Uppsala, Home, Sweden - 29th August 2012
By: Fisi
Hey Mum,
As we finally finished the tile wall in the kitchen, we decided to celebrate and bake a bread. I had of course no idea how to, Sheela knew only muffins and Fisi had no clue either. We choose a swiss bread, a "Bärner Ankezüpfe". In the end it turned out ok and tasted nice. We miss Klöver a bit, but she is now safely with you. Greet her from all of us! Have a good evening,

Sommarstuga, Söderö, Sweden - 2nd September 2012
By: Fisi
Hoi Mami,
The weekend was great! It rained the hole friday and saturday without a single stop. So we renovated more in the kitchen, sat around and read books. On saturday night we drove out to the summerhouse in the hope that it will be okay weather on sunday. At midnight we saw a very bright fullmoon in a colorful sky, absolutely beautiful and it wasn´t raining! Sunday morning was still a bit sad, Sheela and me sat on the bench and watched out on the meadow. But even the animals stayed home.
Then we went to pick mushrooms. Hostmum hast more than a kilo "trattkantareller", A kind of a cantarell which tastes very nice. Sheela and me just picked random mushrooms and after we sat at the table and tried to figure out what we picked. Wasn´t that easy.
The big moment came! I landed in a plasticbag and went to the beehives. Then I helped hostmum and dad to steal the honey from the bees. They were really kind and friendly, but the bag was needed because bees do not like hair or fur and try to sting it. I didnt wanted to be stung and also not to kill bees. After that we began to make honey, it was interesting and smelled sooo nice
I wish I could have jumped in the pot.
We were home very late and I slept deep and long. No we go to the library. Have a good start in the new week mum
Love

Summerhouse, Sweden - 9th September 2012
By: Fisi
Hi Mommy,
It was a lazy week. A lot of rain, wind and cold. Like the summer wanted to make clear that it is gone now.
Today we met a lot of funny and goodlooking insects and a frog. The frog was really cute and friendly. As far as frogs can be friendly.
After hanging out in the garden and checking on the bees we went to the forest to pick mushrooms.
When we came back we found tracks outside the garden. So we followed them and found very fresh eeeehm moose shit. But no moose We relaxed a bit in the garden and drove home.
And on the way home, we saw it! A moose! I couldnt go out of the car and hostmum had the big tele on the cam, so I'm not on the picture. But I want you to see it It was an impressive one, even the antlers were quite small. I have seen a mooooose *sing*
So, we are all very tired and go to bed soon. I hope, I will be able to show you a bit more next week.
Schlaf gut Mama
Kisses

Sommarstuga, Söderö, Sweden - 16th September 2012
By: Fisi
Hi Mum
Finally we made it. It was a short week with a lot of work. I had to paint wrap gifts, clean the kitchen, bring supplies to the summerhouse (on the way back we have seen a lappuggla, a wonderful bird) help to make plans about the dinner and so on. Then it began to rain again, i dont know, its very windy and wet all the time. We sometimes can´t go out for several days. However, the weekend was nice. Hostmum was preparing grillspett and dips and salads, so hostdad´s daughter took us around and made handypictures. Unfortunately most of them can´t be watched. Horrible We found some useful ones. The Party was nice, we had little candle bags and lanterns standing everywhere outside and hanging in the trees, the nightsky was bright and together with all the candles it looked like out of a fairytale.
The weather is really stormy at the moment, I hope, it will be better this week as hostmum has for once a lot of time to spend with us. But if we can´t go out
So, now I show you the horrible handypics
We read a "raggarbiltidning", those are this old american cars, we helped cooking and decorating the table and visited the garden.
Now I must rest
Hope to show you more very soon.
Kisses

Gamla Uppsala, Sweden - 19th September 2012
By: Fisi
Hej Mamma
Today we finally went to see the church. As it rained yesterday and today after being outside for a short while we just drove there and lucky as we are, the sun came out. Gamla Uppsala is a place with a very long history, if you believe rumours, even Odin and Thor were there once. We didnt took it so serious and hopped into the viking boat. We are quite small and I guess the viking kids played maybe with swords rather than plushies.
We visited the church and tried to open the oak barrel, there was the wine stored in the old days. Of course, in the middle of the church I couldn´t behave and made a loud "Tüüüü¨daaaa dooo" and turned red while Fisi began to laugh. People must have thought we´re all insane. Outside we visited a rune stone and the gravehills. After we went home again and it began to rain....
Puss och har det så bra

