Paris, France - 25th April 2013
By: Aleksandra_Sunny
Hello everybody!
I'm Profen, a very clever, smart and beautiful owl from Paris. I live with my parents, sisters and brothers which I like very much! And, I think, I'm their favourite son because I'm the first person who's joined this site!
I've 2 passions in the life - travelling and sushi!
Yesterday my mummy told me that there is somebody who is ready to invite me... I'm sooooo happy and impatient.. My daddy said that I could go only if I'm not naughty... I'll do my best!!

Paderborn, Germany - 30th April 2013
By: mcdaniels
Dear mummy,
guess what, I'm in Germany!!!
When I crawled out of my envelope I saw a lot of friendly faces. Cause they all welcomed me very warmly I wasn't anxious at all and I think we'll have a lot of fun together. I got to know four TVs: Haribaer and Twixx who are visiting Paderborn and Frederik and Störte who are at home for a short while. I showed them my basket filled with French specialities and for the rest of the day we sat together eating cheese and baguette, drinking wine and talking about Toyvoyager-life.
Best wishes to you, mummy, love you,
yours Profen

Paderborn, Germany - 2nd May 2013
By: mcdaniels
Dear mummy,
today morning we went into hostmum's garden and visited the sheep and their lambs in the pasture. Hostmum said the sheep came originally from the Cameroons.
Then we escorted hostmum to work by bike: 8 kilometres to the old people's home she works as a social worker and 8 kilometres back. We listened to 3 nightingales (why are they called 'nightingales' though they sing in the middle of the day?) and saw that the rape starts blooming.
Unfortunately hostmum sat in her office almost the whole afternoon writing and writing...but Haribaer, Twixx and me were allowed to write something as well. Look what I wrote for you
On the way back we saw some nice black and white lambs. And on the last picture you can see Neuenbeken, hostmum's homevillage that belongs to Paderborn.
Best wishes, mummy,
yours Profen

Dalheim, Germany - 6th May 2013
By: mcdaniels
Dear mummy,
yesterday we drove to a plant and garden day at Dalheim monastery. There were some useful and many nice and funny things you could buy. And lots and lots of owls! Fantastic!
Of course we had some yummy food: potato fritter
And imagine, mum, hostmum brought us three little animals: a bear for Haribaer, an ibex for Twixx (unfortunately there was no goat) and of course an owl for me
On the way back I found some old tree trunks. Very comfortable for owls...
Love you, mummy, yours Profen

All the best to Mother's Day, mummy!!!
Today afternoon we visited a friend of hostmum who has got a big garden with many things to explore:
first Haribaer, Twixx and me tested the swing and the slide. Great!
Before putting to sea with a big boat (of course I was the helmsman) we got to know a strange huge woodworm who was the garden's guardian he said.
And what is a real garden without a birdhouse, big enough for an owl! And of course I met another owl in this garden
Then we got to know Fynn and Bea, the two dogs. They showed us the rabbits nobody is allowed to eat...okay...
One picture shows the tomatoe plants hostmum got for her garden.
In the end the little son of hostmum's friend showed us all his little cars and master rabbit, a nice guy.
All the best, mummy, yours Profen

Altenbeken, Germany - 19th May 2013
By: mcdaniels
Dear mummy,
happy Whitsun! On Whit Sunday we drove to Altenbeken by bike. Altenbeken is a small town at the beginning of the Egge mountains. It was a very sunny day, the sky was so blue and the trees were so green...fantastic!
On the way to Altenbeken Haribaer, Twixx and me took a rest in a field of woodruff.
When we reached Altenbeken we first visited the big viaduct this town is famous for. The viaduct was built up in the middle of the 19th century. Though Altenbeken is a small town it was and still is a railway junction. In commemoration of the old days there is standing an old steam engine in the middle of the town. Of course we had to explore it!
On the way back home we visited some German cows on a hill, river Beke and a small viaduct that belongs to Neuenbeken and then we took a long rest sunbathing on a bench
Love you, mummy,
yours Profen

Paderborn, Germany - 27th May 2013
By: mcdaniels
Dear mummy,
today morning it was very cold and wet outside. But hostmum said: "Let's plant some flowers on our balcony, perhaps it'll stop raining and the sun will shine if we'll do so." So we did.
First Störte, Twixx, Haribaer and me cleaned the flowerpots and filled them with new ground. Then we planted the flowers...and believe it or not, while working on the balcony it stopped raining and became brighter and brighter and the dark clouds disappeared...
All the best,
yours Profen

Paderborn, Germany - 27th May 2013
By: mcdaniels
Dear mummy,
in the afternoon we had a sightseeing-tour through Paderborn city. Paderborn is the twin town of Le Mans.
We drove to Paderborn by bus. First we went into a very nice café: La Petite Galerie with French music
We all ate a big piece of cake and drank a cup of tea, very yummy!
Then Twixx showed Haribaer and me the sights of Paderborn: the cathedral, the 'window of the three hares' ( there are three hares and three ears, but every hare has got two ears...), a peacock that remembers to Saint Liborius who is the patron saint of Paderborn, the town hall, the Neptun fountain, the Abdinghof church (one of many churches in Paderborn) and the river Pader (German's shortest river with lots of springs).
In between times we met a very strange figure...and of course I met another owl
The bus stop was next to the cathedral, so we had a look on it one's more at the end of our tour.
Best wishes, mummy,
yours Profen

Hi mum,
today morning I wrote a postcard to you! Hope you like it
And then we helped hostmum preparing a tree so that the neighbour's cat can't reach the nesting box. Hostmum said 'nothing against cats, but if they kill birds it's going beyond the joke'...
Yours Profen

Bad Lippspringe, Germany - 28th May 2013
By: mcdaniels
And in the afternoon we drove to Bad Lippspringe by bike. It was a very sunny day so we had time to see hostmum walking in ice cold water (it should be healthy...I have some doubts), to visit the ruin of an old castle, to take a rest between some flowers, to visit river Jordan and of course to have an ice cream
