Travelog for: Boone Racoon

Today along with Mara-Joy, Boone the Raccoon...went on a trip to the UK too, for awhile.

Very excited of course but eager to travel.
His backpack (where Beak hides himself  ) was ready for this event.
So we say Goodbye, see you soon , we love you Boone & Beak...take care of yourselves.

"Hey Wendy, we're here!" said Boone, full of excitement.

"Quack!" said Beak.  He didn't know many words yet.

"Wendy, we got to play in a Norchestra", said Boone. 
He was very proud of his new skills.

"Wack", said Beak, forgetting he still had the flute in his mouth. 

"Wendy, Wendy!  We went to the Park!" said Boone, still slightly dizzy from swinging too high. 

"Quack!" said Beak, who was always a bit dizzy anyway. 

"See you soon Wendy", said Boone, "Night Night."
And he settled down to rest.

"Quack quack", said Beak, sleepily.

Boone was impressed today because he went on a bus.
"Me and Beak like the bus Wendy", he said.

Beak didn't say a word.  He was holding on with all his might as the bus lurched round yet another corner.

"We saw some ducklings Wendy", said Boone, proudly.  He knew Wendy would like the photos of her ToyVoyagers with the fluffy baby birds.

Beak couldn't speak.  He felt like all his birthdays and Christmases had come at once.  "Quack", he said to himself, softly.

Boone saw Anne Hathaway's Cottage and thought what a lovely place it was.  "Wish you were here too Wendy", he whispered.

"Quack", said Beak, nodding his head.

Boone and Beak enjoyed the pretty flowers in Mrs Shakespeare's garden.

"We got you a postcard Wendy, and we'll write it tonight", said Boone.  Beak was already in his travelling pouch, searching for a pen.

Boone was delighted to see the old buildings in Chesterfield, even though secretly he thought they might be about to fall over on top of him.

"Wendy, they talk funny up here", said Boone.

"They say 'EH UP ME DUCK' when they mean to say Hello".

"Beak likes it here because he thinks everyone is always talking to him".

"I will tell you more funny things they say later".

Beak liked Derbyshire.

Everyone in Derbyshire loved Beak because they all knew him by name.

Everyone in Chesterfield called him "Duck".

He was very happy all week. 

'Quack' he smiled to himself. 

It was great being the most popular animal in town. 

Boone and Beak enjoyed seeing the Market Hall and Chesterfield's outdoor market stalls. 

Chesterfield has one of the largest outdoor markets in the country, though it is only full of traders on a Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so today was a bit quiet.

Boone and Beak went shopping in 'The Pavements'.

The last time Isobel had been here (end of June) all this area was closed as first the town centre was hit by flooding, and then there was a fire in a local supermarket. 

So within a week, the town had to be evacuated twice!

"Glad we weren't here then Wendy" said Boone.
"Quack" agreed Beak, earnestly.

Boone was sitting staring into space because Mara-Joy had bagged the red pen first and was helping Isobel with the work.

Suddenly, Boone got the pen! 

"Wendy, look at me!  I'm marking too!" said Boone.

Unfortunately, Boone didn't bother reading the work either, so Isobel had to work on alone.

Beak was mildly perturbed that Isobel was actually intending to drink the hot muddy water for which they'd been to Caffe Azul.

'Quack', he muttered, but Isobel drank it anyway.

He was right though, it was revolting.

Never ignore a duck who warns you off coffee.
