel to France and see what delicacies MinutePapillon has to offer to a hungry soul 

Today Greedy went to the cinema with Dilbert but soon after the film began, instead of  enjoying watching "the golden compas" in French, they went to look for popcorns and such on the floor. Dilbert sniffed them out and Greedy ate them all.
