...here we are again with some beach pics. In the background you can see the open North Sea and on some pics you see the town Bremerhaven on the other side. Bremerhaven was called the last town before you reach NYC in earlier years, cause that´s where you went on board to make it to the USA by ship. We will have some closer pics of Bremerhaven tomorrow (o; Like I mentioned already yesterday we had only a very small time frame for the pics so we did not have that much time to play around, but got a great overview (o;

Hi Mom!
A day late but here are the last pics from the trip we took last Thursday. We visited Blexen. That´s the village where our host grew up. It was really nice there. On the first pics you can see lookout point from the Blexen bank to Bremerhaven. Those pics are followed by the church and last but not least the little harbor with the ferry boat to Bremerhaven and the old train station building. I hope that you enjoyed all pics about my visit here, cause i am leaving soon to my next host in Mönchengladbach (o;

Hi Mum,

I safely arrived in Mönchengladbach - just climbed out the envelope 

Today, I went to the office together with hostmum and hostdad. From there I had a look around to the skyline of Düsseldorf.

Can you see the Old City and the famous Rheintower!?

We went out running this morning!!!

Afterwards I needed a yummy breakfast with Nutella, a famous chocolate hazelnut spread. Do you know it? I LOVE it 

Hey Mum, I met a new buddy. It's BamBam, a dinosaur!!!
He arrived on Tuesday and he will come with us to Ireland.

It was very exciting when he arrived, I was so curious to see him. He was a bit shy first...


But we liked each other from the moment he climbed out the envelope  I'm sure, we'll have a great time together!

Hey, yesterday we went to the gym for hostmum's dancing class. Look at BamBam and me waiting for the girls

today, a new TV arrived. Her name is Viola and she's very cute and tiny.
BamBam and I were quite anxious to meet her 



And then finally she stepped out the envelope - look at this sweetheart:


We will guard her and we are really looking forwards to our time together! 


We are leaving to Ireland on Monday and I assume I won't upload anything more before departure.
But I will definitely announce myself once we're back at the beginning of October.

Hi Mom,

we arrived Dublin late in the evening on Sep 24. Look, that's my place to be for the coming days. BamBam, Viola and myself were dry and warm and had a fantastic view out of our travel-bag 

On our first day we travelled to Blarney, a town near Cork, located in the South of Ireland.
There you can find the famous "Blarney Castle" with his very famous "Blarney Stone"
The Blarney Stone (Irish: Cloch na Blarnan) is a block of bluestone built into the battlements of Blarney Castle, Blarney, about 8 kilometres from Cork. According to legend, kissing the stone endows the kisser with the gift of the gab (great eloquence or skill at flattery). The stone was set into a tower of the castle in 1446. The castle is a popular tourist site in Ireland, attracting visitors from all over the world to kiss the stone and tour the castle and its gardens.

And we walked around a huge lake (Lough Blarney). Viola, BamBam and myself liked the hundreds of waterlilies

Today we went to Mizen Head and saw the Atlantic Ocean!!!

Mizen Head (Irish: Carn Uí Néid), is located at the extremity of a peninsula in the district of Carbery in County Cork, Ireland. It is one of the extreme points of the island of Ireland, noted for its dramatic cliff scenery. One of the main transatlantic shipping routes passes close by to the south, and Mizen Head was, for many seafarers, the first (or last) sight of Europe. The tip of the peninsula is almost an island, cut off by a deep chasm, now spanned by a bridge; this gives access to an old signalling station, a weather station, and a lighthouse. The signalling station, once permanently manned, is now a museum housing displays relating to the site's strategic significance for transatlantic shipping and communications, including the pioneering efforts of Guglielmo Marconi. The "99 steps" which formed part of the original access route have been supplemented by a series of paths and viewing platforms.

I LOVE THE ISLE OF BEARA!!! It's such a beautiful place. I don't have words...
The Beara Peninsula (Irish: Béarra) is a peninsula on the south-west coast of Ireland, bounded between the Kenmare "river" (actually a bay) to the north side and Bantry Bay to the south. It has two mountain ranges running down its centre: the Caha Mountains and the Slieve Miskish Mountains. The northern part of the peninsula from Kenmare to near Ardgroom is in County Kerry, while the rest forms the barony of Bear in County Cork.

Today we went hiking and Geocaching. Found it!!

We went out hiking and found a small path to a stone circle


But first, we had to climb a huuuuuge ladder and you know what!? Tiny little Viola was the first one at the top 


The landscape was absolutely beautiful

Mom, I couldn't believe the story of Dursey Island and its cable car!! I really had to laugh out loud - look:

Dursey Island (Irish: Baoi Bhéarra or Oileán Baoi) lies at the southwestern tip of the Beara Peninsula. It is 6.5 km long and 1.5 km wide. The island is separated from the mainland by a narrow stretch of water called Dursey Sound which has a very strong tidal race, with a reef of rocks in the centre of the channel which is submerged at high tides.
The island is connected to the mainland by Ireland's only cable car, and the only cable car which goes over sea water in Europe! Dursey has no shops, pubs or restaurants. The population is about 6 people.

And you know what - they used the cable car to bring sheep to the island some years ago!
