kitchen, Germany - 9th June 2012

By: Noisy

The boys were gone playing football, so Josie and I decided to cook something yummi for them, because they are very hungry when they will come home.

We made a pasta salad and sausages -easy to make and very yummi :-)

I really think it tasted good.

After eating we snuggled a long time.

primary school, Germany - 12th June 2012

By: Noisy

Today HömpfMömpf and I were allowed to visit a primary school. Each tuesday Noisy is helping some children with their homework.
I looked around in the classroom and found a little teddy sitting there. He told me that the pupil sometimes are very loud and that he's glad when the school is over in the noon at 3:15 pm. But he told me, too, that he has learned a lot of interesting things since he lives in this classroom.
There were posters at the wall showing what to eat in the break, what happens in the nature in June, and much more.

And I looked at the nice pictures and the calender.

farm, Germany - 20th June 2012

By: Noisy

Noisy took 3*Euro, Josie and me to the stable for helping her with the work.

But first she told us about a little guy called Däumling who was been eaten by a cow ---iiiiiiieeeeh---, so we stayed near Noisy's hand.

Noisy was wondering, why there were only a few eggs in the chicken coop and looked where the chicken has lyed the eggs. We found them in the duck coop. All ducks of Noisy were stolen from the fox :-(

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Lina/DSC03451.JPG

the eggs are quite big, nearly as big as I am :-)

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Lina/DSC03453.JPG

We saw Gabriel's rooster and one of his chicken. The chicken has the same colours like me :-)

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Lina/DSC03455.JPGhttps://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Lina/DSC03468.JPG

We went to the cowshed - and stayed near Noisy!

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Lina/DSC03434.JPG

then we looked for the machines...the BIIIIIg machines...

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Lina/DSC03448.JPGhttps://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Lina/DSC03438.JPGhttps://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Lina/DSC03437.JPG
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Lina/DSC03443.JPG

What a hard day! Now we will go to bed and maybe Noisy will tell us the whole story of the Däumling...

sleep well....see you soon.

I saw many other toys there, when I came out of my box. They all seems to be nice. They said welcome to me.

Jyväskylä, Finland - 12th July 2012

By: mmm105

Hello mom!

I was walking outside today. I saw a nice small park.
And there I saw this statue of Uno Cygnaeus (1810-1888).
He is considered the father of the Finnish public school system.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-HiE0djyrP4c/T_8e667zZyI/AAAAAAAAOMY/7tjzaTH75go/s640/027.JPG

And because the boy in the statue is reading, I feel like I want to read something. Kurnau show me the local library building.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-aq07IRmvLbQ/T_8e1YHA9vI/AAAAAAAAOLI/HE_8oeNVrUE/s640/017.JPG

Kurnau helped me and Honeymooners to find a book about sheeps/lambs.
There's so many books!!! :o Even more books are outside the photo.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Ig0OIvjjjQc/T_8gcpp0oZI/AAAAAAAAOTc/p-c_GWezrAw/s640/103.JPG

And yes, we found it!!!  :D

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-soOpk8ooqVM/T_8geeh3t0I/AAAAAAAAOTw/mye1eSpEbZs/s640/105.JPG

There's an art statue in the library building. This one is called "Tiedonpuu" ("A tree of knowledge"). It has made in 1980.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-CAz1olgG1yI/T_8gmOq8uPI/AAAAAAAAOUk/-dvlEbkHDok/s512/117.JPG

And there's also a nice exhibition about the history of Jyväskylä-city, the dolls are showing things about this town's developement.

In 1850's Jyväskylä was a small town with many craftsmen.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-mJFnzdNDHzM/T_8fuUapM3I/AAAAAAAAObE/Z9GTN-B9-T4/s512/065.JPG

In 1900's came first railways, and it helped making connections to the World.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-5zsXzzx05C8/T_8frhqzjLI/AAAAAAAAObw/efVl2vakmJg/s544/059.JPG

In 1910's industrialization grows and became more and more important.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ZhNCg7eXILQ/T_8f8QTSnII/AAAAAAAAOcE/dlc5YL1SYGI/s567/061.JPG

In 1940's Jyväskylä was important supporting hometown during wars.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-RZrOF5uFkRc/T_8fq5gCPUI/AAAAAAAAOcc/YFNMgbjU09Y/s640/058.JPG

In 1970's trafic grows fast, and it was necessary to build bigger and better streets.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-YZFi1WlPNN4/T_8fqFIaW1I/AAAAAAAAOck/GEO3kpp_jT0/s525/055.JPG

In 1980-1990's the activities of free-time got more popularity.
(And by the way, ice hockey is very popular activity in Finland, and Jyväskylä is the current Champion in Finnish ice hockey.)

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-TeW0yJ_FKI0/T_8fpUiq6uI/AAAAAAAAOc0/7SeLnVNMO3A/s502/054.JPG

In 2000's Jyväskylä became a bigger town, because some federations of municipalities has made (smaller cities joined together to became one bigger city).

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-o7iv8d8jWIM/T_8fqw_0Y2I/AAAAAAAAOdI/7f7igeB7wkk/s588/053.JPG

Jyväskylä, Finland - 15th July 2012

By: mmm105

Hi mom!

