Travelog for: Pepita

Hi,

today we went again down to the beach, but, as it happens, it was high tide time .






So we thought it was a good idea to get a little snack ...



...and relax on the room balcony while waiting for the tide to recede .



Eventually enough time had passed and we could go spending the afternoon walking on the lower part of the beach .




Of course, by dinner time we were, again, very hungry .

Hi,

today we went visiting the southern tip of the island .



The landscape looks a bit barren and desolated to say the least ...






...although there were a few people on the beach.



Apparently this is a natural park,...



...so we followed the trail a bit longer until we reached the sea .






Later, back at the hotel, we found some lovely origami shaped towels ...



...that kept us distracted until, at last, it was time to go eating .

today it was time to leave. Of course, travelling requires energies, so we started the day with a hearty breakfast .



Later we spent some time in the hotel lobby...



...but, since things were taking longer than we expected, we checked again the menu...



...and indulged ourselves with a second breakfast .



At last it was indeed time to leave: bye bye Canary Island .

since we are back in Italy for a few days, today we went for a walk in Trento . At first we roamed the streets...




...until we needed to rest a bit .



Later we found some lovely big flower pots .



Apparently there must be some nice exhibition in town, maybe another day.



Eventually we reached the town main square, Piazza Duomo. Here we took a look at the lovely old buildings surrounding the square...




...and at the Torre Civica and Fountain of Neptune .



Of course, before walking home we found appropriate to stop for some refreshments .

somehow without even being able to take some photos back home, we found ourselves on the other side of the pond in the States .  Today the weather looked great...



...so we decided to accompany Sigfrido to work.




Of course, working was very boring , so we first chitchatted a bit at the window...



...and then went exploring the building. We found some very old fashioned equipment ...



...and even some games.



At last we found the kitchen where we helped ourselves with some coffee .



On the way back we stopped in the reading room to check the magazines...



...and said hello to Einstein .



Back in Sigfrido's office we found some lovely cookies that worked just great with the coffee .

Hi,

today we went for walk in town. On the way we passed through the university campus with some nice old buildings .





Here we met this tiger, who, as always, completely ignored us .



In town we found some interesting shops...




and even an Einstein museum.



Later we had the most impostant stop of the day: every time we are in Princeton we come greeting the tigers guarding the entrance of Nassau Hall and they are always very happy to see us and want to know what we have been up to .



On the way back we passed by some more nice buildings.




Luckily, back at work we found cookies waiting for us .

Hi,

today it was time to leave Princeton, so we headed to the station to catch the train to the airport.



Luckily, considering how long the flight is, Sigfrido suggested that we grabbed some food before boarding .

in our restless travelling today we thought we were going to Italy, and found ourselves enjoying a stopover in Amsterdam instead . There were really strange people in the airport ...



...but we managed to jump on one of the carts and went for a wild ride .

we actually made it to Italy . Since we had big plans for the day we decided to get a good start in the kitchen .



Later we went out and started wandering about .




Luckily our friends sammino, Landroval and Krystal were not with us, or it might have been hard to prevent them from looting certain shops .



Moving on we passed by some of the most famous landmarks . Piazza di Spagna and the Barcaccia fountain,...




...Piazza Colonna with the Column of Marcus Aurelius,...



...the Pantheon,...



...Piazza Navona,...



...Castel Sant'Angelo,...



...and eventually we  reached Piazza San Pietro.



By the time we arrived back home we were really tired, but we found the strength to grab a take away pizza ...



...which turned out to be delicious .



We even had dessert .

Hi,

Today it was time to go back home , so we headed to the airport. Since we were quite early and there was plenty of time before boarding...



...we decided to try some local delicacy .



Later we had another stopover in Amsterdam, but this time we had enough time for a quick visit downtown .  First we wandered around the canals...





...before stopping at the Dam .




All this walking made us hungry .



With a full belly , we explored a bit more the network of canals...





...until it was time to go back to the airport.

Hi,

it has been very quiet here recently, but yesterday Sigfrido told us that he had to be a couple of days in Bielefeld and asked if we wanted to come along. Of course we were very excited at the idea of visiting a city that does not exist , so we happily agreed.  From the hotel window the place looked real enough...



...and even the hotel info seemed to support that .



Nevertheless we never really left the hotel, so we will never know if the place really exists or if we were under some sort of spell .

today we travelled to Italy to celebrate Christmas and we found there our friends sammino, Landroval and Krystal with their guests ready to welcome us .



Of, course, with so many TVs in one room, lot of chatting followed .

Merry Christmas !

Tonight, as usual we celebrated Christmas eve . Of course, as soon as the big people moved away from the table to deal with presents, we took control of proceedings in the dessert area .

Hi,

today we spent the day travelling around the German motorways . It's not exactly exciting to just look out of the windshield for over 10 hours, but I guess it beats sitting at home doing nothing .




And tomorrow it sounds like it's going to be the same on the way back .

today we said goodbye to our friends who are travelling back to Canada .



Orpheus, Sigfrido and I will stay in Europe, so before leaving sammino gave me a big hug and wished me safe travels .
