Yay I'm now a TV! I am very pleased and excited to lead me where my ways. Eebee and Kasper have told me some of her travels!

In the afternoon I helped Mom with the dishes! Since lot has been collected!

Kurt has found its first host! And it's a surprise for him! Let's see if the surprise effect is not missed!

Hello!
My mummy brought me to my first host herself and I met with another TV here.

She is called Panda_Lilo and she will go with my mummy! My host and I accompanied my mummy and Lilo to the main station of Hamburg, they took the train there to go home again. After we said them farewell we had a look at the main station.


We stood at the way across the tracks and had this view over the trains. The yellow-blue one is called "Metronom" and used for local traffic, for example when you like to go from Hamburg to Bremen.

Here the train from Karlsruhe will arrive about 20 minutes late...

I am not sure why all this beer is parked next to the litter, it didn't look as it was empty.

This sign shows everybody that he has arrived at Hamburg main station. There are some other bigger stations in Hamburg where you can arrive with the train, too.



This was the view from the track through the station hall. We then had a look at all the trains going from Hamburg, these are listed on those yellow posters.


Ths train will go to Frankfurt/Main.

Then we walked up the stairs again, every step was decorated with another type of Ritter Sport, a famous chocolate in Germany.

On one side of the station is a hall where you can do shopping all through the week and till late in the night. It is called "Wandelhalle" and it has a very nice clock.


We went back to the tracks...

...and then left the station to take some pictures from the outside.




From there we started our way back home, I am really excited to see more!

Hello!
Today we started for a trip through Hamburg. The weather was dry and sunny and so we decided to go by bike.
This strange building is a swimming pool.

Then we arrived at the Alster, a lake in the centre of Hamburg. It is splitted in two parts, a bigger one called "Aussenalster" and a smaller one called "Binnenalster". First we went around the Aussenalter for some time.





The sun was already going down and so we had very beautiful light.
If you don't want to walk you can explore the Alster with this ships.


We crossed between the parts of the Alster and the trains are also passing there.

We went back over the bridge but this time at the side of the Binnenalster. When you look over it, you have a great view at the town hall (the tower in front) and the St. Nikolai-church (the tower behind).



Here you can see the bridge we had just crossed. It is called "Lombardibrücke".


We proceeded to the Kunsthalle (the Hamburg Gallery of Arts). In front of it you can find a huge spider richt now. It was a bit frightening to stand below.


And you could have a view to the Binnenalster, the place were we went next.

Can you see the bridge in the distance? This is the Lombardibrücke from the other side of the Binnenalster.

Then we made our way to the townhall. On the way we saw this nice arcades.


And the townhall... My host told me that this is almost the only part where you can have a picture of the whole townhall as there are always buildings or trees in between from other places.

We also wanted to go to the harbour and to get there, we had to cross another bridge, a smaller one this time called "Trostbrücke".

On the bridge are two statues, one is St. Ansgar...

...and the other is Adolf III. of Schauenburg, Stormarn and Holstein.

The old St. Nikolai-church is located just few meters from the Trostbrücke. It was destroyed in World War II and kept as a memorial. The pyramid is the entrance to a small museum.



From the church we went on to the Deichstraße (Deichstreet). This is the street where the last traditional houses of Hamburg can be found and the great fire from 1842 started also here.


There are many small restaurants in the street today and one is called "Zum Brandanfang" (The start of fire).


This house is located right next to the restaurant and was used as a storehouse.


From the Deichstrasse we arrived at the Speicherstadt. It is the biggest area of storehouses founded on timber-piles in the world.


If the cars know where to go?

Finally we arrived at the harbour. The white ship is called "Cap San Diego" and you can visit it!

Ths ship is called "Rickmer Rickmers" and it is a museum.

Directly at the harbour are the churches of the nordic sailors. This one is for the sailors from Sweden.


And this one is for the Norwegian sailors.

This is the main church of Hamburg called "St. Michaelis" but everyone in Hamburg just says "Michel".

On our way back home we came through the inner city and they planned somekind of concert there.

After all this going round Hamburg and the fresh air we returned home and had a quiet evening.

Hello!
Today we went to a mediaval market in the north-west of Germany, a place called Rastede.
We need to camp there and here you can see the view from our tent.

Here you can see the big stage on the market, there are lots of different bands playing there.

The people who are camping on the market have to live in taditional tents.


Here you can see one of the smaller stages.

These were all the pictures we took there, somehow we forgot to take more... But we had a great day and a lot of fun.

