we had a great Halloween night. When it was dark we put on our costumes and headed off. Trick or Treat. We saw spooky pumpkins and other scary creatures.

Hi mum,

Today we said goodbye to Sausi Karl and Yuma. Sausi Karl travels to Vienna to Carolin's mum and Yuma travels to Lichtenfels in Franconia. As a farewell host mum has baked cookies. We have all eaten immediately.

Hello mum,
yesterday we made ​​another trip. To Appenzell, where the famous cheese comes from. On our way there we drove through the foothills.





The weather was so-so. Cloudy and cold.



In Appenzell we saw many brightly painted houses.





This is the town hall.



Then we visited the show dairy.



Here we could see how Appenzeller cheese is made.



The cheese cellar is huge.

In the museum a cheese hut is recreated. We sat down in a copper pot in which the milk is heated.



Then we lay in the bed of the dairy maid.





At the end of our trip we have set ourselves on a cow.

Hello world,

yesterday was my thirteenth birthday.





I'm now a teenager. Host mum and my friends surprised me with a big birthday table.





I got a chocolate cake with a candle on it. 13 candles would have had no place. Then I got a book about cars, a KinderSurprise, and soap bubbles.



My friends sang happy birthday for me.



It was a great birthday.

  as host mum came home from work, she brought an envelope.

  One week it was gray and damp. Today we had enough of the fog and decided to look for the sun. The Tannenbodenalp was the destination of our excursion. The Alp is located about 1400 meters above sea level. It should be high enough for the sun. After a few minutes driving time we saw the sea of ​​fog below us.





On the Tannenbodenalp we had gorgeous weather





and a good view to the mountains



On a small bank, we took a short break.





We enjoyed the beautiful weather and the view.





On our way home we admired the autumn mood at the lake.

our last trip brought us to Stein am Rhein, a small town in the canton of Schaffhausen.



Stein am Rhein is located where the river Rhine leaves Lake Constance.

Today, we have welcomed a new guest. It is Troot, a small sweet elephant from Finland. Host mum opened the envelope and each of us wanted to look into it.

It snows all the time.





And we are waiting for Santa Claus. Maybe he will not come. Troot told us that Santa always comes., No matter how much snow is. Troot should know, he is from Finland. While we wait, the old Theodore tells a Christmas story.
