Travelog for: Lola Rabbit

Hello, I'm Lola Rabbit and I want to see the world. Mum quickly managed to arrange a host for me and my first destination is Sterzing in the north of Italy. I had a look on the map and saw that it's a journey of about 500 km. So I hope it won't take long to get there. I said good-bye to the other TV's and then I slipped into my envelope.

Hello!
Today I arrived in Sterzing. Immediately my host took my in his garden to show me the catkin. Beautiful! I'm so excited what I'm going to see next. 

Hello there!
Today my host took me to a sightseeingtour at Sterzing. First I saw the town's landmark, called "Zwölferturm". The tower is about 46 meters high. Wow! In the pedestrian zone I saw the 510 years old town hall. I also saw the mediavel frontage, very impressive!

Dear Mum,
today my host took me to a trip to the village called Mareit near Sterzing. There I visited the castle "Schloss Wolfsthurn". The castle has 365 windows and inside there is a museum of hunting. To arrive in Mareit I drove through a valley called Ridnaun and so I saw many beautiful mountains, who are still covered with snow. 

Hi,
my host took me to two mediaeval castles near from Sterzing. The castle "Sprechenstein" is on the eathern site of the valley of Eisack. The castle is situated on a about 200 meters hill. Opposite of "Sprechenstein" is the castle "Reifenstein". This castle can be visited in the summer, but I saw it only from the outsite. 

Hello mum,
on this sunny, but windy Sunday I made a little trip to the Mareiterbach. The water was very cold and I couldn't go swimming. So I only could take a seat on a stone at the waterside of the creek.

Wow!  What a journey!  I have now arrived in the USA!

I was greeted by 3 other TVs - Peep, Milk Chocolate, and Big Glubschi.



My new hosts want to say a big thanks to Katharina for the wonderful chocolate!

My new friends are so nice!  I can't wait to get started on some great adventures!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

I woke up very confused this morning.  Somehow, Easter happened again!

After I woke up, I stretched out my ears like normal.  Something felt different.  Something was on me!  I jumped out of bed (just in case it was a spider).  I found myself wearing a beautiful dress!



I wanted to find a mirror and see me in my new dress.  But this is a new house to me, and I had no idea where to look.  I was just starting to look around when I spotted this -



My very own Easter Basket!  I was so excited.  Hop, Hop and...



HELLO CHOCOLATE!!!

Excuse me for a moment.



When the others awoke, I found out it was my new friend Peep who planned all this for me.  She knows how important Easter is to rabbits like me.  She didn't know that one of my life missions is to receive Easter Chocolates, but I am excited to have completed a life mission.  I gave her a big hug and said thanks.

A night out in the cool spring air sounded like fun.  So I packed my host into the car, and we went for a drive.  I wanted to find some cool city lights, but my host didn't want to wander too far from home.  We didn't find much.



I really liked the trees with streetlights shining on them.  I just love the way they glow!  So many trees around here have flowers on them right now.



This was my favorite tree so far.  I believe it is a crab apple tree.  Being all lit up at night made it look magical!



Rain is coming tomorrow, so we are going to stay inside and stay warm.

Hi Mum!

Today the weather is beautiful!  Thunderstorms are coming tonight, so we decided to get out and enjoy the sun.

We found a park called Hidden Falls Park in St. Paul.  We took a long walk to look for the Falls.



Even in the forest there was a lot of sunshine!  Hopping in the grass felt good on my bunny feet!



I found a sandstone cliff.  The sandstone is very soft and easy to carve into with a stick or a stone.  Many people have carved names and pictures here.  Someone carved a hole the perfect size for me to sit and relax in.  However, it was a little too sandy for me.



Finally we found Hidden Falls!  The water level was quite low, but it's still very pretty. 



On our way to the river, I stopped to climb a cherry tree.  The flowers smelled so good.



This is the Mississippi River.  The water is too cold to go for a swim, but the sun was warm and watching the boats was fun.  I wanted to hop in a boat and go for a ride.



I made a new friend at the beach.  This Yellow Swallowtail Butterfly was enjoying the sun as much as me.



I am a little nervous about the thunderstorms coming tonight, but here with my friends I should be safe.

Hey Mum!  Come here!  I got a surprise for you!



Greetings from Japan!

Just kidding!

Today I visited a Japanese Garden.  I wasn't the only visitor.  These two Canadian Geese greeted me.  They stopped by as they made their way back to Canada.



I also made friends with some Koi!  I didn't get too close, they were big enough to eat me!



I stopped to smell all the flowers!



This plum tree was my favorite!

It's been so cold and rainy that we've been staying warm and dry at home.  Finally today the sun came out!

We made a trip to Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet!  This is Lake Calhoun.  Right behind my ear you can see the skyscrapers from Minneapolis.



It is still too cold to swim.  Building sand castles on the beach was fun!



This is nearby Lake Harriet.  These two lakes are connected by walking paths and both have paths that go all the way around them.



Our walk around the lake brought us to a Peace Garden.  The Peace Garden is a rock garden, but it has flowers too!



This little waterfall was very peaceful.  It was a great place to relax.

Hi!  I tagged along for a quick trip to Wisconsin.  My host spent the day in the hospital visiting her new niece.  We did get out for a little bit and took a walk down by the St. Croix River.  This is the St. Croix Dam.



We were too busy at the hospital to take more pictures, but I had fun anyway.

My friends and I took a walk to the playground.



My favorite thing was the biggest slide!  It takes lots of hopping to climb up, but the ride down is so fun and fast!



I had lots of fun playing in the sun!
