Travelog for: Jethro

Gaudernbach, Germany - 14th April 2012

By: Jethro

Today we took some time for making a group photo.
There is GustavHH, he told that he has travelled for a long time now. He was in Belgium, Chile and USA . He told a lot of stories.
And there is Bärndt. Bärndt is quite new on the road - just like me...
...and the funny little monkeys Mooky and Kurt.
Barnabas, Noisys new TV is collecting his first travelogs and want to explore the world, and Fanti, the other blue elefant. He  belongs to SuSi89, Noisys daughter.

I don't know who has seen this projekt, but we all found it a funny thing to do.
It is called 30 days - 30 cups.

Here are the first photos...

Gaudernbach, Germany - 27th June 2012

By: Jethro

Today I will start my first travel and I am sooo exited.

It took a long time to find the perfekt travel-box.

This box is smaller than me...
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Jethro/DSC03673.JPG
...this box is to small for me...
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Jethro/DSC03674.JPG
...no...

...noo! I have a lot of luggage to take with me!
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Jethro/DSC03678.JPG

This one is perfect!
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Jethro/DSC03672.JPG

So, than I packed in the box everything I need on my journey, that was really hard work!

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Jethro/DSC03688.JPG

For this I needed some help, it was to heavy for only one elefant!
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69115940/Jethro/DSC03689.JPG

An elefant on tour needs something to eat...

Mummy, Mummy, Mummy!

We arrived! We had a lot of fun during our journey! But that you installed a monitoring camera in the travel box was not so nice  What did you expect what we would do? everything what boys do. Watching magazines, playing cards, taking a nap...  ;)

But finally we arrived at our new hosts. What a salutatory!!! :D

We were welcomed wery warmly (so many "Ws")
But after I unpacked my box hostmum said, I have to pack once more! Tomorrow we´ll go on holidays! That´s crazy! But she didn´t tell us where we will go! It must be a big surpise!

So, now I pack my box again! Thank god there is a shopping trolley, that makes it easier  :D

Take care!

Jethro (and of course Manni and the nameless mammoth)

Berlin, Germany - 4th July 2012

By: Yosemite

Hello Mummy and everybody at home!

I fullfilled the first item on my 100 points to-do-list! I visited a capitol. The german capitol Berlin!

We started our tour through Berlin at the new main station. We decided to make a boat trip. But before we do anything we are thirsty! My fellow Valentino (on the left) and I shared a glass of beer!

We crossed the "Hauptstadt Studio" of ARD, a german television company. There the TV show "Sendung mit der Maus" was broadcasted! A little bit like "home" for me, but only a little bit  :D
Let´s go on by boat!

Finally we reached the Reichstag, famous for it´s dome out of glass. There the german parliament is located. And finally the most popular building: the Brandenburg Gate!

So much to walk for my short legs! Let´s take the underground!

We had a meeting in the main station with Alex_Squirt and his guests! Wow, so much TVs on a bench!

So much impressions for my small head!

Until tomorrow!!!

Yours, Jethro

Mummy, Mummy!

I see blue! ONLY BLUE!!!

We had a date with so much blue elephants!  B) And one of them was my brother Fanti! So great to meet him here! What a surprise! And we also met his host, Blaufant Voltaire, he is a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig blue elephant! Not only big, but also a very wise guy!

He talked about his life, his experiences and about elephantastic philosophy (not easy to pronounce).

In his wisdom he leaded us right to the glass with beer. We built a living tower and I was at the top  :D
But the others should get something, too! So we shared the beer.

The beer made us courageous! We tried do build a pyramid out of elephants. And it worked!

Even more! We managed it to build a pyramid out of 6 living, blue elephants!!!

Ant I took part! It was no life mission, but also a lot of fun  B)

Mummy, TV life is great!

Another point in my list fulfilled!

Which? Just take a look at my photos! :cyclops:

I explored the Castle Wartburg in Eisenach, Thuringia. I felt like in the 12th century when I knocked at the door. I listened, but no answer. So I tried to open the door. It was open! I took it as an invitation to come in. I walked across the inner ward and looked at the buildings. Finally I reached the tower and climbed up. I fulfilled mission 39!!!

But that was not enough!

We also visited Castle Sanssouci near Berlin, took a photo in front of the Saint Basilius Cathedral in Moscow and near the Sydney Opera house.

At least I had to do one more important thing: Take a picture of the Eiffel Tower!

Fanti, what do you say now???

Yours, Jethro  :D

Hello Mummy and all at home!

Today is ugly weather and we didn´t know what to do. So Bierle, a resident plushy asked me if I wanted to do some sports with him.

My first thought was to play soccer, but Bierle said he will give me a Yoga lesson. OK, we´ll try!

First you have to meditate. We sat down in the tailor seat. Then go into the cobra or Bujangasana.
Slowly into the fish, also called Matsyasana. Here you have to breath deeply.
The asana of the cat is funny, but not because you are allowed to purr  :)
In the dog (Adhomukha Shvanasana) you have to put your push your bottom to the top, that was not so easy as it seems!

