Hi My name is Pipari! I am my Mum's first Toyvoyager, so she is sad to see me go - but glad that I am getting to see so many different places! I hope that someone wants to host me - I can't wait to get started on my travelling!

I'm updating from a very dark place...I'm on my way to shirleycr in Costa Rica, and it's taking such a long time! Hopefully I will arrive soon, this is certainly a very bumpy ride!

Finally, I arrived in Costa Rica! Just in time, since we're going out for the weekend, so I'm in a hurry and can't post more now.

Esparza, Puntarenas, Costa Rica - 9th February 2008
By: deleted_member
Uff
After one and a half hours of driving around the mountains we (Mimi, Oscar Jaguar, shirleycr, and I) arrived to Esparza! A town in the province of Puntarenas, in the Pacific coast.
We stayed in our host's farm for the weekend, it was a lot of fun!
The farm is called "Amapola", wich means Poppy
We stayed in a cozy cabin there, I was so excited!
The first thing I did, of course, was to relax in the hammock and enjoy of the view (there was enough space in the hammock for all of us).
It's really a lovely view!
And here's the mountains from the cabbin:
I explored a little more, and realized this place has many plants... my favorite were the small cypress tree (I was told these are Christmas trees in Costa Rica), and this cute flower!
After that, I decided to join the rest of the group, and we explored and play all together for the rest of the weekend!

Esparza, Puntarenas, Costa Rica - 10th February 2008

I woke up really early from the excitement. I was looking all around for the different things I didn't know, and I saw this oxcart, how awesome, I had to climb there! Too bad it didn't have ox, and it was too big for me anyway...
But being up there, I had a better view of the ranch, and found the ideal cart for me! I went for a ride, and to bring some corn for the breakfast :-)
Then, I brought the corn to the pilón, Shirley had exlained to us last night that this was used to ground different things, like coffee and corn... so that's what I did! I wanted to help with the breakfast, but never imagined this would be SO tiring
The good thing is, when I was getting too tired, Mimi got up and finished the breakfast from me. She's very nice, a small mouse from German who came here a couple of weeks before I did.
There's also Oscar Jaguar, he actually lives here in Costa Rica, but is preparing to go away anyway soon. He's been really helpful because he knows the place better than us.
While Mimi finished our breakfast, we went to a near tree, and had a boy's talk
After we ate, we all sat in a comfy leather chair with cool draws about Costa Rica, it's so sunny and warm in here!
Then we saw some funny mushrooms, and played there!
It was a good day!

This was our last day in the farm, we did so many things! It's a shame to leave, but we were promised to visit more exciting places soon
First, I saw Oscar was climbing into a palm, and I wanted to try too! It was my first time doing it, so he helped me a little, but I finally made it!
Poor Mimi didn't make it so far, but she's smaller, so I think she did a good job!
After that, we saw some local rooster, and decided to play with him!
But he was way bigger than he looked from the distance! That was scary, but we were okay and Shirley rescued us in the end.
Then, we met a friend who would be less dangerous... he's called Toady, but wasn't very talkative...
The day was even better than yesterday! So blue and bright, so we all player and ran all over the place all morning!
By the afternoon, we were really tired, but we found a great spot to rest and to watch birds, squirrels, and other animals.
We saw a bird sitting on her eggs, how nice!
We are all such great friends now!
I'm going to miss Amapola... bye bye farm! bye bye cabin!
The good thing is we went to the center of Esparza to have lunch, before to returning to what would be my house for the next weeks. Shirley told us, every town and city in here have a Catholic church and a park in the center. This one was very cute