Today I saw some public art works outside. They are all so unique. :)

This one is called as "Elämän koulu - vastuu, luottamus, luovuus"
In English it might be something like "A school of life - responsibility, trust, creativity"
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-P-qTVGNUurQ/UAMVIcro1wI/AAAAAAAAOig/5TiUWoPWbc4/s640/006.JPG

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-ZxZZ2oKi3Bw/UAMVJgJa0eI/AAAAAAAAOi0/9VpCxpaX4gg/s640/010.JPG

This one is "Karhu" ("A Bear"). The artist's name is Oskari Raja-aho, and the statue has made in the year 1930.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-GU8qyzGwI84/UAMVMqmxfPI/AAAAAAAAOjs/4ww1diJJzjE/s640/017.JPG

Look, we all are riding on the bear!  ;)
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-d1AUl0I-rFc/UAMVWnJFyLI/AAAAAAAAOl0/i6seyKJLVlA/s640/038.JPG

This one is "Keinumieli-Tyhjämieli-Häkkimieli" and the artist is Juhani Petäjäniemi, and it has made in 1989.
The name is difficult to translate into English, but it might be something like "a mind of swing - a mind of emptyness - a mind of cage".
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-jRS4rtbd35I/UAMVOmjmJuI/AAAAAAAAOkA/2ST04BPK0wk/s512/021.JPG

I like this statue. It looks like there's two people flying. :)
The name of the statue is "Elinehto-ajatus-liiketoiminta" and the artist is Heikki Häiväoja, and it has made in 1979.
The translation of the statue's name is "Lifeline-idea-business".
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-MUlDp05gBHs/UAMVULTrYBI/AAAAAAAAOlQ/NexnB2Kk9ko/s640/032.JPG

And there's a statue "Kauppias ja apulainen" ("A Merchant and his assistant). The artist is Pauli Koskinen, and it has made in 1959.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-UwCP447tWGo/UAMVZcCwhII/AAAAAAAAOmk/SEPwXl1FeeQ/s512/046.JPG

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-lF3ekCTUY08/UAMVZ_nLJEI/AAAAAAAAOmw/y84sh4JLR1E/s512/047.JPG

And this one has made the same artist, Pauli Koskinen, in the year 1957. It is art in the outside wall of the building. And it's name is "Reliefi"
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Wl59B3eXJ6I/UAMVbjPlUbI/AAAAAAAAOnM/qNvsh2Zn0yU/s640/053.JPG

After walking a little there started to be dark clouds in the sky, so we turned walking back, and we hoped to arrive 'home' before it's raining...

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-qVAll_bgaW8/UAMVe6EOP_I/AAAAAAAAOoE/jITdL-_cP9M/s640/062.JPG

...But mommy, we didn't managed. It started raining so quickly.
And the  rain, it was HARD, we got totally wet within one minute.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-8VTj_5SQ7zw/UAMVkXmOO-I/AAAAAAAAOp4/g68UEfS6C2I/s640/079.JPG

We run back 'home', and inside it was time to get dry again, aww... :)

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-THHLig8wO2Y/UAMVn0Uk31I/AAAAAAAAOqk/KYWra7kB8v4/s512/088.JPG

What an adventure!!!

Hello!

One more toy arrived here today. This is so great, to have more friends! :)

We looked the envelope, and the stamps on it. Who is coming from South Africa? Wow, so far.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-g7RLpRz-BtM/UAV0NYYd51I/AAAAAAAAOr8/tZRbJt80i6w/s640/003.JPG

"Hello! My name is Phog. I'm from Germany, but I was visiting in South Africa." said this cute dog to us.
We introduced ourselves, too.

Jyväskylä, Finland - 19th July 2012

By: mmm105

Hei! Hello!

Today I went outside to walk and look around this surroundings.
And almost immediately I saw the beautiful nature of Finland,
so many green coloured trees, the fresh air, and so on.
Oh, it's so nice to be here!

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-4kU-3gS_69o/UAkQNf0CVwI/AAAAAAAAOwU/x6IYYCdCsHo/s640/011.JPG

And this is an orthodox church of Jyväskylä.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-cC0ELbtKPxM/UAkQS6yNuYI/AAAAAAAAOxk/nCisFP4MWec/s512/022.JPG

And this is an evankelic lutherian church of Jyväskylä.
The church has buildt in 1929, and the architect was Elsi Borg.
This church has called also "the church of angels".

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-X4jCUbzm6FY/UAkQXii_x1I/AAAAAAAAOy0/O8XhnnX-S3Q/s640/031.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-jY2niA4jbJ4/UAkRF9eq44I/AAAAAAAAO3w/m5Xw63wLzDI/s512/041.JPG

Then I continued my walking, and I found a river named Tourujoki.
This river goes through the city of Jyväskylä. It's about 2 kilometres long river,
and it goes from the lake Palokkajärvi to the lake Jyväsjärvi.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-DRrDJsM1wYA/UAkQk_LrY2I/AAAAAAAAO0s/uX_Z1YUyTWs/s640/051.JPG

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-KIv3yLku_YQ/UAkQtbCtD5I/AAAAAAAAO2M/EjHoOL8U3PU/s640/064.JPG

Here are we all toys: me, Kurnau, Wayne, Totoro, Honeymooners, Hunny, Phog, Kit-Kat, Ronja, BarryO, TobiHH and Druri.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ZDY_aTCuPPE/UAkQs2lSsOI/AAAAAAAAO2I/XwePpnVj8aI/s640/063.JPG
