And yet another monument! This is a sculpture of former Queen Wilhelmina. She reigned during the second World War. She is the great-grandmother of King Willem Alexander.

Hi mum!

We had great fun last night! Emjay took us to a singing workshop given by a very talented musician. This is the song Emjay sang.

And now we are jamming ourselves! We even found an interesting looking Mozart piece. Looks old. I think Mozart wrote it himself!

did you miss me? I am still alive and traveling! After visiting Emjay, I went back to sannah and she took me with her to Greece! My fifth European country to visit - mission completed!

I have not been to a beach for quite some time, neither has sannah. So we came to the middle leg (or finger) of Halkidiki - shaped like Poseidon's trident and sticking out into the Aegean Sea. Here is the sea!



But we were not alone, so I kept on watching people and enjoyed the sea from sannah's sun chair.

since sannah and I were traveling with locals, we knew it was best to arrive at the beach very early in the day and stay until lunch to avoid the crowds.

Therefore, we had lunch on the first leg of Halkidiki, in Afytos, right opposite the beach we had been before.

Isn't that a perfect view for lunch?!?

Hi there!

I am again traveling with sannah, first back to the United States, but now we are in Ontario, Canada! Can you be even more precise by just looking at the picture and guessing?



Right, those are the Niagara Falls, all three of them.

And this is a shot of the American Falls and the small Bridal Veil Falls at the right.



sannah took me on a boat tour and all people were dressed in funny looking red ponchos.



The boat took off and we got way closer to the falls.



And then sannah and I both realized that the ponchos were actually needed. Boy, sannah was soaked from the hips down, the poncho just kept her upper half and her purse with me dry.

But looking back again, the trip was still worth it.



The sun luckily made the clothes dry quickly, but this view back certainly is full of memories made.



Niagara Falls was only our first stop on our short trip to Canada.

Hello again!

My adventures in Canada continue! We visited the third largest city of North America (not including Mexico) and the largest of Canada: Toronto!

And this is the most famous landmark of the city, the CN Tower. It was the world's highest building upon its completion in the 1970s.



The white bowl is the Rogers Centre where the ceremonies of the PanAm Games where held at the time. In the picture as well: a yellow school bus and a real Canadian fire truck!



We then took the street car up Spadina Ave towards Chinatown and Kensington Market. But we still had a nice view of the CN Tower from a distance.



We then had a nice stroll through the streets of Toronto. Look, this skyscraper looks like a sail! What a good choice as we were close to the Harbourfront.



The beginning of our walk was also the end: Union Station, including a last look at the omnipresent tower.



I liked Toronto, it is a big city, but very safe!

We made it almost back to the USA, but stayed on the Canadian side of the Detroit River for one last night.

The riverfront of Windsor has a beautiful look upon the skyline of Detroit in the distance.



It was almost sunset when we discovered an old train in the park at the riverfront.



It was preserved as a memory of the historic railroad connecting Toronto with Sarnia or Detroit.

Lots of people like to bike, walk their dogs or go jogging on the riverfront trail. Sunset was getting very close!



Those have only been a few days in Canada, but this picture says it all ...

I am back in town with sannah. The view of Zumbro River has not changed much since I last saw it. Only the building on the opposite river bank is new, sannah told me it is a senior living center.

Hi there!

sannah's husband took me with him on an business trip to Los Angeles! It was sunny and very, very warm during our stay - but it was only the end of February!

Downtown Los Angeles does not look that different from other cities its size. It is made for business, the tourists are elsewhere. Los Angeles is huge with lots of suburbs. According to sannah's husband, highways are always crowded although there are six lanes in one direction. And the air pollution is relatively high ...

But enjoy pictures from sunny California!

I did not make it to the Pacific Ocean while staying in L.A., but to Hollywood!

This is the famous view with the letters of Hollywood Hills in the very background (see, they are there, look at the arrow!).



The area really is crowded with tourists, sannah's husband took an afternoon of from work and joined them.
He walked the Walk of Fame and we found many famous names ...
