Travelog for: Lorca

My first post!  This is exciting. 

Today Mummy and me went out in the garden and she took some pictures of me.  In one of them I'm resting in the shade of the Bonzai Tree, and in the other I'm enjoying the sunshine amongst the flowers. 

Then Mummy and me went back inside, so she could take a picture of me for my profile picture.  My friend Snoopy saw what was going on and decided to join me while Mummy took pictures. 

I'm looking forward to seeing more places and writing more posts!

Mummy and I were going to go in to town today.  But because Mummy has hurt her shoulder, she can't drive at the minute, so instead we've been having fun at home.

Snoopy and me have been having fun playing today.  Snoopy has a fun cat stand to play on, so we were both playing on that today.  It was fun!

Today Mummy and I went for a walk to see Hadrian's Wall.  It was built more than 1800 years ago!  Mummy said that the Romans built it to keep the Scots out of England.  Apparently they used to fight a lot, so the Romans built a wall that went from one end of England (Newcastle) to the other end (Carlisle).  When it was built it was more than 70 miles long!

We just went to see a small part of the wall, or what's left of it.  Over the years a lot of locals took the bricks from the wall to build their own houses, until it became a National Heritage site. 

It was really cool seeing a part of it.  It's so big!  Can you see me in the second picture?  I'm there - I'm just so small!!

I have some exciting news!  I will be going on my first travel in only a few days.  Not only that - but I already have plans for a second trip!  I'm very excited and can't wait!

I also have a new brother, Hamie.  Mummy rescued him from the toy orphanage today.  We're now waiting for an ID for him, and then he can start his travels as well. 

I can't wait until I start my travels next week!

I was very excited when I woke up this morning - today is the day I start my first trip! 

First I wrote a short 'thank you' note to my host Shilo.


Then I made sure that Hamie hadn't eaten any of the sweets that I had bought Shilo as a gift.


It was then time to say bye to my little brother - I will miss him, but I'm looking forward to exploring and making lots of new friends.  And who knows, maybe he will meet some of the same TVs that I do!


And now... time for me to leave and be on my way to Germany!

Hello Mum.

Today I arrived at Bochum, Germany. Host mum took my envelope into the living room and laid it onto the table. I could hear voices from outside the envelope and was very curious who would there.  Then the envelope was opened and the first thing I could see was the friendly face from snowball. After that I could also see Freddi and Milk Chocolate.









They hugged me to welcome me in Germany.







Then I showed them the Sweets and the Card I brought with me. We decided to share the sweets later.





After that we took a group picture together.



I think I will have a lot of fun together with my new Friends here. I write again the next day, but now I am a little bit tired from my long trip.

Hi Mum.

Today the weather was so good, that Snowball went with us to the Kemnader Lake, to play miniature golf.

The club was is really heavy, but I am strong. So I made it to hit the ball.





I hope the ball will roll into the hole

The different obstacles were funny and it made a lot of fun to play on them.



In the evening we played a game named Talisman. It is a very easy game, because you only have to roll a dice and do what was standing onto the board.





This card shows the others if your character is good or bad



When you have bad luck, your character could turn into a frog. I like these frogs, they look funny. 



I play a priest





Yeah I’ve won the game. I am so happy. 



Now it is time, to go to bed.

Good morning Mum!

Today Snowball went with us to Gelsenkirchen, to visit the Zoom. The Zoom is a giant zoo with a lot of interesting animals.

When we entered the zoo, we had to choose which way to go first. We could choose between the Africa world, the Asian world and the Canadian world. We decided to visit the Asian world first.



Here we saw the camels. Can you see the white one?





These turtles were really cute



Here we are playing in is a small hut, that was built on the water in front of the orangutan compound.







These monkeys could climb very well. It made fun watching them



This is a wonderful old hand truck



We took a break before we went to the African world



This gorilla is sitting in front of the entrance to the African world.



Mum I saw giant cows. They were called watusi cows. Even the baby is bigger than me.





These hedgehogs look a little bit dangerous. They had really long stings



Wow the throat of these giraffe is so long.



These are funny birds, but I don’t know their name.



Here you can see two African huts. Sadly we couldn’t go inside



This is the baboon compound. We could see a lot of baby’s here.



While all the other suricates were sleeping, this one was watching over them





This monkey had a very colorful face



These lemurs were really cool. They were running around on a small island here. I tried to touch them, but they were to fast.



Before we went on to the Canadian world, we took another short break



Now we are entering Alaska





Here you could see an old school bus that was standing around here.



Oh we have to be careful, because of the polar bears





We meet a really friendly bear here and took a photo with him



Wow reindeers, didn’t they help Santa Clause to bring the Christmas presents?



Milk Chocolate and I were playing around in a small wood hut.



It was a wonderful day and we had a lot of fun.

Hello Mum!

Today a package arrived. Shilo brought it to us into the living room. We were very curious who will be inside.
I took a scissor to open it. When the box was opened, we saw a little rabbit. His name is Hoppsi and he is coming from Berlin.









We made a poster to welcome him here in Bochum.







Hoppsi brought a suitcase with him and we were really curious what was inside, so he showed us.



After that Shilo brought an interesting looking plushy ball to us.



We were wondering what it will be, and when Hoppsi touched it….





It opens and we could see a cute little hedgehog





His name is Knöpfchen and soon he will be a TV too.



Now that we were all together, we took a group picture.



After that Snowball took out a game called “rabbit and hedgehog”. Because we were two hedgehogs and one rabbit, she thought it could be fun to play it.



