By: Susie's
Man, we were busy yesterday!
First Thing in the morning we went to work with host mum. Where we helped her to answer some phone calls, write some emails and sort a bunch of papers (in between we got to have a nice Snack ). From there we drove to her Sisters house and played with Baby nephew for quite a while.
The evening we spent and a friends house. We made a Dessert (Pudding with Juice and Mandarins) and then wachted the soccer Champions league final game.
That was quite a day.

Our plans for today got ruined by the weather.
Instead of going to the Skyscraper Festival in downtown Frankfurt we spent a few hours at a shopping mall. After we where done with Shopping the three of us (two TV's and a hostmum) had some suuuuuuuushi. Very yummy.
And how was your Weekend mum?
Sending you hugs and kisses

Frankfurt, Germany - 29th May 2013
By: Susie's
Hello my dear Mommy,
on wednesday morning we drove to the Airport in Frankfurt (it's called Fraport) to meet a friend of hostmum who arrived that day.
We had a bit time left so Susie's showed us arround. There is the check in area with numerous Counters, a small Shopping area, a Train Station that connects Terminal 1 and 2, a Play area for children and what not.
So much to see....

On thursday was a public Holiday in Germany (Fronleichnam).
And since the sun was shining for once, hostmum took us for a walk in her hometown. We got to see lots of half-timbered houses. Very nice place.

Host's home town, Germany - 7th June 2013
By: Susie's
Hey mum,
you surely know about all the high water and floods here in Germany...
There's some of it in host mums home town too.
But it's not too bad.The Peak is way over (was last Weekend) Just some Madows, a parking-lot and a playground got flooded. But luckily no one got hurt around here.
Do you see the very high trees behind me? That is where the water of the river Main usually is (even a bit below that).
Bye mom. Love you

Bad Homburg, Germany - 7th June 2013
By: Susie's
Guten Abend Mom,
Hostmum takes every Chance she gets to take us outside.
Last friday for example we spent the evening in the park by the Castle of Bad Homburg. "Friedrichsburg" – Friedrich's castle – was designed by Paul Andrich, and was the first neo-Baroque residence to be built – from 1680 onwards – after the Thirty Years' war. The white tower that is the landmark of Bad Homburg.
To our pleasant surprise we found ot that there is Sculpture Exhibition at the park. Which was very nice.
I miss you mum.
PS On the way to the park we came by a huge Church, which has four bell towers....

Hanau, Germany - 12th June 2013
By: Susie's
Hey Mom,
wednesday a week ago hostmum took us to the Theater in the town of Hanau. The fairytale Festival takes place every year to honor the Brothers Grimm who were Born in Hanau. We got to see "Tischlein deck dich" which could be translated as "The wishing table" or so.
To our surprise it was more a Musical with singing and dancing. They even preformed the Gangnam style.
That was so much fun.
The Theater was in a big tent which is open on the sides. So it was kinda like Open air.
Ha! I fulfilled I Life Missions! Yeah!

Bensheim, Germany - 16th June 2013
By: Susie's
Dear Mom,
Sunday a week ago we drove to the small town of Bensheim to visit the so called Fürstenlager. It was built in 1790 when earl Ludwig X. decided to have his summer residence there. The buildings of the Fürstenlager are located in a narrow valley with steep hills on each side. Of course we had to climb those hills and saw some vineyards and a wild living animal up there. The view was really great.
In the late afternoon we hopped in car to drive back home. But after just a few minutes we saw a sign to the castle of Auerbach. So we choose to drive by real quick to take a look at it. Or so we thought. Cause we had to drive up a steep mountain on a very narrow road for about 15 Minutes to get to the castle.
Once there we found out that it is “just” a ruin. But a very huge one. There are lots and lots of stairs to climb and we got higher and higher. But it was well worth it. The all-around view was just breathtaking. And then we noticed that there is even a tower with a viewing platform. We went upstairs but hostmum stayed by the door and just took a peek outside and that ran back downstairs. I guess she’s afraid of highness.
What a great day with great views.
Love ya mom

Offenbach, Germany - 18th June 2013
By: Susie's
Like two weeks ago there was a heatwave for a few days so we took the Chance and went to the beach. One of those City beaches. This one is right by the river Main in the town of Offenbach. Unfortunately swiming in the river is not not allowed. But there are small pools. But since the water is still to deep for tiny TV's we stayed on the side and had cold Drinks instead.
