Travelog for: Spencer

Our last stopp today we had in Miltenberg, which also is located in Bavaria.

Worth seeing are the Mildenburg (the local castle), which you can see in the far




the Hotel Zum Riesen (one of Germany’s oldest inns, if not the oldest) - you can see the "Zum Riesen" on the right side,




the historical Old Town






the historical marketplace




the river Main






and surely you can find many more interesting places here, but it got late, so we had to drive home again.


The bridge and the tower were built in 1898. The bridge was destroyed in 1945 and rebuilt in 1950.

Today we drove to Mannheim, but we only were there on a short visit, so we had no chance to see more than some high buildings and streets.






We were in the fifth floor, rather high in my opion.




My host's aunt has some nice flowers on her balcony.

We're back in Bruchsal again. You can see the catholic church called St.Paul and on the left you see a grammar school.




In the evening we watched a football match of the EM, UEFA European Football Championship.

Hello Mum,

I arrived in Sülfeld today. Dicker Kumpel gave me a warm welcome!



I had fun in the flowers on the balcony.



There was a funny frog.



Then I talked to this bird.



I arrived in the right time for the soccer match tomorrow!



Look, I found  a nice place to relax.



And Mum – I want to send you some flowers!

Hi Mum,

It was time to see more of Sülfeld. First we stopped at this nice lake – it was a little green.



Behind me you can see the old school.



This is the emblem of the village.



Later we went to the church – first I learnt a lot about it and the surroundings.





It is a beautiful building!



We were lucky – the church was open.







We had fun!



This is the old pharmacy.



At the end of our tour we enjoyed the sunshine and talked a lot! Some of the others will leave soon – but I will stay longer.

Hi Mum,

I went to Bad Oldesloe today. We went into a park with the theme children rights. I loved this funny house.



This shelf was art – so I don’t have to understand all.





I saw some ducks, but they went to other people, because they got food there.



A nice view – but not really something interesting to see.



This fountain was in front of the town hall.





The Stadthaus was next to the townhall.



There were some nice old houses in the town.





And some beautiful flowers.



Look – a water wheel.



I loved playing on this duck.

Hi Mum,

We went to the Zoo of Hannover today. First I saw some hippos. They seemed to have a good life here – lying in the water!



We made a boat trip in the Zoo – and I saw some other animals.



Look – these animals are called zonkey – their parents are a donkey and a zebra.



This friendly duck loved to swim next to our boat.



We passed this nice house. I think that a fisherman lives here.



Then I saw zebras and giraffes – maybe you cannot see the animals that good as I did…



But you see this rhinoceros.



A better view of the giraffes – the one in the middle was really young.



Then we met smaller animals. They are called dogs, too  - prairie dogs.



It was a great day in the Zoo. Dicker Kumpel told me that I will meet an old friend tomorrow!

Hi Mum,

I was in Bad Salzdetfurth again. Can you remember it? I started the Big German RR there at the beginning of the year.

First I sat next to the saline and enjoyed the healthy air.



Just another view of the salines.



We made a group photo on the fountain – Murph went with us – it was great to see him again!



I sat in the Summstein and had fun!



This is a colorful house for doves.



They opened a golf-course here – but it was too hot to play it for us.



There was a big wheel in the park. It is from the time when Bad Salzdetfurth was a mining town.



We went into the town – and found another  relict out of this time.

Hello Mum,

We visited Murph – it was nice to see him again!



We had a great TV-meeting – starting with a drink!



Look – I had a yummy blue drink!





Well – really yummy… I drank a lot of it.



Later Murph and his guests showed us a wonderful cake!





We all went nearer!





It was so delicious - we had a great party!





Later it was time to leave – and we had a big TV-hug!

Hi Mum,

We were in another nice city this weekend – called Hildesheim. There were many wonderful old houses. See me in front of one of the nicest I have ever seen.



Next to it was a smaller one.



This is the town hall.



Look – a wonderful old post box.



Then we went to a big church – called St. Michalis.

It was a little scary to sit there.

Hi Mum,

This weekend we drove to the town Harburg – and went around this lake. This photo was a little dark.



But a little later I sat in the sunshine!



We went to a park – it must have been beautiful in the Past.



We found some nice flowers in one corner of the park.





Then there was a big surprise – we went to another part of the park – and it was so beautiful!





I loved these flowers – and would have loved to send you some!



Today I spoke with RikeH and we decided that I will start my trip to FraJ tomorrow. She will take me on a big holiday – outside of Europe – I am so excited!!!

I said goodbye to Dicker Kumpel – he was such a great host! Mum -  he told me that I will be welcome at his home whenever I need a nice host!



Then all the others gave me a big hug.

Greetings from paradise Thailand!

We flew from Düsseldorf to Abu Dhabi





(Abu Dhabi Airport has a very interesting Tower)

Finally we arrived Phuket after a 16h travel!

So first sleep.

First Day on Phuket?! Sightseeing!

We organized scooters and drove to Promthep Cape. The southernmost point of Phuket.









Everywhere so called houses for ghosts standing around. The ghosts need a home too. And the locals provide the small temples with food and drink.

After sightseeing we drove to the Nai Harn Beach!

The weather is perfect for rainy season, so a couple attractions is wating!

Hellooooo!

We have decided to make today a boat tour! So we drove to Phangnga to take a longtail to James Bond Island.



The Andaman Sea is beautiful and the Gulf of Thailand too!

Beautifully as the rocks sticking out of the sea and the sea has 28 ° C 



Highly recommended!

On the way back to the House, we made ​​a trip to Bangpae waterfall.





Not the highest, but in the middle of jungle! Spiders, snakes and Jurassic-Park-large insects!



Back in civilization
Dinner and processing the impressions! Great Thailand!



Next time we'll go to the Big Buddha Phuket! We'll see how big!

Sunny greetings!

After plenty of beach visits, it was time for the Big Buddha! Then I've been looking forward all the time!

A 45 m high statue, which was funded only by donations.
The Great Buddha is seated on a high mountain in the south of Phuket and you have a great view!







But now the most important:

The Big Buddha!



He is not quite ready yet. And you can buy a small slab of marble and write a wish or a greeting and financed so on completion...

And a small bronze Buddha is there too!



Very impressive!

On the way back we passed a temple. We dared to get in it. Because when you enter holy places, one must sometimes even 2-3 hours of punitive praying...



Meanwhile worse weather for the next week is reported. So let's see what we can do then ...