Today I met some new Toyvoyager called Strawberry Girl, she visited us somehow unexpectedly.

We told her that we will visit the International Postcrossing Meeting in Bielefeld and as she wanted to go with us, she decided to stay with us and continue her travels after the meeting.

Hello!
Today we are going to bake a cake. A very special one, as it is with some liqueur called Amarula und an elefant on the top. I am really curious how we get the elefant on the cake.

First we read the instructions on the back of the package.

We had to weigh some of the ingredients and I took the chance to weigh myself...

First we put the margarine in the bowl.

Then we needed three eggs...


Now we had a look at the content of the package.

And here we have the form for the elefant, we could almost hide below it.

We put it all in the bowl and mixed it to get the dough.

We prepared the form with some baking paper and filled the dough in.


Now we had to bake the cake and afterwards wait until it was cold. Then we took a thread to cut it into two halfs.

We should put the liquer on one of the halfs with a spoon.


Now it was time to prepare the cream.


First we put some of the cream on the lower halb of cake, then added the second half and put the rest of the cream on top.



The cake needed to go to the freezer now for some hours. Afterwards we could put the form on it and make the elefant.




The ready cake tasted to delicious that we completely forgot about taking pictures while eating.

Today a new Toyvoyager arrived! We welcomed him very friendly, this is his first trip and he was a bit excited. His name was NicePeter.




He brought some sweets with him and shared them with us. Also he has a mesage from his Mum.

Hello!
Today we wanted to go to a place at the river Elbe called Wittenbergen. But the weather was always changing and we wasn't sure if we can go.


But then it was decided that we would go! We had to go by underground and bus to get there. Here you can see the plan.

From the bus station we had to walk along an nice forest.


We found ths mark which shows how high the water was at the floods 1962 and 1976.

Just as we arrived at the water a big container ship was passing by.

We walked along the pier and had a great view around. So we decided to have a little break there.






We decided to go down the pier to where the ferry boats make their stops.



After this, we made our way to the beach. Here you can see the pier we have just been to.

Finally we arrived at the lighthouse, it is only a small one but I didn't mind.


We were really tired after all this walking and went home to have a warm tea.

Today we found in the garden some agaric flies. Jenny didn't allow us to touch it as it is toxic to do so.

Today Jenny took us and her bike to make a trip around the lake Alster in the center of Hamburg. Here you can see the lake and us on the bike. The ground was too wet to sit on.


But we could sit on this stone.

It was a bit like sitting on an island.


The sky was really nice to look at.

This was about half way round the Alster, we could sit at the edge of a bridge.

You can also travel the lake by boat and here you can see one of their stops.


When we were almost around, the sun was going down.

It was a really nice evening out.

Hello!
Today I went with my host to the city of Bremen! We arrived at the main station and had a walk from there to the inner city. We crossed the moat and saw a beautiful windmill.

We then arrived at the "Liebfrauen-church". It was built in 1229 and is located next to the town hall.


As you can think, our next step was the townhall.


At this time of the year in Bremen the "Freimarkt" took place, some kind of fair and a small part is also at the square in front of the town hall. So we found this lovely small merry-go-round.

In front of the town hall you can also find the "Roland", a very famous statue. He only wears the gingerbread-heart at Freimarkt-times.

Also at this square is the cathedral of Bremen.

Here you have a vire over the square to the town hall.

From here we walked through the Bötcherstreet. It was built from 1922 until 1931 and is kind of an artwork.

At the end of the Bötcherstreet is the Martini-church.

And we arrived also at the river "Weser".

According to the church, the pier is called "Martini-pier".



On our way back we stopped at the Town Musicians of Bremen. It is a fairytale by the Brothers Grimm.

After doing some business we went to the Weser-stadium.


It is located directly at the river.

On our way back to Hamburg we saw a beautiful rainbow.


After our long day in Bremen we were glad to arrive at home and have some rest.

Happy Helloween!

Hi everyone!

I arrived to my destination in Finland last week but I've been too busy in my new host home that I haven't find time to write.

Here you can see how warm welcome I got:



Niilo loves hugs! He is also new here so I've heard. We can help each other to make this our home (me for a while and for Niilo hopefully for the rest of his life).



I also met the other two dogs Lari (papillon) and Hachiko (chihuahua). I love to play with all these three dogs. It's so much fun!



When I got here it was really hot as you can see from the picture. This week we have had a few thunderstorms. But no worries, I'm okay. I'm a bear and fear nothing!

Well I must go now but next time I'll post more pictures of my new host home and town.
