Hamburg, Germany - 23rd October 2010
By: Mondfalke
Hello!
I am very excited today. Jenny told me that we are going to visit a Postcrossing-Meeting. Postcrossing is a project about sending and receiving postcards, if you want to learn more, have a look here:
www.postcrossing.com
We met with the group at the main station and had a walk through the city. As we did this before, we didn't take any photos. Then we climbed the St. Michaelis-church, we already visited it, too but didn't went on the tower.
We had a very great look over the city as we also had sunny weather!
This view shows the Millerntor-stadium, the Heiligengeistfeld, the Reeperbahn but it isn't very good to see as it is all very small of course.
Here you can see the TV-tower.
And here is the river "Elbe" with the harbour.
On this picture are many of the churches of Hamburg to be seen.
On the richt edge of the picture you can see the town hall and the lake in the distance is the "Alter", located right in the centre of Hamburg.
The small houses in the middle belong to the "Krameramtsstuben", some very small, cute old houses.
Of course we walked along the harbour and have a look at the ships and everything.
Mister Snow was with us to the meeting, too. We both get some stickers of the meeting on our bellies.
All the people around us were busy writing and signing cards and we had a look at some of them.
After the meeting all the cards were placed on a table, so many of them.
After all this exciting day we went home very tired. I hope this was not my last Postcrossing-Meeting!
Bye,
Lilo

Berlin, Germany - 21st May 2011
By: Mondfalke
Hello again!
And another Postcrossing-Meeting. This hobby really brings us around in the country, there will be another one in Münster soon. But I should not mix things up, so I will first tell about Berlin!
The meeting started at the TV-tower near Berlin-Alexanderplatz.
As you can see, we had a really nice blue sky but also a cold wind.
From the TV-tower we walked to the Potsdamer Platz and visit all the sights on the way.
Berlin has a big aquarium center and this is what you can see from the outside.
And not only Cologne has a Dom, Berlin has one, too! It is not so big but totally different in style.
We walked along the street called "Unter den Linden" until we reached the Brandenburger Tor.
From there we continued to the Postdamer Platz.
After arriving at the Potsdamer Platz we went to a restaurant and tend to the usual writing and signing of cards.
Ooh, they put a sticker on my back!!
Unlike the other meetings, we went afterwards to a high house where you can go on top. There we had a great view over the city.
Under this tent-roof we were eating just some time before.
In the distance you can see the Reichstag, the government of Germany is located there.
Now I am really tired, so much walking, so much talking and so much seeing.
Bye,
Lilo