Fisi´s home, Uppsala, Sweden - 23rd September 2012
By: Fisi
Hallo Welt,
It´s still bad weather, I begin to believe that they never have more than some hours of sun in a row. That´s why we stayed home this weekend and worked in the kitchen. Fisi´s mum is coming soon and until then we have to be finished... but when Fisi´s mum is coming, we will hopefully also do some cool stuff as she is also a tourist.
So. This weekend we put up a new wallpaper. It´s a really really cool one, I´m a bit jealous and now I wish to sit in the kitchen all day long But to put it up wasn´t that easy, we had to cut and measure and find points in the picture to put the next row right. I think we did it nicely, no? Next time they plan to take out the floor and put in a nice oak floor. I think it will look stunning and Fisi can´t wait to see the end results.
So, Hostmum is finally charging the little cam and in the afternoon we will go to the library and maybe to town. If it isn´t raining...
And next weekend we will also do something cool she said..but she did not wanted to tell us... (my secret dreams are that we go to an other american car meeting and that I will see the Corvette again) aaah now Fisi is laughing at me and said we will go more than only 50 years back in time...
I show you the wallpaper now. *sigh*
Ta hand om dig!

Uppsala City, Sweden - 26th September 2012
By: Fisi
Hi Mum,
Just a short update today, I´m a bit tired.
Here you can see me and Sheela walk around Uppsala Of course the Domkyrka was exactly then closed for public when we came there.
And we fooled all the ducks. Fisi put us both on the floor to make pics and then aaaaall the ducks came and talked and and and. They wanted food! Cheeky little fellows. Fisi told us that in winter, the hole pond is filled with ducks. Theres only one little hole in the pond which people cut out of the ice and there isn´t a free cm witout ducks.
so, pics now and a god natt

Skansen, Stockholm, Sweden - 29th September 2012
By: Fisi
Me again! Now comes the rest from the weekend
We were in Skansen , an outdoor museum mixed with an animal park. It´s a really great place, easy to reach in Stockholms heart. You have to visit it when you´re once in Stockholm! With me! Please! Almost better than the American Car Show, only almost. Instead of a hot corvette they only had a lame horse coach. Naa fine. I like horses. Everyone like horses. But in the Corvette are much more horses than in one horse *nods* äää what I wanted to say is that Skansen is great, I could feed cute little birds as you have seen, Sheela got kissed by a squirrel, we have seen all big animals which live in Sweden and we ate nice waffle. All in all we had a great weekend. Now I will go and watch Fisi work, her mum comes soon and she has to clean up
Enjoy tour time in almost Switzerland!

Gävle, Sweden - 12th October 2012
By: Fisi
Hej Mum, sorry that we didnt update for so long, but Fisi was really busy, school now and she got a national test on very short notice. In addition to really bad weather since weeks; good that I'm used to that now
So, we spent a day in Gävle, thats maybe 100km in the north of Uppsala. Its famous for its old town, which is really small, but also really cute. Luckily it rained not the hole day. After visiting the town we went to a shopping center, the weather wasn't so great.
On the way home we saw several rainbows, they are so beautiful.
Here some pics...
Kisses

Öregrund and Dannemora, Sweden - 14th October 2012
By: Fisi
Me again.... I was also at the sea! Naa we drive over a little piece of sea all the time when we go to the summerhouse, so i have seen it before. But we never made pictures. Now I have some It may not be the biggest ocean on the world, but it's clearly the seaaaaa *sing*
So äää we were in Öregrund, a little village just close bz the summerhouse. Weather was of course shitty, so not much to do and see. We also visited the first xmas market, but it was more of a craft and farmer market. Everyone bought something. I got some fish
(It was inside, that's also a reason to go if it's raining all the time)
After we visited a iron mine, Dannemora. All the black stone behind me contains iron.
More comes later

Dalarna, Sweden - 28th October 2012
By: Fisi
Hej Mummy,
Last week we have been on a car trip to Dalarna. Car because it rained the hole day. Dalarna is in the east of Sweden and very nice with little hills and so on. Or it would be in sunshine
We have seen the biggest dalahäst in Sweden, around 13m high. On the way home we made a walk into Gysinge, a huge nature reserve with a lot of water and birds and beavers. Weather wasnt great, but the place is. Wonderful.
Now my time in Sweden is over and Im on my way to Finnland. I liked it very much here, despite the bad weather. Fisi and me had a great time, but Im also looking forward to see you somewhen again?
Kisses from Sweden
