Hello Mum, Hello Dad,

We woke up in the Time Machine. What date would it be?



We were lucky, because we were back in the middle of September – it was the 15th of September – and again one of us had his birthday – it was TobiHH!

We sang a song for him and wished him luck and happiness.



Murph had a nice surprise for TobiHH. He invited him to come to Lower-Saxony with him.
So we had to say goodbye to Murph, TobiHH and Nathalie.

Hello Mum, Hello Dad,

Today we took a walk around Sülfeld. The clouds looked dark, but there was no rain.



In the other direction the sky looked nicer.



What a nice place to sit in the sunshine.





There was a little river.





I was not allowed to eat these berries.



We found beautiful flowers!

Hello Mum,  Hello Dad,

We went to the Zoo of Hamburg – called Hagenbecks Tierpark. We started with really big animals – the elephants.



Then we met a family of baboons.



Can you see the big animals behind me – bears!



Behind me there is the old entrance – it is so beautiful. The Zoo grew, and now it is inside the Zoo.



There were nice gardens with lakes in the Zoo.



I liked it here, because there were not only foreign animals, but although cows and other domestic animals.



The newest part of the Zoo is called Arctic Sea. We started with the penguins.



Do you know this animal? It is a walrus. There were 5 living in this basin.





This was great – we could see them in the water.





I loved it – and didn’t want to leave these great animals.







After one hour I accepted to leave. Outside there were funny little animals, I don’t know the English name, but we found the Latin one: Dolichotis patagonum.





We came to very high animals, the giraffes.



It was a great day here!

Hello Mum, hello Dad,

Because I belong to the family I love mushrooms. Unfortunately RikeH is not very good in finding mushrooms in the forest. So today we searched it in the garden. Look – I found some in a good size for me.



Next to it there were black mushrooms – maybe they were the same mushrooms?



Next to an old tree stump I found more mushrooms.



These small ones were beautiful!



These were the last mushrooms we found – I loved sitting between it!

Hello Mum,  Hello Dad,

We went to a small town called Bad Oldesloe. There was a nice water wheel. Unfortunately it didn’t move.



But I learnt a lot about it on this sign. It was a Salinenrad!





Then we went to the church.



It was open so we visited the church.



Nice!





There flew a beautiful river through the town.





Will the water ever be that high?



I loved these old houses.



And I would love to send you these roses.



Behind me you can see the town hall.



And another beautiful building.

Hello Mum, Hello Dad,

Today we explored Sülfeld. On this sign I learnt something about an old canal here.



Normally you can see water here.



I liked this tree with the red berries.



Then I met other animals. They seemed to have a nice life here.



AND I found a new mushroom!





It was really tall – do you know its name?



There is a small kind of park in Sülfeld.



There was a beautiful lake in the park.





A lake? Time for my life mission! It was not easy to find a plant to sit on, but we managed it!





Later we found this beautiful flower.



Behind me you can see the old school.



Maybe I will be mayor when I am older? And you can see the emblem of Sülfeld on this sign.



This stone was created when the church had its 800th birthday.



This is the church.



And this is the old pharmacy.



At home we played in the garden and found another plant with red berries – well maybe it is the same kind of plant – I am not a gardener.



But I know that these are different flowers.



Look we found a lot of chestnuts during our walk. It seems to me that it is autumn now.

Hello Mum, hello Dad,

We went to a nice outdoor museum today. It is called Freilichtmuseum Molfsee. You can see many old buildings here – we started with this nice mill.



This was inside one of the buildings – it was so dark – and I look like a ghost...



This was the living room.



Look – what a big barn.



Some animals were living here – I loved the big pig.



Another beautiful house.



We went inside.





There were two lakes in the museum. I sat next to the first lake, of course.





This is a very famous building of the museum because of the entrance.



Next to this houses were beautiful flowers.



And inside the yard of one big house was a big tree.



The old pharmacy was one of the most interesting places here.









This was a part of an old dairy farm.



What a wonderful museum – and just more to see.

And next to this house I found a great place next to the second lake. Grass is a plant, too, I hope.





Behind me you see one of the smallest houses.



And I liked this mill with the water wheel.





It was a long day in the museum – fortunately we found this great place at the end!

Hello Mum, hello Dad,

Today we searched mushrooms! And I found some.







Then we had a long way without mushrooms – so I decided to ask some natives here. Hello!



This cow was friendly and told me where good places for mushrooms were.



Look – a small calf with its mum.



This one was a little shy.



Now I knew where the mushrooms were – look – so many nice mushrooms!



But maybe they were the same as in the garden...



What about these?





I was really proud to find mushrooms with such a beautiful color!





And this mushroom looked dangerous! It is a poisonous mushroom?





I liked the shape of these mushrooms!





Well – what a wonderful walk. We found a lot of mushrooms!

And at home I found even more!

Many greetings from sunny Madeira. This is our holiday house.



In front of it there is this nice small palm tree.



And there are more wonderful flowers and plants in the garden.





And this is the best place of the house. Can you see the Cruise Ship behind me?

Hello Mum, Hello Dad,

Today we walked through a part of Funchal called Lido. There seems to be a lot of wind over the years. Look at this palm tree.



And I liked this big rock in the ocean.



Then we went into a nice garden with beautiful and big flowers.





This is a dragon tree - this is funny, because our holiday house is called Villa Dragoeiro – that’s the Portuguese name for it.

As you can see on the photo, we visited the botanical Garden of Funchal today.



What a wonderful view!



Of course I found beautiful flowers here.



And a kind of lake – well – maybe it was not a lake – but I sat on a plant next to it!



This was a lake – with a waterfall!



Do you know these flowers?



Well – I already told you that I liked this view!



Maybe we should plant something like this on our balcony?





Then I found a delicious fruit…



… and a big cabbage.



Maybe we should buy a big garden and create something like this?





I had a great time in this garden!

Hello Mum and Dad,

It was time to see more from the Island – and we decided to drive to the Eastern Part of Madeira. On our way we stopped at a nice lookout and had this view.



Later we wanted to hike – but just before our arrival a big rain started. These paths didn’t look great so we decided to hang around and maybe come back next week.  But we were happy – many other hikers started earlier and really got soaked!

I loved the small men out of stone here.



The view from the other side of the parking lot was nice, too.



Well – we started our trip back home and stopped at another great viewpoint. It was only 10 minutes after the other photo – and look at the sky!



What a wonderful place!

Hi Mum and Dad,

We drove to the Western Part of the Island and passed a high plateau.



Unfortunately the weather wasn’t that good, because we drove through the clouds…



Then we reached the town called Porto Moniz. The weather looked much nicer here.



This was funny – a natural swimming pool in the rocks.



The ocean looked wild here.





We went nearer to the big rock in the ocean. It was amazing.



Later we drove to the most Western Point of Madeira. There is a beautiful small lighthouse.



We had a great view over the high cliffs there.



Madeira is a wonderful place.



Our last stop was next to a small harbor.

Hello Mum, hello Dad,

NiliHH, Tommi, SunnyHH and I visited the Fort Glory today.



Some cowboys said hello to us.



I found a great place.





I saw something interesting – so we all watched over the fence.



And that was what I saw – a big pirate ship.



I jumped onto the ship and talked to these exciting men.



Maybe I will become a pirate one day!

I went to a nice place called Pico dos Barcelos. From there I had great views over Funchal.



What a beautiful big flower!



Somewhere there behind me is our holiday house.



Then we drove into the mountains and stopped at a point called Eira do Serrado.



What a wonderful place!
