Hello mommy!

I did today something nice.
I learn "mom" and "dad" in two languages! I got part of my life mission done.





Here it is in Finnish:

Mom = Äiti

Dad = Isä



And because there's two official language in Finland (Finnish and Swedish), I learn Swedish, too.



Here it is in Swedish:

Mom = Mamma

Dad = Pappa



I so happy, because I learn new things!!! 
Maybe I can learn more languages with my future host...

Hello mommy!

Guess what? Today I went in my envelope again, and tomorrow morning I'm going to start travelling to my next host.

I'm going to Switzerland!!!

Hi mum,
This morning we said goodbye to Zebra

She was only here for a short visit. Now she travels home to look after her husband before traveling on. At first we were a little sad but then the doorbell rang, and the postman brought a special delivery. On Saturday? We were all very excited.

The Post had forgotten on Friday. Host mum was a bit afraid she might be lost. But now she's here and we have warmly welcomed.

Hi mum,
Yesterday morning the weather was not really nice, but it was dry. Therefore, we decided to explore a piece Switzerland. No one betrayed us where it's going.





After a while we saw a sign: Rhine Falls.



And when angels travel, the sun came out. We parked at the Schloss Laufen and could already hear from afar powerful noise. Through the castle gate we came to the old courtyard with its battlements and arrow slits.





By a staircase with various viewpoints we came closer and closer to the Rhine Falls.



We saw small boats that you can drive to the Rhine Falls. It looked from the top right dangerous.





But the platforms were exciting enough, you could not hear yourself speak, so loud were the water masses, and the water sprayed in your face.





















Afterwards we looked at a small antique furniture exhibition in the castle.



On some chairs felt like a king.



Then host dad and I drank a beer.





On the way home through Zurich's wine country we saw huge pumpkins



and tasted of the grapes.

Yesterday host mum has started her new job. So we were alone at home. First we had a little boring but then we had a great idea. We play Pirates of the Caribbean. In the kitchen and in the office, we found everything we needed. Chopsticks, trivets, plastic bowls, paper





and glue. A pirate flag we printed on the computer.





It was hard work, but it was worth it.









We had lot of fun.







The bathroom was a bit under water but only a bit, honorable word.

Hi mum,
Today we went to Einsiedeln. Einsiedeln is a small town in the canton of Schwyz, and known for its baroque church and the Black Madonna.







It is also a place of pilgrimage on the Camino. Unfortunately, the photograph is not allowed in the monastery church. Host mum is looking online for a picture, the church is really beautiful,





you could not tell by the weather, it was foggy, wet and cold. With hot chestnuts, we warmed up a bit.



Then we visited the ski jump.



It is a plastic covered jump and is used for summer training.



Even the students of the high school sports train here.



At home host mum has made a special dinner - Raclette.







Melted cheese with potatoes, cucumbers, onions, sweet and sour homemade pumpkin and more.



It tasted wonderful.

This morning we found a well-known envelope on the table. With an address on it. Curious, we tried to figure out where things are headed, and above all who is going to travel.



Fiete is the lucky one, he can travel to Finland. At first we were all a bit sad Fiete is leaving us, but we were happy for him too. Hemming had to distract him at the computer,

Our new guest called Nils and has traveled from Finland.

Hello mum,
Today I worked on a life mission, mama and papa to write in different languages. Here in Switzerland, there are 4 official languages​​. German, Italian, French and Romansh. I opted for French and Romansh.









And then I have to introduce you a new family member. Her name is Miss Kitty and host mum's first amigurumi. Isn't she sweet?





Host mum has read so much in the forum about amigurumi's. She had to try it too.

Today the weather was beautiful and we visited St.Iddaburg.





This is a prime vantage point with view up to Lake Constance

  Host dad has holidays and has suggested that we drive to Lake Constance. At 9 clock in the morning we started. In Lindau, we had a small break and looked around a bit. The weather was gray and foggy at first, but that gave the lake a particular mood. Here you can see the harbor entrance with the lighthouse and the Bavarian lion.



Also on the harbor is Mangenturm. An old lighthouse, which was from 1180-1300 in operation.



Beautiful is the old town hall, built 1422.





And the city museum.



And then we discovered in a small side street this mammoth tree growing else in America.





Our journey continued to Meersburg. This superb small town is divided into Upper Town and Lower Town. The lower town is on the lake, has a lot of nice restaurants, art shops and wine bars. Here we ate a bite and tasted the new wine.

the weather is atrocious. It rains only once, from morning until evening. But then the doorbell rang, and an envelope was delivered. A new TV. We tried to read the sender but it was strange letters and characters.

Shy Meomie told us, Meomie that's her name, she comes from Vietnam.

Hi mum,
Yesterday we visited host mum's daughter. She is head chef at a hotel on Lake Thun. On our way there we made ​​a short stop at the base of the Pilatus Railway, the steepest cogwheel railway in the world.







Pilatus is good 2000 meters high and the local mountain of Lucerne. We passed on Lungerensee.





This lake is very popular with fishermen. Pike, lake trout and whitefish are some of the fish here.



From an elevated vantage point we had a fantastic view of the lake and surrounding mountains.









We passed the Brünigpass who disappeared in the fog. The weather was weird anyway. One minute blue skies and sunshine, the next moment a thick fog, like here on Lake Brienz.







We drove on and came to Interlaken, a popular tourist destination. The most famous hotel, the Grand Hotel Victoria - Jungfrau.



This under monument protection hotel began as a Guesthouse Victoria. A few years later the neighboring Hotel Jungfrau was bought. Both houses were then connected with a central part.



In good weather, you have a great view of the Jungfrau massif with the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. We saw only fog. On partial adventurous roads







we reached the Lake of Thun. Here the weather meant something better with us.





We hung around in the garden of the hotel



and had a good view of the lake and the mountains.





On the way home we had to drive the long way because on the highway, an accident happened. But without this detour we would have missed this evening atmosphere.
