hey,

today we were at a barbecue by Karins cousine.

There was a play area. Bullseye and I had a lot of fun.

Hi Mummy,
I arrived at my new host's home! She had to pick me up at the post office, I had to wait there for one day.

My new host Katja and some ToyVoyagers gave me a warm welcome. My new friends are Lorca, Orkku Orava, Alberto and Leopoldi.



I had a yummy breakfast with tons of honey!





I had a look at the fridge than, there I found many souvirs from Katja's own ToyVoyagers - magnets and postcards.



Katja suggested that we could take a walk, that sounds great!

After finishing breakfast we took a walk in the forest. We started our trip in a rural district in the West of the municipal area.



We walked in the valley along river Wupper. You could cross it here.





We saw foxglove in the forest, lovely flowers, but extremely poisonous.



We took a group photo on this cartwheel.



We reached the historical district Unterburg in the neighbour city Solingen. This church was built in late 17th century.





I saw lovely half-timbered houses here. Katja told me that those house are traditional houses, mostly built in late 19th century. They often have green shutters and a green front door.



This creek is flowing into river Wupper here.



This statue is showing a "Kiepenkerl", hard working men who carried all sorts of goods through the rangy landscape in their panniers.

We still followed river Wupper until we reached this bridge. We crossed the river here and walked back on the other bank.



In the meantime a medieval castle came into sight, Schloss Burg. Unfortunatelay we did not come close enough for a better photo.



Our path led us uphill for some time, in the valley you can see Unterburg.



Here we saw more lovely houses with narrow lanes.



It started to rain than, so we all disappeared into Katja's bag  while she and her friend became wet, we still had to walk back to the car for an hour

Hi Mummy,
today there was only time for a rather short walk in the city. First I'll show you the water tower behind the city hall.



We walked behind the shopping mall.



I found another flower here (although most people would call it a pest plant, for me it is a FLOWER), a thistle, even with a ladybird sitting on it.



Here you can see the central bus station.





From a bridge we had a good look at a region called "Hohenhagen", a housing area close to a large woodland area. Katja told us that she likes to take walks there.

Hi Mummy,

we went to a DIY-store today, we had to look for wall paint and other thngs. My host is going to move to another apartment next month and she wants to paint the walls..

We went there in Katja's lunch break. Because the weather was really great, we took a walk to the DIY-store through the city centre. First Katja showed us the entrance area of the shopping mall, Allee-Center. There is a large fountain in front of it.



When we reached the end of the shopping street Katja showed us another fountain, a very colorful one with funny water games.





Oh dear, this area does not look so nice ... Katja told me that DIY-stores often were situated on industrial estates and those often do not look to nice.



Here we looked for wall paint.



On our way back we came along the station area, it was built about three years ago, a bridge for pedestrians was opened last year.





This is the new bridge. Cyclists and pedestrias can now reach the city centre much faster than before when they had to cross severeal streets to get there.





On our way back to the office we bought a few things for lunch, we were starving!

Hi Mummy,

today we started to paint the walls in Katja's new apartement.

After protecting the edge of the ceiling and the  washboards we started to paint her favourite colour in the bedroom.



We even managed to paint the wall without getting terribly dirty



That's all for today, a load of work was waiting for us!

Hi Mummy,
at the moment we are doing nothing but paining the walls in my host's new apartment. We were not sure how to paint the kitchen walls. We already painted the upper parts of the walls with an off-white color. We tried to make Katja's favourite color.

Some cream-white color, a bit blue color and t......oise color....



Guess what is her favourite color - we mixed it perfectly!

Hi Mummy,
we moved to my host's new apartement last Saturday. There isn't everything ready yet, tools and machines everywhere.





After two stressful weeks with horrible weather I'm going to come home in a few days.

I came back home today! It's so nice to be at home again.
Mommy said she has missed me, oooh! <3

Now I have lots of talk about to mom and to Kurnau and others about all my adventures in Austria and Germany...

Today we all toys watched the Opening Seremony of the Olympic Games from TV.
It was a cool show!

Hello!

I visited in a new place today: Korpilahti. It's located very near of Jyväskylä.



I was there with mommy in a postcrossing meeting. I had such a great time in the meeting, and I met new ToyVoyagers there!
Another host (Fendi) was there, too, and offcourse with all her toys and toy-guests (PieksiHH, Nils and Kitsune).



We all toys have really fun time together!
When mom and other humans there wrote postcards,
we toys were eating their snacks, hih.



After eating we got thirsty, so we made coffee.



And then we played hide and seek! But it didn't go so well,
because the most of us was hiding under the glass.



Here are only some of the postcards what postcrossers wrote.



And here we toys are helping to mail those postcards.



It was really fun to join in the meeting! 

After the meeting we all toys visited in the harbour of Korpilahti.



There happened really fun thing! hih!   








We others had sooooo fun time, when Kurnau gave an interview to the ice cream!!! 

Then some wild ducks came to swim in the harbour!



And wwe found this little (and weird) fountain there. And the car behind it looks cool, isn't it? 



This building is quite unique looking, I think.



And there are we toys, with mom.



Then we found a playground, and we had some great time there!!!
Look, we are sailing!







And offcourse we climbed!





It was really fun day!!!

Hello!

Today morning one of us left, but in the afternoon we got more company again because a new toy arrived.

Totoro. left here today. He goes to USA to his new host.
We said goodbye to him, and wished a safe and confortable journey.

And then the new toy Cody Otter beaver arrived here. He told very interesting stories about his travels. He has a travel memories notebook with him, and he showed it to us. It was nice!

Hei! Hello!

I'm so exited, because I heard I will take part in RR for ToyVoyagers!
And mommy said I will start travelling very soon. It's so great!
But before leaving here I wanted to go outside and see the sunset. It was beautiful.

Hei! Hello!

Today is the day I start travelling again. I'm going to join in Long time RR, and I will go to visit Germany first.
I'm so exited about it.

Mommy gave me one guide for my journey: "Nauti jokaisesta hetkestä!" which means "Enjoy every moment!". I'm going to keep that guide in my mind.

Everyone here said goodbye to me, and they wished me to have great journey. I'm going to miss them, but in the same time I'm really exited to see new places in World.

Well, Germany, be ready, I'm coming!!!

Hello Mum.

Today I arrived at Bochum. I was so excited to see, who will be there to welcome me.



Then my envelope was opened and the first thing I could see was a friendly face looking at me. Then I could see that it was a little hedgehog. His name is Knöpfchen and he will also take part in our long time RR.







Then I saw all the other TVs who waited to welcome me. There were Hase (Germany), Purple Tentacle (Germany), Sterni (Germany), Little Dragon (Germany), Zeitgeist (Germany) and Snowball the stay at home TV from my new host mum Shilo.
We talked a while over our adventures; it was cool to hear so many new stories.





Then I showed the others the things I had brought with me. Snowball was very happy when I gave her the postcard. She told me that she is collecting the postcards from all around the world, which the visiting TVs were bringing with them.







After that the others hugged me to welcome me warmly. It was so really nice.



Then we went into the kitchen and took out a cool ice cream. Purple helped Little to cut the ice into pieces. Can you see the small butterfly’s on it?









The ice cream was very yummy.



I think I will have a great time here in Bochum together with all the other TVs.
