Last night at our summer cottage...

we have enjoyed the last time the wonderful view and talked about

our time in Norway

Today we started homebound.

At first we had to cross seven brigdes, some tunnels and ferrys.





























Our next stop for today should be the rock Preikestolen, a Plateau

600m straight above Lysefjord

to get there required a 2 ½ hour mountian hike through a typical

norwegian Fjell-Landscape. On the verge of the rock unfortunately

Hostmum hurts by climbing a crag 

and we had to turn back. What a pity.





We continued our journey southward and crossed curious

landscapes...

Hello mum ,

Last day in norway…  and we visit the southernmost point of  Norway. The Lighthouse Lindesnes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lindesnes_Lighthouse



































After enjoing a summerday we drove to Kristiansand Ferry terminal

and enter the speed ferry to Hirtshals / Denmark

Hello mum,

at the weekend we made ​​a trip to Bavaria, where we have met many other Tvs.

I've looked at Lichtenfels, a lovely little town with many large baskets.



Lichtenfels is a town in Bavaria, Germany, capital of the district of Lichtenfels. It is situated on the upper course of the river Main (pronounced like the English word "mine"), approx. 15 km southeast of Coburg, and 30 km northeast of Bamberg, in an area called Gottesgarten am Obermain (God's garden on the upper River Main



Lichtenfels is the basket-making capital of Germany and has the only college which still teaches the old craft skills. Each year at the end of September the Korbmarkt (basket market) is held when the town is filled with stalls selling baskets from many countries and one can watch many craftspeople at work. On the Market Place in front of the Town Hall you can see the World's largest gift basket.









next stop...Kronach

Kronach is a town in Oberfranken, Bavaria, Germany, located in the Frankenwald area. It is the capital of the district Kronach.
It is the birthtown of Lucas Cranach the Elder and Maximilian von Welsch, as well as Johann Kaspar Zeuss and Josef Stangl. The town is equipped with a nearly complete city-wall and Germany's biggest medieval fortress (Festung Rosenberg).



















back in Lichtenfels, Yosemite has baked a cake and we took the chance 

to celebrate the birthday of Squab and Rockys farewell with 23 TVs....

I hope I counted correctly

Hello mum,

time to say goodbye here in Delligsen, but first we welcomed Hase, she

spend a wonderful time in Switzerland and brought yummy chocolate

We have come away from Wales, to the historic city of York

This is Micklegate Bar, one of the entrances into the city.

Walking along the city walls, we came across York Minster in the background.

My host saw a big wheel and decided to take us on it.

Statue of Constantine the Great. Near this place, Constantine was proclaimed Roman Emperor in 306.

It stands outside the Minster.

We stopped off to do a geocache before walking up onto the walls.

We had a second day in York

We visited the Fishergate Postern Tower.

We'll walk along the walls again.

Surprise surprise, this is the Red Tower.

Then, we came to the National Railway Museum, nice bed on a train.
