Hello mummy!
Today I visited Maria`s work. Now it is the only place I can visit because Maria has changed her workplace and I have to spend much time there with her.
But she told me that on Monday I`ll see a little bit of Kremlin

Moscow, Russia - 5th July 2010

Hello mummy!
Today I was near Kremlin! All photos I took along Mokhovaya Street.
Quote: | Mokhovaya Street is a one-way street in central Moscow, Russia, a part of Moscow's innermost ring road - Central Squares of Moscow. In 1961-1990 it formed part of Karl Marx Avenue. The street runs from the Borovitskaya Square (named after nearby Borovitskaya Tower) in the south past Vozdvizhenka Street, Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street and Manege Square, ending at Tverskaya Street in the north.
Traffic on Mokhovaya follows a northwards counterclockwise pattern as the parallel Manege Street is closed to regular traffic. |
You can see me near the main Moscow library. You need a special pass to enter it
I`ll come back to you soon,
Pippi!

Moscow, Russia - 9th July 2010

Hello mummy!
Today I visited the heart of Moscow - Red Square!
Quote: | Red Square is a city square in Moscow. The square separates the Kremlin, the former royal citadel and currently the official residence of the President of Russia, from a historic merchant quarter known as Kitai-gorod. As major streets of Moscow radiate from here in all directions, being promoted to major highways outside the city, Red Square is often considered the central square of Moscow and all of Russia. |
The main buildings there State Historical Museum (first photo), GUM department store (second one), St. Basil`s Cathedral and Kremlin Towers! I love Red Square very much!

Yaroslavl`, Russia - 17th July 2010
By: TaisAfinskaia
Hello mummy!
I visited one more Russian city:
Quote: | Yaroslavl is a city in Russia, the administrative center of Yaroslavl Oblast, located 250 kilometers (155 mi) north-east of Moscow. The historical part of the city, a World Heritage Site, is located at the confluence of the Volga and the Kotorosl Rivers. |
We traveled there by car - 4,5 hours.
At second photo you can see me with St. John the Baptist Church (dating from the 1680s, is the acme of traditional Russian architecture).
And the third one is The Assumption Cathedral (originally built in stone in the early 1210s, was rebuilt in its current form in 2010 - it was blown up according to Stalin`s order! )
