We thought this was a very funny picture. The text says: 'The polar bears are back'. I don't think this ostrich is very happy with the situation.

And look at these small geese. They're still so small and fuzzy

Today was also the day for Tiah Tigris to resume her journeys. She's now on her way to Australia!

Yesterday was a really special day. We went to visit Charda's grandmother in Oosterhout in the South of the country. We even stayed for the night. Here we are on the train on our way there.




And here's the view still at The Hague Central Station.



Today we walked through the village of Oosterhout. We first met these deer in a small park.



Here you can see what used to be a small castle. Nowadays it's just a building with some apartments and offices.


Here's another beautiful building.





This statue is in honour of all the men who are fifty years old. Apparently they have the tradition in this town to visit this statue once a year with all the fifty-year-old men. The mayor is also there and he will give a speech. And after that they will party together






This statue looks a little scary, but we were brave enough to take a picture with it





These persons were a lot nicer than the ghosts of the other statue. This statue was made in remembrance of the Second World War.




And now we're back home again

When we came home today, a new TV was already waiting for us! It's Jadzia Tam!

And at the same time everyone had to say goodbye to me. I am leaving to a new address already. I'm sad to leave. I certainly had a great time here in the Netherlands!

Hi! I just arrived in Toronto! The weather is really nice outside, so I was happy to come out of my package!

Another TV - Rob - was here to greet me. 



Rob is a mouse from Sweden who has been staying here in Toronto for a couple of weeks now. We spent a little time chatting about our travels...



I was a little hungry from my travelling, but dinner wasn't ready yet, so Rob generously shared his chocolate with me!

Tomorrow Stephanie is going to take us souvenir shopping! 

Hi mum!

Sorry I haven't updated my Travelog for a bit - poor Stephanie's camera broke and we had to wait until she fixed it. But it's going to be a busy week because tomorrow she's taking us all to work with her in downtown Toronto so I will see lots of sights! And this weekend we're going to go up north to her cabin!

Rob the TV has already been there once and he says I'll really enjoy all the fresh air and relaxation we get to do! 

This morning, another TV arrived.



Cliff is originally from Holland and is really small. Cliff has been travelling all over the world so we exchanged lots of stories!

I have arrived at Abby's home in Canada!  I was greeted by Abby's other visiting ToyVoyagers, though Greedy seemed more interested in his snack than in me...

A new TV arrived today, Alizée.

A new ToyVoyager arrived today, Vladimir.

Abby had a couple packages to pick up at the post office and so she took everyone along.  Out of one of the packages popped Hedgie Hedgehog!

This is the famous horse clock in Maple Ridge, basically the only interesting thing in the city.  There's a legend that goes with the clock and the horse.  The horse represents a beast that fought for Mother Nature against those who were hurting the environment, but was gravely hurt in the process.  Mother Nature set up the clock as a reminder to not hurt the environment.

It's pouring outside, so everyone decided to see what we could do as a group to keep us amused.  Alizée decided to show us some yoga poses.  Greedy opted out and decided to just watch.

After all that yoga, everyone was exhausted.

After yoga, we made tea.



The cup is actually Abby's; she found a smaller, ToyVoyager-sized cup for everyone.  Nothing beats Earl Grey on a cold, wet day

Then, we decided to read to each other.  Shirley Sheep went first, reading us a fairy tale called Princess Abigail and the Wonderful Hat.  It was apparently Abby's favourite when she was younger, because of the name.



Abby encouraged Greedy to read next.  He chose When Vegetables Go Bad.



Vladimir offered to go next, and instead of choosing a nice picture book to read and look at, he chose one of Abby's textbooks, Environmental Policy.



Zzzzzz...What?  Oh, right, we were reading about environmental policies...zzzzz.

Just look at this view!  Maple Ridge, where Abby lives is on the edge of the Vancouver suburbs, so there is a lot of farmland and there are also a lot of dikes around, because it's a fairly low-lying area.  In the background, on the right, you can see the mountains called Goldenears.  Lots of wildlife lives in the marshes, including herons, muskrats and beavers, but I didn't see any.
