Travelog for: KungFu Panda

Early on Wednesday the 24th of December we packed up the car and bundled all the toys in the back. They had to sit on top of the presents because we had too much stuff filling the car up.

Because we left early there wasn't too much traffic and we arrive at our destination at 1.30pm after 7 and a half hours of driving.

We were now in Hamilton to spend Xmas with my family and a few extra days of relaxing.

We had beautiful weather on the 28th of December so went for a drive to and wander around the Hamilton Lake.

We all packed up and left Hamilton on the 30th of December to go and spend New Years at Taupo.
Taupo is situated around a lake which is caused by water filling the crater of a volcano.



The weather was beautiful. We spent a few days eating and looking at the scenery before having to head home.

The bach we stayed in at Taupo was from the 70s and seemed quite like a theme house. All of the cutlery, plates, furnishings and decorating was from the 70s. Very cool!

In Wellington there are a couple of long weekends straight after Xmas break. It makes going back to work a lot easier!

After work on the 16th of January we all headed up to Napier for a quick break. That weekend was Wellington Anniversary so we didn't have to come back to Wellington till Monday.




On the way home KungFu Panda got into the lollies and crawled into the packet to find the one he wanted.




We saw some miniature horses as well. They are so cool. Everyone wishes they could have one in their backyard.

Over the Waitangi Day long weekend we all managed to go up to Waikanae and spend a night at the beach. The weather was beautiful and the scenery up there is amazing.