The last asana I liked most, the relaxing  :D
Now I feel fully calmed  B) and send you an ommmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Coburg, Germany - 22nd July 2012

By: Yosemite

Hello Mummy and everybody at home!

This is me, Jethro speaking! Do you remember me? I was very busy the last few days and hostmum, too!

But step by step...

I accompanied hostmum to her work, she works in an retirement home. Great, that was one of my dreams! Bit what I didn´t have in my dream was the time I had to stand up! EARLY I swear! Look at the watch! It was 5:30 am when we were at the station. And so another dream came true: going by train!
What a wonderful landscape outside, but I saw only my imaginary bed!!!! B)
After we arrived at hostmums work I assisted her in the office, important job!!!
Finally time for a break! I invited my new associates for a Nutella scone  :p
After that I had a chat with the "old rabbit", who lives in the retirement home. Then I was invited to gamble with the seniors. Cool, we had a lot of fun on sunday morning!

A nice old lady thought I could need some yoghurt and we shared it  ;) This was my day with the seniors  :D

Yeah, Fanti, have you ever been in a retirement home??? :p

Love you, Jethro

Coburg, Germany - 26th July 2012

By: Yosemite

Hello Mummy!

Today we made a trip to Coburg! A nice city near by Lichtenfels with a lot of interesting buildings and a lot of history.
We started at the market place and hostmum explained, that Coburg was a residence city of the dukes of Sachsen-Coburg until 1918.
Even in the manholes you find the face of the "Coburger Mohr". It is the emblem of the city.
So much culture! We need something to eat! Hostmum oreder a chocolate muffin and a coffee. Ooooooooooops, she was to slowly! We TVs finished, hostmum got the water  :D

She leaded me to a specially store. We both love Tattoos, you know! And I took a look in a Tattoo- and Piercing Store. Maybe I´ll get one once. Do you already have one, Fanti???

But that wasn´t all for today! I also met 3 celebrities! I couldn´t touch them, they were well protected behind glass... But I saw them!

THE blue elephant, THE mouse and Benjamin Blümchen!

:p

Piercing Studio, Germany - 28th July 2012

By: Yosemite

Hello Mummy!

I am very proud! Because I was very brave today! You know that one of my 100 points of my To-Do-List is to get a piercing. And I got it today!

I went to the Piercing Store and looked at the differtent types of jewelry. Hmmm, I had to decide where the piercing should be. I tried the different possibilities. The trunk? Very stylish, but not very practical... The lips? Very nice, but I think I will not be able to eat for a few days. NO CHANCE!!!
So I decided to get the piercing in my ear. It is really big enough  ;)
The only thing I saw from the piercing process was Baerle with a big hammer, then it got dark...
When I woke up I saw Baerle with a big pair of tongs.
The ring was already in my ear!!!
Baerle put the ball i to close the ring. READY!!! Now I have to cool the scarf. BUT MUMMY, IT DOESN´T HURT (oouuuuuuuuuuuuch)

Sinsheim, Germany - 12th August 2012

By: Yosemite

Hello Mummy!

Last weekend we spent in south of Germany. On our way we passed the Fürstenlager near Bensheim in Hesse! It is a nice park with big trees and pretty flowers. So much blues ones!

Our next station was the  technical museum in Sinsheim. There are exposed a lot of interesting things: old cars, fast planes, the blue flame, a rocket car and even a sewing machine. Bad memories...
The little blue Goggo limousine was a car for a family with 3 kids! Unbelievable, it is much smaller than a van!

Yipieeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhh, I was in a museum  :D

Angelbachtal, Germany - 12th August 2012

By: Yosemite

In the afternoon we went to Angelbachtal, where a medieval market tooks place. There I looked at armours and watched a munk knitting a chain armour. Wow, this takes a lot of time!

And then I had my highlight of the day: I met a real celebrity! It was the TV-TV! What a great feeling to stand beneath a real TV-star! But we also met a few other TVs! We had so much fun on the market and everybody asked us what´s on with us ;) So we told them how great it is to be a toyvoyager  B)

At the end of the day we watched the knights tournament.

What a day!!!

Looooooooooooooove you all at home

Staffelberg near Lichtenfels, Germany - 26th August 2012

By: Yosemite

Hey Mummy!

Today we made a HIKING TOUR ON TOP OF STAFFELBERG! Yeah, this are two more of my lifemissions  :p

But step by step:
Hostmum invited us to an adventure trip to the Staffelberg. It is a huge mountain near Lichtenfels. We started to climb. It was a narrow and windy way... :o
But soon we reached our first target. We rested and had a yummie snack in the tavern.
Then I did what a blue elephant has to do: I climbed a new route in the rocks. And because I am very brave, I did it free solo, it means without any safety equipment.  B)
I was a hard job, but I used my trunk as an auxiliary device.  :D

And as I reached the top I heard someone behind me. It was the cute Baerle who wants to find a new route, too! I helped him the last few centimeters and named the new trail: Bears trunk  :D
