Travelog for: Mr Pumba

Hi mum,

today we went out for a walk and we had fun in the snow:

Hey hey,

today we visited the Zoo in Gelsenkirchen. The zoo has 3 parts: Asia, Africa and Alaska. First we were in Asia.



These camels were the only animals we could get a good photo of.

Then we went to Alaska.



That is Antonia. Antonia is a polar bear. She is vertically challenged. She still looks like a baby polar bear, but she is really old (we don’t know how old exactly, but older than 8 years).



The seals were nice and came close to us. We had a good look on them. Really funny.

Africa was the last stop on our list.



Look, I found Timon. Aren’t they cute? I really love meerkats.



A giraffe.



A hyena…luckily I wasn’t close, so it wasn’t able to kill me.



A warning sign…maybe Simba is somewhere here?



Look who I found. Haha. Lions.

And with that we were at the end of the zoo. It was a really nice day!

today we had a short walk and saw these fields on our way.

today we made a walk in a park. The park is called Nordsternpark. It is in Gelsenkirchen. In 1997 the „Bundesgartenschau“ was in that park. It was really nice there. We went to the platform where you have a nice view and made 2 photos for you!

today we had a bad case from not knowing where you want to go. BlackCat wanted to visit a nice park in Mülheim a.d. Ruhr and she looked it up online. But when we drove to the address she had found, we weren’t at the park. We were at caste Styrum. But BlackCat wasn’t that sad about it and said we can enjoy our time there. So we did that. And we made some photos for you while spending our time there. I really hope you like them.



In the garden of the castle we found these flowers. Aren't they beautiful? Spring is coming, I guess.



One corner of the garden looked like this. I like the tree somehow.

Happy Easter to everyone out there! We coloured some eggs. BlackCat didn’t made photos while doing it, as she was scared we will get colourful because of it. But we made photos with the eggs.

today we joined BlackCat on her shopping tour in Essen Steele. It is a part of Essen. She had to go to the post office.



On the way to the post office we saw a pet shop and looked at the rabbits who were jumping around in the window.



Then we saw the church next to the post office.



And an old house on the market place in Steele.



And last but not least the shopping street itself.

today was my last day in BlackCats house. So I said Goodbye to everyone.



It was nice here, but I hope I'll have lots of fun at my next host as well.

Hi Mum,

I safely arrived in my hosts home yesterday.
Shortly after I had my first look out of the envelope I met my new buddy TezTez.

We prepared a fruity dinner and afterwards we went to my hostmums dancing class to meet the ladies there 

Look, we had been the first ones on the dance floor. Laaaadiiiiieeees, where are you!!?? 

Today, we went to the office together with our hostparents.

TezTez and I helped out with some administrative work. I wrote down every important thing while my colleague was talking on the phone.

Then it was time to have a break. We had yummy cake hostmum brought for the colleagues and enjoyed the view over the city.

Last Thursday we went to a concert in Gelsenkirchen.

But first we had to stop at the gas station. What the heck - gas is so expensive! 

The concert was of a German songwriter, his name is Stefan Stoppok. He plays folkrock music with German lyrics. He's very good and the concerts are always funny because he talks a lot of nonsens.

And you know what - we took place in the first row! YEAH!

TezTez and I climbed onto the stage and had a look at the technical equipment 

MUM!!! I participated in the 10th Metrogroup Marathon in Düsseldorf yesterday 

Okay, to be honest: we started only as a relay, but hostdad and hostmum ran 26 kilometres all together!

Before, TezTez and I had a look to the map to find out the course and the change points for the relays.

Look, this was the competition number!
