Sydney, Australia - 1st November 2007
By: Emsta
Just arrived. My flight was long and the seat wasn't that good.
So, this is what Australia looks like. I had imagined it would be sunnier.
The flight was long and I had to find some food, but there's not that much around. Will have to look harder

Randwick Races, Australia - 14th November 2007
By: Emsta
Today I went to the Races. Well, sort of. I went to Randwick Racecourse at least, with my Host, for her Exams. I was most disappointed to hear that the horses were not running.
This was as close as I got to a normal race-goer, just a picture of Megan Gale ... Or so I'm informed.
I didn't quite get what was so interesting about these books, but apparently they were the height of importance

Garden Island, Sydney, Australia - 31st December 2007
By: Emsta
For New Years Eve, we went to see the fireworks from Garden Island, which is a Naval base directly in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Unfortunately they would not allow camera's onto the base. But those photos you see on the net or on the television of the fireworks was basically my view! It was uterly amazing for a small panda.
Of course, the city was packed afterwards, but it didn't spoil my mood.

Monash University, Melbourne - 6th January 2008
By: Emsta
We came from Harriettville down to Mannix College, over the road from Monash University for the Australian Quaker Yearly Meeting.
It was long and at sometimes quite boring for a small panda, who wanted to go sightseeing, but was unable to go through a strange city unaccompanied.
I did however get to try the local delicacy:

Jerusalem, Israel - 24th January 2008
By: alleycat
Today me and another voyager, Twinette Kani, had a walk around the Hebrew University campus where the alleycat works. This place looks like a park, very green and spacey, and there's even a small forest!

Some more alleys and Uni buildings (the round one is a synagogue), and the last one is a view out of the window.

Jerusalem, Israel - 1st February 2008
By: alleycat
Here are some long-due pictures of the snow in Jerusalem, from the end of last week! It doesn't happen often - maybe 1-2 days per year - so I was lucky to catch such an occasion! We didn't go anywhere special - just around the house - because it was too inconvenient to walk, everything is wet and slippery; but it was still enjoyed by the kids, and by all the workers who had an unexpected vacation because the traffic does not work!

Calne, England - 15th March 2008
By: Steve & Helly
I arrived in England today. The weather was awful so I stayed tucked up with some bears Helly has made and caught up on my sleep. Tomorrow I'm off to Wales. I'm travelling there in something called a 2CV. I don't know what that is, I hope it's not dangerous!

Calne, England - 16th March 2008
By: Steve & Helly
Well, I thought the weather was bad yesterday! I'm glad I had lots of bears for company last night, the rain was so bad I may have been scared.
I've discovered the 2CV is a car, a very bright blue and yellow car. Here I am with my new toy voyager friends Pierre Bear and Frankenstein, on my way to Wales for the day.
We nearly turned around, the weather was so bad, and with Steve, Helly, Pierre Bear, Frankenstein, Elephonse AND myself in the car it steamed up so much we couldn't see out the windows.
