Moscow, Russia - 23rd October 2010

By: TaisAfinskaia

Hello mummy!
I`m really sorry that I have not written before - it was not very interesting days.
Yesterday on the way to Maria`s Spanish courses we took several pictures which I want to show you:
It is Pashkov House

Quote:
The Pashkov House is one of the most renowned Classicist buildings in Moscow, currently owned by the Russian State Library. It is believed to be built by Vasili Bazhenov and is located at 3/5 Vozdvizhenka Street, building 1.

The Pashkov House was erected in 1784—1786 by Pyotr Pashkov, retired Captain Lieutenant of the Guards Semenovsky Regiment and son of the batman of Peter the Great.

Pashkov House is so huge and beautiful that I can`t believe that it was built for just living there.

Across the street you can see Kremlin.

Moscow, Russia - 30th October 2010

By: TaisAfinskaia

Hello mummy!
Weather became worse, but I still love walking through Moscow with my host.
I was at Arbat street, then went to the Kievskiy railway-station and at the end made photo at the bridge near railway-station.

Kremlin Moscow, Russia - 31st October 2010

By: TaisAfinskaia

Hello mummy!
I visited Kremlin - the heart of Moscow and Russia. It is very interesting place, I liked The Tsar Bell the most.

Quote:
The Tsar Bell , also known as the Tsarsky Kolokol, Tsar Kolokol III, or Royal Bell, is a huge bell on display on the grounds of the Moscow Kremlin. The bell was commissioned by Empress Anna, niece of Peter the Great.

The bell is currently the largest bell in the world,[1] weighing 216 tons, with a height of 6.14 m (20.1 ft) and diameter of 6.6 m (21.6 ft).

Berlin, Germany - 4th November 2010

By: TaisAfinskaia

Hello dear mummy!
I completed one of my life missions! I flight at the aircraft! I flight to Berlin.

Quote:
Berlin  is the capital city of Germany, and is one of the sixteen states of Germany. With a population of 3.4 million people, Berlin is Germany's largest city. It is the second most populous city proper and the eighth most populous urban area in the European Union. Located in northeastern Germany, it is the center of the Berlin-Brandenburg Metropolitan Area, comprising 5 million people from over 190 nations.

Berlin is very clean and nice city. It was raining, but anyway pleasant. We spent the whole day at the streets of Berlin trying to take maximum of impressions!
I saw many sights and many great parks! But the main thing I liked was:
Quote:

The Brandenburg Gate (German: Brandenburger Tor) is a former city gate and one of the main symbols of Berlin and Germany. It is located west of the city center at the junction of Unter den Linden and Ebertstraße, immediately west of the Pariser Platz. It is the only remaining gate of a series through which Berlin was once entered. One block to the north stands the Reichstag building. The gate is the monumental entry to Unter den Linden, the renowned boulevard of linden trees which formerly led directly to the city palace of the Prussian monarchs. It was commissioned by King Frederick William II of Prussia as a sign of peace and built by Carl Gotthard Langhans from 1788 to 1791. Having suffered considerable damage in World War II, the Brandenburg Gate was fully restored from 2000 to 2002 by the Stiftung Denkmalschutz Berlin (Berlin Monument Conservation Foundation). Today, it is regarded as one of Europe's most famous landmarks.

Just enjoy this photo and come to visit Berlin :) If I`m with you I`ll show you everything :)

Paris, France - 6th November 2010

By: TaisAfinskaia

Hello dear mummy!
Here are my photos from Paris! We were not very lucky - the weather was rainy and gloomy
But I saw some nice places. I don`t know what people think, but I love views of Paris most of all, it`s streets and stairs.
Last photo is Opera House, it is so huge that I couldn`t take picture of the whole house, but believe me that it is very nice.

Somewhere between Russia and China, Russia...China...?? - 1st January 2011

By: Fukumo

Oh no!! I hate to say this, Mommy, but I think I'm lost!  I'm stuck somewhere within the postal system and they seem to have forgotten where I am  :(

I'm going to hang tight in here and hope that someone eventually will find me, and I'll have my neat ID tag that will hopefully help the person I'll run into... so don't fret!  But I think you better find a new TV to take my place!

Hope it won't be long until we meet up again!

Miss you very much,
Valentin

Williams Lake, BC, Canada - 11th January 2011

By: Fukumo

Hello folks!

This very nice lady picked me up from the store yesterday and told me that I was about to go on a trip of a life time... how can I resist??  ;)  In the short time I've known her, I was happy to call her Mom, and after fashioning a home-made ID for me, she took me with her to the post office.  Next thing I know... I'm on my way to a host in China!

She told me all about Valentin and warned me about the hazards being a TV can run into, but I knew that I was willing to take the risk!  I was honoured to be also named Valentin, although I bear absolutely no resemblance to the old Valentin, but Mom said it was because she didn't want to replace him with another dog because that would be "trying too hard", whatever that means

Well, without further ado... WORLD... HERE I COME!!

xo
Valentin (the second)  ;)

Luberci, Russia - 9th March 2011

By: TaisAfinskaia

Everyone should be astonished but...here I`m Valentin the first!
I spent more than 3 months between Russia and China, trying to find home of my new host, but something was wrong and I came back to Maria`s place.
Actually I was in China but have not seen something interesting. My package looks like I was in storm or at the war. But I alive and happy!
