Sue brought a friend of hers to Camberwell today to have a look in an antiques centre - we are having a cuppa while we wait!

Today we are at the local shopping centre printing photos!!

Followed by a refreshing chai!!

Hi Mum,

We have had a busy day! Lots of queuing and waiting and standing in line and now we are off the plane and in New Zealand - it is dark outside so we haven't seen anything yet but tomorrow we will!! So we are having an early night

and are ready to hit the road in the morning!

Hi Mum,

We have arrived in Rotorua and are having a ride on the gondola to see the view of the city and Lake Rotorua




getting higher! 
We have just watched some people on a bungy swing - they travelled at 150km per hour when the swing first started!! 

At the top we found a jelly bean shop

Here is a luge sled made from jelly beans!

Hundreds and hundreds of jelly beans!!

Hi Mum,

We are now going for a walk in the park near the city



this pool is full of hot mineral water we could see it bubbling away - there is always steam from these pools, but there is more today because it is a cold day

down there is boiling mud!! 

Wonder of that is good for my face? 

this one is quiet but smells like rotten eggs!! 

we have to be careful where we walk here!!

Hi Mum

We are now down by Lake Rotorua at a place called Ohinemutu to look at the amazing buildings and see the steam vents - they are all over the place here - you can hear the water bubbling and boiling under the road! Some people cook their food in the steam vents here!

Today we are going fore a walk in the Redwood Forest and are following the red arrows


we found this beautiful stream on our way - there was steam coming off it and just a slight sulphur smell - the colour was beautiful and it was so clear

I am at Fergusons Park in Tauranga looking over the water to Mount Maunganui.

Hi Mum,

We had a quick look at Ferguson Park today - it is near where Sue is staying and here there is 20 acres of parkland with the harbour on two sides...there is lots of room for all kinds of sports and room for people and dogs to play!
