Travelog for: Hasune

Hello world~!
I hope you people are as happy as I am.
My mom has told me I am allowed to start travelling too, isn't that great?
I also have my own tag <3

I can't wait to start travelling <3

And hello again~
I didn't really have time to introduce me, didn't I?
I already found a host!
I'm going to visit fleursmum in Australia!
I'm extremely exited and happy 
Australia is really far away, so I hope my journey won't take too long..

Anyway~
I hope to be able to write again soon.

Here we all are, Toto, Binky, SchokoCookie and me!!

In the evening we went to a Christmas party for the quilting group Sue goes to, there were some pretty decorations

Hi Mum,

Today we went to work with Sue, she is busy doing a stocktake in the library, there was lots of moving books on and off the shelves and scanning them. I got to sit and watch!!



Tomorrow we are off to the beach, so will talk to you again on Monday,

Hi Mum,

Today we went to the beach - we stopped in Geelong on the way for a break from the car - it was a hot day 30 degrees plus so it was good to be by the water,

here I am looking out towards Cunningham Pier - there is a restaurant and a pub out there Mum. The water is Port Phillip Bay and it goes from the sea to Melbourne city.
We had a walk along the waterfront at Western beach and had a look at some of the Geelong Bollards they tell the history of the local area. There are over 100 of them, we got to look at a few

Hi Mum,

We arrived at St Leonards and were going to have fish and chips on the beach for dinner, but it was very windy

Hi Mum,

Today we had a walk along the beach - it was sunny and warm and good to be out and about!

the beach we walked along is behind me

SchokoCookie, Toto, Binky and I found a sea urchin shell.

we sat on the beach for a while and listened to the water and the birds flying over,

Binky talked to us about being safe at the beach 

we thought this sign was very important.

Hi Mum,

This is the view from the back verandah

then this happened..

heavy rain, thunder and lightening - and I thought it was summer here  Strange place this is!!

Hi Mum,
Today was wet and cloudy and windy so we read a book for a while inside.

We had a really nice lunch

strawberries, apricots, peach and nectarine! Yum!

Toto and I shared! 
In the afternoon we went out to the backyard to get some fresh air and there was Binky up a flowering gum tree. Practicing being and Aussie !! 


this is the apricot tree - the fruit should be ready by Christmas

plums should be ready in January..Yum..

Toto and I found some apples hanging over the back fence.

Here we all are sitting in the bougainvillea.

Hi Mum,

On the way home we stopped and had a look at the Geelong Botanic Gardens

this man started the gardens back in 1851 - the lady has a flower press (behind her back) and a little bit of plant she has picked from the garden. Flower pressing was very popular back then,

and this is in the fern and palm garden.

Hi Mum,

We went for a big drive today to Ballarat Wildlife Park.

Here we are ready to go! 


this is a Tasmanian Devil. They growl and scream a lot. The early settlers here in Australia called the Devils because they could hear the noise the animals made, but could only see the red ears, and they were scarey!! You can see how red the ears look with the sun shining on them!

Ooohhh... hello, how are you? This is a western gray kangaroo, maybe it thought I had food?

back to eating now!

over there is an emu and a kangaroo

here is another emu Mum, it was watching me and the food we had left for a kangaroo,

we think this was a crocodile, but it might have been an alligator, we aren't sure 

have a look at this big old lizard Mum, he might have been checking me out for dinner, lucky he was behind glass!!

this baby wombat wanted to come out and play - it is one year old and very cute!

here we are on our way home Mum -- through the gum trees! We have had a busy day so I am off for a snooze on the back seat now!

Hi Mum,
Tonight we went to book club, it was the Christmas dinner meeting, so we joined in with dinner and then had a read of the book the group had been reading - they weren't so keen on this book this month.

Hi Mum,

Today Sue had to drive her son to his work in  the city to collect his car so we went for a drive, but all we did was driving driving and only got one photo to show you - and that was in the car wash!! 

Not so exciting here!!
