When we came through the gate we could see the county court building again. It is the one with the little tower.

Then we walked to the other gate next to the mainbuilding. Before we walked through it, we took a photo of the view back to the county court, the gate Damianstor and if you take a closer look, you also can spot the tower of the prison between Damianstor and the tree.

Here you see the tower of the church St. Damian and Hugo again. Then we walked into the palace garden again, took a photo of the terrace and some nice flowers and at last a photo with leaves and chestnuts.

Then we walked back to the Belvedere and drove home again.

Schotten, Germany - 9th October 2012

By: fam-united

Since yesterday we are on a farm in Schotten called Oberwaider Hof. I've seen horses, pigs and mushrooms. I had been there with many other toyvoyagers, but there were also many pupils with us. So our host was very busy.

on the road, Germany - 14th October 2012

By: fam-united

Today we drove to Ulm and took some photos on the way. It was a bit difficult to take sharp photos, because it was too dark. The photos by night are from Stuttgart. We've seen the big wheel, but it is also a blurry photo. And you can see the small bridge, that leads you to the Wilhelma.

Here we are close to Geisslingen.

We've seen the Cathedral of Ulm in the far.

On our way home it was getting darker and darker, so there are only a few photos, which are a bit better. Nevertheless it is what we've seen, when we drove and drove and drove.

Here's the blurry photo with the big wheel in Stuttgart. Stuttgart is the main city of Baden-Württemberg.

Bruchsal, Germany - 21st October 2012

By: fam-united

Today is a sad day. We received the news, that a good toyvoyager friend died of cancer. We went to the church St. Peter and prayed for her and her family. So here aren't many words, but only photos.

Then we walked over the graveyard, which is next to the church.

Then we walked back home again. Here we see the backside of the house called Santa Maria.

The graveyard is rather steep, so difficult to walk for older people.

The institute Santa Maria was opened in 1908. At first it was a church-social institution. Since 1981 it became a private school for social pedagogy.

Bad Bergzabern, Germany - 25th October 2012

By: fam-united

I had been allowed to join Petra on her trip with her colleagues. She still thinks, that it is somehow funny, when she takes photos of toyvoyagers - that's what she says. Can you believe it? I can't. Here we are in front of the castle. Bergzabern Schloss is a landmark in the town of Bad Bergzabern, located in the old town centre. Formerly the residence of the Dukes of Pfalz-Zweibrücken, it now houses the administrative functions of the local government of Bad Bergzabern.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8235/8376528849_18d4346921.jpg

We walked a while and then came through this small village with these beautiful half-timbered houses.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8351/8377604518_bfae7c2cda.jpg

We've also visited a shop, but we haven't bought anything.

Stuttgart , Germany - 26th October 2012

By: fam-united

Today some of us were allowed to join Petra and her sister, when they drove to Stuttgart, which is the main town of Baden-Württemberg. They went on a concert, which was the final of a hit show, which a famous German radio station (SWR1) had organized a few weeks before.
Here I stay in front of the Mercedes Benz Arena, but the concert was in a hall called Schleyerhalle.

Ulm, Germany - 1st November 2012

By: fam-united

My host's son started to study in Ulm and so he needs a room, where he can sleep. Because it was so difficult to find a place, my host decided to drive to Ulm and stay there for two nights to help him. She had the car, so it was easier to drive from house to house.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8096/8377003253_904c358376.jpg

We had a nice, but most of the time foggy view to the Ulm Minster - cathedral.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8355/8377003019_8ccd7ea830.jpg

Ulm is a city in the federal German state of Baden-Württemberg, situated on the River Danube. Ulm was founded around 850, is rich in history and traditions as a former Free Imperial City (German: freie Reichsstadt). Today, it is an economic centre due to its varied industries, and it is the seat of a university (University of Ulm, founded in 1967).
