Las Vegas, NV, USA - 25th October 2009
By: Nancyjb
Hi!
We all arrived in Las Vegas: the two Nancys, Pisoni, Teuki, and me!
The first night we stayed at the Palazzo which is part of the Venetian. Then we moved to the Wynn next door the next night. The Nancys had visited the Wynn's casino last year and were looking forward to staying there one day. It was even nicer than they expected.
The room was on the 33rd floor and had a huge window looking towards the mountains. Everything on our floor and room was cream and salmon colored which was very pretty.
Here are some photos of the hotels and the inside of the Wynn; they have beautiful flowers, plants and mosaic floors.

Hi
First, I forgot to show the photo of us in our nice bed at the Palazzo. We love these fancy hotels!
The rest of the photos are on our road trip to the Red Rocks National Park right outside of Las Vegas. The weather at night is cool and only in the 70's during the day. We all thought it would still be in the 80's so it wasn't real good weather to go to the pool.
But it was good hiking weather. We spent about five hours driving and taking hikes in various parts of the park. It was a good day!
Entering the park we saw a sign about horses and burros in the park so I was excited - maybe I'd see a burro in person! Well the closest we came was to a sign, you can barely see me at the bottom of this big sign.
From the other photos you can see why it's called Red Rocks Park!
The last photo shows the last part of the park that we visited. It was a natural meadow with pink rocks. It was so pretty!
Monday we stayed in the casinos because it was only in the low 60's and way too cold for the pool, sadly. But we had a fun time in Las Vegas!

San Diego, California, United States of America - 3rd November 2009
By: Carolyn
Hi there!
Today I went to Mission Valley , in San Diego, to Hazard Center (that's a mall). We met Carolyn at a coffee shop there and I decided to go with her. She took me around the some shops... I posed with some little things that were just my size! And then we stopped in at the library. I found a funny little building. I even tried to look inside. Then we came back to Carolyn's house. I met her cat, Izzy, and together we took a little nap. Boy was I tired!

Hi again,
I just met the other toyvoyagers that are staying here. There's Midnight Sneaky Puss, the cat from Ohio, Yakety Sax, the yak from Canada, Marshall, The wolf in sheep's clothing from Prague, and Marty the monkey from North Carolina. They all seem very nice.
Then I decided to try doing some drawing... A popular activity around here (both my new hosts are artists!)
Well, bye for now!

Seaport Village and Waterfront, United States - 8th November 2009
By: Carolyn
Hi Again!
I've been busy here with Carolyn and her family. We went down to the Seaport Village and the waterfront, and guess what? We took the trolley! It was great! On the walk there we took a picture of the trolley bridge. There were cruise ships docked at the port. Carolyn looked to see if someone would take me along, but no luck!
There was also a sculpture exhibit along the waterfront called Urban trees... I saw a mermaid and an eagle! In the Seaport Village I got a close look at some ducks. Then we took the trolley back again. I sure liked that train!

The New Children's Museum, , United States of America - 22nd November 2009
By: Carolyn
Hi,
Yesterday we went downtown to the Children's Museum. What a place! The first picture is right outside, then when we walked in there was a HUGE trojan horse! We went upstairs and actually got to go inside. Then we went down to the "Rainbow Room". I watched a monkey on TV!
It's such a fun place!

Tijuana, Mexico - 28th November 2009
By: Carolyn
Hi there!
We went down to Tijuana last weekend, what an adventure. We took the trolley to the border town of San Ysidro and walked across to Mexico! Right inside the border was a the prettiest cow I've ever seen!
Then we walked into the city to the wax museum. Many interesting Mexican officials and heros have been sculpted in wax, also Elvis was there! Then I posed for a photo by the famous Tijuana arc!
Hasta luego... Holgi
