New Mexico, USA - 26th March 2007
By: wourpet
After I was picked up in Springerville Arizona I traveled to Farmington New Mexico and saw some really neat rocks. One of them had a hole in it and one looks like a giant ship.
This picture is of me and my family at the lodge in Springerville Arizona before we left. A Movie of our Trip

Des Moines, IA, USA - 6th April 2007

I went to Iowa and while I was there I visited places like Ames, Des Moines, Nevada and a couple of others. I saw the capitol building in Des Moines but the picture isn't very good and I'm not in it because I had to keep my seat belt on.

Central Florida, USA - 16th May 2007
By: wourpet
I got to fly down to Florida for a visit in May and went all the way to the docks at Daytona Beach but I stayed in the car. I had to take this picture myself because my friend was driving. I saw the speedway as we drove by but the picture of it is just tree tops.
I stayed in Orange City and and on the way back home I met Florence at the airport and brought her home with us to New Mexico.

I'm currently back at the house in New Mexico and today while I was out for a walk in the back yard I bumped into Florence. She has been visiting here for about a month and we both feel its time to go traveling.

Morado is excited about this trip. He looks forward to stopping off for a visit with BunTraveler in Oregon (where its rumored his brother Picado is also heading after visiting Willow in Australia) and after that he is heading to Kitimat where steelxrose will be helping him along with his travels. He hopes to get pictures posted.

Veneta, Oregon, USA - 18th June 2007
By: BunTraveler
Well, I finally made it to Oregon. Not a bad voyage at all. A little dark in that envelope but not too scary for a rabbit.
Upon arrival we stopped at the local town sign where I was visiting. My host is a funny one and told me to just "hang out" for a minute and she would take my photo with the sign. I didn't think she really ment "just hang there" but evidentally she did as before I knew it---there I was---hanging.
Then we arrived at the home of my host. Inside, I was greeted with a wild and crazy welcome by this purple thing called an O-Rang.
Her name is "Jelly" and once she calmed down a bit we became better aquainted. She looooooves purple and when she saw me she had to give me a kiss and a big Jelly Hug!
I guess she does that to everyone that comes for a visit.
She is also a toyvoyager but she has yet to travel.
Then I got to meet Roger the Rabbit. He is a lucky rabbit. His garden is very large and full of the best rabbit food I have ever seen. He gave me a quick nose rub and told me he really likes purple rabbits too and that he thought we would get along very well.
In a few days I will be taking a few travels around the area to get to know Oregon a bit. I will be writing home again very soon.

Eugene, Oregon, USA - 19th June 2007
By: BunTraveler
My host and I went visiting some nice people today and introduced me to them. She told them all about toyvoyagers.
Then my host drove us to a beautiful rose garden that is very very old but very beautiful. The link here tells more about the gardens and the area.

The garden is very large and we could only get a few photos of parts of it. All the roses and flowers were in bloom and it was breath taking. The odors in the air were so sweet.
I think I like visiting Eugene, Oregon. There are some nice people and it is so beautiful here.
Then my host drove us to the top of what is called "Skinners Butte."
This was the family name of the persons that first settled in the Eugene area and started a small town.
It was very high up there but it was a fun place to view the whole town about half way around the downtown area.
While driving around Skinners Butte there was this very old house along the side of the hill and I asked ---who lives there?
My host told me that no one does at this time but it is the home of Shelton/McMurphy/Johnson. The family originally settled in Eugene and became friends with the Skinners and they then built the downtown Eugene stores and farmed the area together.
The old house now is kept very beautiful for different types of gatherings and special occasions.
The link tells of the family and the surrounding area.

Then we topped off the day by visiting a chocolate store. That was a lot of fun. We took some other toy voyagers too and we all got some dark chocolate that was called a truffle and a turtle. I never saw a chocolate turtle before.
But I ate it all and it was wooooooonnnderful!

Springfield, Oregon, USA - 21st June 2007
By: BunTraveler
Today was a great sunny day for going to the park. We took with us some friendly toyvoyagers that are visiting.
First of all, let me tell you I am not into big geese. This one came so close I froze in fear of being eaten alive. All of us sat very still.
Later our host explained to us that geese don't like little rabbits or other little plushies anyway so there was no fear of being eaten alive! She was just curious.
Then we ventured over to a big strore that sells a lot of toyvoyager ducks. The store is next to Autzen Stadilum where Oregon Footballers go to play their games. You can see it in the background behind me.

I must say---these people in Oregon are really into a lot of ducks and great big O's!

On the other side of the park there were these great little peddle cars. Toys on Wheels! Wow---made just for toyvoyagers to travel about the park. Great! My host loaded us up for a venture around the park and we got to see the river and more ducks and more ducks and more ducks. Goodness there are a lot of ducks in Oregon.
We had a great day with the other voyagers and riding around in such a fun peddle car.

Morado had a very busy weekend just before traveling to his next host in Canada.
Morado and Picado went to the Black Sheep Gathering to hang around for the day.
All the little ducks at home said goodbye to Morado and wished him a great journey

On the way to the post office just before shipping, Morado visited the Fern Ride WildLife Center before leaving and learned how the wetlands are a fragile eco system.
