Farmington, NM, USA - 13th August 2007
By: wourpet
Today we had a new visitor arrive. We had heard she was coming and we were very interested in meeting her.
Aunt Flo, Blossom and Petal, Humphrey, Stinger, Blanche, Rita and me all gathered around waiting for Wourpet to open the package.
Not only did we get to finally meet Ballet Cindy but she had a travelling companion as well named Holiday Harry.
Humphrey was downright smitten with the pretty, but shy, Ballet Cindy.
He told me he might become a Toy Voyager afterall just to be able to meet more friends.

Today Ballet Cindy and I got to go on a road trip and we are now in Vernal, Utah. We had fun along the trip but it was very tiring. I will tell you more about it tomorrow.
This is a picture of us when we were ready to get in the truck. The next picture is us in the mountains and then a picture is of us in our bed in the motel.

Ouray, Colorado, USA - 21st August 2007
By: wourpet
We went through the little town of Ouray. It is called the Switzerland of America on the signs. Wourpet told me it is pronounced you-ray. Ouray is nestled at the bottom of a very high mountain called red mountain. It has lots of victorian buildings and also has a hot springs.
There were lots of little shops along the streets but we didn't get to go shopping.

Molas Pass, USA - 21st August 2007
By: wourpet
Before we got to Ouray we travelled through 2 mountain passes. One was the Red Mountain Pass and one was the Coal Banks pass. We also went through the towns of Durango and Silverton.
One place we stopped was up at the summit of Molas Pass We were at 10,910 feet (or about 3325 meters) and the air is supposed to be the cleanest in all of the USA. As we were going back down the mountain we drove past Molas Lake.
Then we ate at Montrose and drove on to Grand Junction.

Farmington, NM, USA - 31st August 2007

We're tired and weary and back in Farmington. The mountains we drove through on the way to Grand Junction looked very different on the way back. The mountain called Red Mountain really was red. There is a ghost town there called Red Mountain.
I still didn't get to go shopping in Ouray though.

Farmington, NM, USA - 11th September 2007
By: wourpet
We didn't get back from the airport until midnight last night and we were very tired. Wourpet carried us in the house and put us to bed. This morning we went outside and found a really big surprise. The Blue Star Mother's had been there last night and put up lots and lots of flags and decorations on the deck.
They wanted to surprise Wuff on the Rocks and Coney with a big welcome home.

Today we had new guests arrive! Froddo and Daisy Duck arrived from Iowa. Daisy Duck is from Great Britain and Froddo is from Australia. We were talking about our travels and we found out we were ALL visiting in Red River New Mexico recently. I was there when we hosted Henry the Adventure Hound and Budd. Froddo and Daisy were there when they went to a family reunion.
