Travelog for: Herk

Herk began his journeys today!  He is very excited because in 10 short weeks he will be a special gift to a very special graduate.

After Herk visited the Memorial Marker for Cathy Jokerst, former Mayor of Festus, he met up with fellow TVs in the park.  They discussed their nervousness and eagerness to begin travelling. Begining TVs all of them, they were eager to start some fun and exciting journeys.

They also climbed the sign.  Just to get a better view of Festus!

Today Herk wished Traceyeratops farewell.  She left the Festus ToyVoyager Bed and Breakfast after a delicious breakfast.  She decided she wanted to venture out on her own and found a cozy place to hide in Billy Porter Memorial Park. Here, playground equipment beckons neighborhood children to play just 2 blocks from the local elementary school. 

While here, Herk played on one of the horses, even though it was raining.  Herk can't resist an adventure.  He is also honored to visit so many interesting places in the area.  Though Herk never met Cathy or Billy, he is sure they made a big difference.  "They have parks named after them!  They must be smart people," he said.

Herk joined Inch, Skylerdragon, and KDW for Cuddlebunny's Birthday Party.  What fun that was! It was so nice out that Cuddlebunny wanted to go outside for most of the day.  Herk suggested geocachingt and of course, Cuddlebunny was elated.  We found 2 caches and tried to find a third before KDW had to go home.

After that, We had a party at the Festus TV B & B.

Sennit:  Braided cordage formed by plaiting several strands of rope fiber or similar material.

The sennit on Herk's tassel fell over his face during the picture. 

Bel esprit  A cultivated person with fine intellect.   Herk thought himself too much of a bel esprit to enjoy tromping around in the woods looking for plastic baubles and rick-a-rack. 

Herk had a fine time Geocaching with Matthew, Tammy, Cookie, Rikki and Rainbow Brite.  After all, he learned a little bit about another one of Missouri's fine parks.  "I always love learning new things." He explained when sitting with Rikki as the sun set. 

Herk didn't like getting his fine coat soiled though.  That part was unsettling.

Today I went home with Allysha.  Allysha is graduating and I am being sent to her in appreciation from the students of Matthew's 1st hour writing class at STMS.  She helped us many times and showed us all how to improve our writing. 

I hope Allysha enjoys my company!
