Berlin or China ; ), Germany - 29th June 2013
By: Mareikingowicz
The next garden we visited was the Chinese Garden - it was the biggest garden and for me the most impressive. Everything was so well decorated and liked it very much to go there arround. I did a small break in the shadow to refuel some energy, because the walking was a bit exhausting.

Berlin - Christian Garden, Germany - 29th June 2013
By: Mareikingowicz
The Christian Garden was one of the smallest, but the shadow play was sooo beautiful. Can you see this mommy?
In the Gardens of the world you can see a lot of Asian Garden Cultures and so the owners thought about an European Garden too. And so they created the Chrsitian Garden. The letters you can see are words and sentences from the Old and New Testament. It´s a good idea.
After that our way brought us to the Japanese Garden also called as the "Garden of Merging Water". The garden sent out a big silence, because everything was so clean and straight. The initiation was in 2003 and Berlin was supported by the Japanese Embassy for finance the project. Especially the Zen Garden I liked.

Seoul in Berlin, Germany - 29th June 2013
By: Mareikingowicz
Another Asian Garden was the Seouler Garden. Here we could see a typical pavillion and some sculptures too.
The last Asian Garden was the Balinese Garden. The plants need a special climate and so the garden was in a small tropical house. It was so hot mommy you won´t believe it. I began to sweat immediately. Puhhh. But the Balinese houses and the plants were so great. Can you see the big black flower? Isn´t amazing?
At the end of a wonderful sunny day we visited the Oriental Garden. There we saw some fountains and some lemon trees as well as other fruits and vegetables. Yummy. But I couldn´t steal something because it looks so great.
So mommy, as you know I will come to you very soon. I´m not sure yet if we can take some more photos in Berlin. We will see.
My dear mommy it was such a long time away from home and I miss you very much. I can´t await it. I will let you know as soon as I´m on the way.
Kisses to you.
Greetings yours Suomi-Girl

Berlin, Germany - 25th July 2013
By: Mareikingowicz
Hello mommy,
this will be my last update before I´m coming back home.
And so host mommy and I took a boat tour through Berlin. It was very sunny and hot and the photos are great. As I think.
The City Boats tour was a good way to see different parts of Berlin.
I will split the posts so that you have a better overview about my explanations and the photos.
The tour starts at the Berlin Cathedral and you can see the TV Tower, the Cathedral and the Nikolai Quater. The Nikolai Quater is one of the oldest in Berlin and it was refurbished during the 1980. The oldest parts of the church are from the 1230. Isn´t old? WOW!!!
After that we saw a part of the Museum Island with the Pergamon, Bode Museum and the Gallery.

On the next photos you can see and old building used as a restaurant. The name is "Staendige Vertretung".
Then we reached the German Bundestag and the Bundes Kanzleramt where Angela Merkel works.
Furthermore you can see the new Main Station in Berlin (the two photos with the cranes).

Berlin, Germany - 25th July 2013
By: Mareikingowicz
After a while we reached the eastern part of Berlin.
There we saw old houses combined with new and modern elements, we saw the East Side Gallery with the Berlin Wall, a Hostel at the Spree. Isn´t cool? A hostel ship? Funny.
And the big O2 World is used as a concert hall and for many sport events like basketball and ice hockey. Around 17.000 visitors are able to take a seat. BIG!
The bridge is called Oberbaum Bridge and is connecting the east part Friedrichshain and the west part Kreuzberg. In the early history of the city Berlin it was a kind of a city gate where forgeiners have to pay entry fees to coming into Berlin.
The next photos show you the new Media Spree where several TV Channels have the offices.
And at the last photos you can see the Molecule Man. The Sculpture is 30 m high and has 45 tonnes. The three mens symolizing the three Berlin quater Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg and Treptow. They are meeting at this point.
So mommy now the time is coming that I will start my journey back home.
I had a lot of fun in Berlin, but I missed you much and I´m happy to be at home very soon.
Today afternoon I will be on the post office.
Kisses to you and see you soon.
Yours Suomi Girl.

"Hi!" the smiling squirrel says, "I am Orkku Orava. And who are you?"
"I"m Suomi-girl," I say.
"Come out quickly," Orkku says, "Emil and Cherry Lola are waiting for you."

This is another artwork. It looks a bit like a Gaudi bench! The words mean: "Always happy". Yeah, that's me!