First we had to arrange the game





Knöpfchen was the one who started the game





When it was my turn I gave 28 carrots, so I could go 7 fields



At the moment I am on the third place



Now I had the chance to give away ten carrots



Oh yeah I had won the game.



It made so much fun playing the game.

Hello Mum!

Today we went to friends from my host parents. They also joint Toyvoyagers and we wanted to meet their TVs and watch the Eurovision Song contest together.
We meet Imodra Dragon, her tree kids Ranja, Spikey and Little, Cosy and Zeitgeist.
Here you could see a group picture from us all together.



Before the Song Contest started, we made some flags for all the countries that were participating in the contest.







When we were finished, we all sat down to watch the contest.







Of course I am for the Candidate from the UK



We made our own ranking for the countries. At the moment I think the Swedish candidate was the best.



Look I had my own hot dog, while we watched the contest. It was really yummy



The Swedish candidate won the contest and the candidate from the UK only made the 25th place



It was a funny evening, especially the meeting with the other TVs.

Hi Mum!

Today was very exciting, because we went to the Movie Park in Bottrop. It is a very cool amusement park. 
Here I am in front of the entrance.



From the top of the Ferris wheel you could see the complete park. It is a great view.



Everywhere on the streets we saw cool cars. Some of them were really old and others looked like they came right out of an action movie.









It was so hot today, that we made a short break and bought a slush. It was really tasty.





The best rollercoaster in the park is the “Van Helsings Factory rollercoaster” Everything is dark while you ride on it.



I liked the “Avatar Air glider”. You could lay there and relax while you fly around





From here I had a great view over the Santa Monica Pier



Before we went home, we watched another Show called “Back to the movies”. At this show they played a lot of cool film themes and danced to them.



It was a great day. And Shilo told us, that when the weather is good, we will visit the “Heidepark” in Soltau in two weeks. I hope we could get there.

Good morning Mum!

Oh mum, today was a great day. Shilo took us to Cologne to visit the Chocolate Museum. And inside the museum is a chocolate factory.

First we went into the tropic house. There I found a coffee plant, but it has no fruits at the moment.



Here we could see the different ingredients from chocolate



Then we went into the section with the chocolate factory.
In the Cocoa mill the pre-crushed cocoa kernels were milled and trough the frictional heat the cocoa butter melts and the cocoa mass leaves the mill in a liquid state.
This is a giant mixer. Chocolate essentially consists of cocoa paste, cocoa butter, sugar, milk or cream powder, and flavourings such as vanilla. All components were filled into the mixer and thoroughly blended.  After that the paste was lead to the rolling mill.



The luke-warm chocolate paste is passed into the preheated moulds. The moulds then pass over a vibrating table so that the chocolate paste is evently distributed and any air bubbles can escape. When the chocolate was cooled down this crane took it, so it could be wrapped up. This chocolate was given as a gift for every visitor at the entrance.





This is a giant chocolate fountain. It looks so yummy and I hope I can taste a little bit of this chocolate.



Oh great, host dad was so nice and shared his chocolate with me



Look mum; here you could see how different chocolate sculptures were made out of different shapes.



The best thing in the factory beside the chocolate fountain is that you could design your own chocolate. You could choose which kind of chocolate you want and up to 4 ingredients which came into it. We choose white chocolate with cranberries, almond and crisps.



Here we could see how the self-designed chocolate was made.









After that we needed a little break



Wow this is the in Germany very famous Milka cow



Here we could see how the packaging of some chocolate products changed through the years





I couldn’t imagine how long it will take to eat this huge chocolate ball



On our way back to the factory we saw some old commercials





Great we got our self-made chocolate. It looks really yummy.



It was a wonderful day. We had so much fun and we learned a lot about the history of chocolate and how it was made.

Hey Mum.

Today we bought a lot of strawberries for us. It was a giant bowl.



Hmm they smelled very good



And they tasted even better



After so many strawberries our bellies were so full

Hey Mum,

I am very happy, because today we went to Soltau to visit the Heidepark.
When we stood up in the morning we weren’t sure if the weather would be good, but we were so excited that we started our journey anyway.

After three hours in the car we are finally at the entrance of the park. I am so happy that we are here now and the weather looks good.



First we went on this small Ferris wheel, to have a look over the western land



From so high above I found this cute vultures



Behind me you could see the roller coaster Big Loop. First I was a little bit scared because of the two loops, but then I had a lot of fun riding on it.



After the ride we went on the Panorama tower. From so high above we had a great view over the whole park.









This roller coaster is called Colossos. It is the biggest wood coaster in the world. Host dad wanted to have a ride on it, but we were too scared of the height.





We took a little break on this cool stone turtles in front of the Limit Roller coaster. While we sat here and enjoyed the sun, we were visited by a goose and here kids.





This free-fall tower is called scream. Host dad went on it, but for me it was too high. I went on this free-fall tower called screamie. It is the small brother of scream.





Next to screamie I saw this cool looking tower.



Riding this water slide made a lot of fun.



Now the park is closing and we were driving home. The day was really great, I love amusement parks.

Good Morning Mum.

Today Shilo told me, that I will travel on to my next host the next days. Because of that Snowball had the idea to have a Tea party before I leave. We planned to make a cake for the party.



Before we started to bake the cake, we played around with the scale.













Then it was time for the cake. It was really funny backing it.

Now we could start our original Bochumer Tea party.









It was a great last day here in Bochum together with the other TV’s. And the cake was really tasty.
