Hi,

Today I went visiting Verona . Here I was at Trento station on the train waiting to leave.



When I arrived I went straight to the city center. Those archways behind me are called Portoni della Bra’. They were built during the renaissance at the site of an old gate through the city walls.



The archeways lead into Piazza Bra’, a big square in the center of the city.



On a side of the square there’s the Arena, a 2000 year old roman amphitheatre . It’s now used mostly for opera concerts.



Later I wandered around the shopping streets .




I found another old gate...



...and eventually arrived in Piazza delle Erbe, another lovely square .





In the afternoon it was time to go back home, so I went to the station where I waited for the train.



On the way back home I enjoyed watching the landscape out of the window while chatting with Sigfrido, but we also kept the ticket ready in case the inspector came.

Today I visited an exposition of Venetian glass.



The exposition  was in big castle in town and here I was entering it...mmm, no honour guard welcoming me .




These glass creations matched exactly the tableware in the painting above, how cool !



These were creations from different parts of Africa, all made using glass imported from Venice.




I stopped to read some info about this area of the exposition.



Moving around the exposition I saw a bit of the castle. There are nice frescoes...



...and gardens. That tower down there in the background is the Eagle Tower, must be my friend sammino's favourite spot in town .



This quiet esplanade is where some Italian patriots captured by the Austrians were shot during WWI.



That doorway seemed interesting.



It lead to another area of the exposition with some lovely glass creations .





Eventually it was time to leave.

Hi,

Today I am flying back to France. Here I was enjoying the drive to the airport on the motorway .




At last we got close to the airport exit.



While waiting to board the plane Sigfrido and I had a look at the newspaper.



That’s the bus that will take us to our plane .



Eventually we took off. Luckily I had a nice window seat and could enjoy the view over the Italian lakes .




Of course, I got a bit distracted when breakfast arrived .



Later it got a bit cloudy outside, so I just spent the time doing crosswords with Sigfrido.

Hi,

Today I went to Paris ! On the way Sigfrido and I got ready for a long day by boosting our sugar level with some lovely macarons .



Then we studied the map to decide where to go.



Here I just came out of the RER in front of the Opera.



Walking a bit further I reached Place Vendome.




There were a lot of very expensive shops around so I wondered if I could get a new tag, maybe one made of gold and diamonds .




For some reason Sigfrido didn’t seem to enthusiastically welcome the idea , so we just moved on and reached Rue de Rivoli from where we could see the Louvre.



We strolled a bit in the Tuileries gardens...




...and eventually reached the Louvre.




We even had time to visit the underground mall and take a picture of the Inverted Pyramid .

Today Sigfrido explained me how moose are born: according to him they just come out of coffee mugs . As I couldn’t hide my scepticism to that notion, he showed me the mug that he was born from: apparently moose keep their birth-mugs safe and only occasionally go back in there when they want to quietly meditate about the meaning of life .



Later, to recover from the shock of this discovery, I decided to cook something .



As the recipe was in Italian I wasn’t really sure of what we were cooking: I just followed Sigfrido’s lead and hoped for the best .




The results was delicious !

Hi,

I have been told that I will be soon leaving Rouen, so, when today I opened the window and saw what a gorgeous day it was, I decided to have a walk to la côte Sainte Catherine, a place with apparently a great view over the city .



The road started steadily uphill.



But this sign comforted me that I was on the right path .



At this point the road ended and I had to take some very steep stairs.




I had to stop for some rest halfway to that top...



...so I had time to enjoy the trees around me .



Eventually I reached the top and the view was fabulous: I could see la Seine and the cathedral with its spire .



On the way back I stopped to a traditional food market and got some local honey and sweets...they were delicious .

Hi,

Today it was time for me to jump into my travelling quarters and get ready to leave France. Sigfrido told me that I’m going to visit a great host who will take me on a very special trip, I am so excited .



Saying goodbye to Sigfrido was actually a bit hard: it was so great to have such a good friend always with me while I explored the world . He gave me a big hug, wished me a safe trip and told me that I can come back visiting whenever I wish .

Hello Dad,

I arrived in Sülfeld today. Dicker Kumpel gave me a warm welcome.



Then he introduced me to the others.



It is dark outside, but tomorrow the weekend will begin - and I am sure to see more. Up to then I will talk a lot with the others.

Hello Dad,

Today arrived a new ToyVoyager. He is called Frankie_Blue.



He shared his Halloween-Sweets with us.



Then we went outside to make a walk. Here you see us...



...on a big tractor.



Look - a beautiful plant and a lady beetle.



The autumn starts - the trees change their colors.





First I saw this little river...



...later a little lake.



We passed a dangerous place - it is the house of the shooting club.

Hello Dad,

It is me - Krystal. Are you surprised to see me like that? It is Halloween!!! We all  wanted to go as ghosts - but to tell the truth, RikeH is not really good in creating costumes, although she spent hours on it. Well now I look like something between a ghost and a mummy, but I am sure, we will have fun this day.



Well, we went outside and stopped at the first house we found. It seems to be winter? A funny snowman.

Can you see me in my costume?





The door opened and we sang a song - and recited a poem.



Good luck for us - we got sweets.







Well - it was a rainy day - so we decided to go back onto our armchair.



We put away our costumes - well - not everybody did it. Maybe a real ghost - we all were very curious.



Fortunately not - it was a new ToyVoyager here - called Hoots. We were very surprised, because we didn't know that he would come. He was invited more than 6 weeks ago...



Dicker Kumpel gave him a warm welcome.



RikeH told us that we should eat something normal, before eating all the candys, so we had some burgers.



I shared mine with Hoots.



It was yummy. We will spend the rest of the day looking out of the window - and watching the ghosts outside.

Hello Dad,

After a really long flight we arrived in Hanoi. We got our Visas and went to the hotel to relax.

Later in the afternoon we made a walk. Look, this is our Hotel.



There are many motor scooter and motorbikes on the streets.



Back in the Hotel we had a delicious cocktail.



In our room we have a fruit basket. But I don't know all the fruits. Maybe you can
help me, Dad?



Before we went into the bed it was time to go into the bathroom. So many nice things
for me - I will be a very clean ToyVoyager!

today we arrived in Sapa.

I wanted to show you our room for this night.

Yes - we worked on one of my life missions and had a nice time in front of the fireplace.

Hello from Sapa,

today we made a walk in the surrounding of Sapa.We visited two villages of two tribes -
the Black H'mong and the Dzay People.

We were really interested in seeing the rice terraced fields. We made the first photo
as soon as we saw the fields, because it was very misty here.



Some minutes later we saw some more houses.



It was exciting - can you see the buffalos in the fields - they were on they ways, too,
and they are really big. We were a little afraid of them.



This was inside the village.



We didn't want to make close photos of the people here - but this is a photo of
the children in the school - having a sports lesson.



In the evening we jumped into the train back to Hanoi and had a delicious dinner in
the train.

Hello from the Halong Bay,

this is Bay where are 2000 islands. Such a beautiful place, Dad!





Here are the sails on our boat.



We were on the way to a surprise cave. You can see the entrance behind me.



We went to the island with a small boat and had a great view to our boat and a sister boat.



We crossed a floating fishing village, people are living and working there.

It was so wonderful!





From the exit of the cave we saw islands and boats!



We went back to our boat.



We relaxed in the cabin and said goodbye to the Halong Bay.
