Garuda Wisnu Kencana - Bali, Indonesia - 8th May 2013
By: Linda Fdph
Hello, iam visited Mandala Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK), a 240 hectares private cultural park on the Bukit Peninsula at the southern end of the island of Bali in Indonesia, 15 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Bukit is a limestone plateau with Uluwatu to the west and Nusa Dua to the east.
It is devoted to the Hindu god Vishnu, and his mount, Garuda, the mythical bird who is his companion.
Garuda Wisnu Kencana is a massive, unfinished statue in Bali that currently exists in pieces. Conceptualized by the Balinese artist Nyoman Nuarta
When it's completed, it will be the largest statue in the world.
Dominating the park is Wisnu, a bust of a Hindu deity constructed from giants slabs of copper and brass. Representing the divine force responsible for the protection of the universe, the 22 meter Wisnu figure is a modern rendering of an ancient cultural tradition. The companion piece, Garuda, represent the giant bird which transports Wisnu, a symbol of both freedom and selfless devotion
With love

Hello Mum
Iam being located at Werdhi Budaya
The Werdhi Budaya Art Centre located at Nusa Indah Street is the heart Denpasar City of Bali Island. The Werdhi Budaya Art Centre was started in 1973 and finished in 1976. The Werdhi Budaya Art Centreits one of the largest and most complete in series of cultural centres built throughout the archipelago by the Indonesian Government over the last decade.
Designed by Bali's foremost architect, Ida Bagus Tugur, the vast complex is apart from its very real cultural function, a showplace for Balinese Arts and Palace Architecture at its most opulent.
It is featuring the good lay-out building of amphitheater to be a place/hall of show performance purpose. Pacet-East Java, Indonesia - 1st October 2013
By: Linda Fdph
Dear Mom
We spending a lot of time in Grandpaw n Grandmaw home in East Java after the hostmom exam completed.
We play in the rice field behind Grandpaw home. In Indonesia , rice is major source of food for the majority of the population. It is a plant that requires plenty of water and heat. In Java, Bali, and other islands in Indonesia the rains are so plentiful that it is possible to grow three or four rice crops a year. Rice fields are surrounded by low walls to maintain the water at a time when fields are flooded. In mountain areas, the paddy fields form terraces where water flowing from the top successively fills each of them. Planting, harvesting and threshing rice is a slow process done by hand.

Gunung Kawi Temple - Bali, Indonesia - 1st February 2014
By: Linda Fdph
Dear Mum
Yesterday, we went to Gunung Kawi, an ancient rocky temple situated in Pakerisan River, near Tampaksiring village - Gianyar Regency in Bali. This archaeological complex is carved out of the living rock, dating back to 11th century.
To reach the complex, visitors must walk about 600 meters from the parking lot to the ticket counter then walked down on approximately 315 stone steps. Before taking a cross on the bridge at the bottom of the valley, you can see the first stone monument. Another group of stone monument is carved on the left side of the main temple across the river.
