Iam Ugrasena, from Bali Indonesia
But, now, iam not being located at Bali

Its a rural area with main job is farmer.
Here is a green rice field there, in Kembangsore. Its green, quite and full with fresh air, and although its always sunny days, but the weather not too hot like in big cities.

I arrived today at my host mom house! :)
My host mom has a travelling toy as well, her name is Cotton Candy! She is a tiger, like me! She haven't travelled yet, but she will soon. But while she doesn't travel, she makes me company.

http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2854/9076940277_da3028539c_z.jpg
Today, the host mom also received a package full of candy, from Germany!

Me and Cotton Candy ate candies until we drop!

http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2809/9076939679_8a3bb5c8af_z.jpg
And then we watched TV!

We haven't done much but the day was really nice! I needed to relax a little bit after my long travel!
I am really enjoying my stay!
Talk to you soon, mom!

Anadia, Portugal - 20th June 2013

Hello mom!
Today, we made cinnamon cookies! It's really simple to make!

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5531/9086840279_8680d16a74_z.jpg
Ingredients:
125 grams of unsalted butter
100 grams of sugar
300 grams of all-purpose flour
1 egg
Cinnamon

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3755/9089058908_98f78311f6_z.jpg
Recipe:
In a boul, mix the butter with the sugar.
Then add the egg and mix well.
Finally, mix the flour.

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7314/9089052772_995531fcdd_z.jpg
The mixture will stick to the hands. That's how it should be.
Make small balls and cover them with cinnamon.

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3710/9086833497_4e080dd879_z.jpg
Put in the oven for about 25 minutes at 180º C (356° F).
After the 25 minutes, take off the oven, let it cool and it's done!

This was the first time that host mom tried to make these cookies, and they turned out really well, they were tasty! :D
These cookies are really good to eat at tea time. I hope you enjoy this recipe, mom.
Talk to you soon!

Love,
Ugrasena

Coimbra, Portugal - 20th June 2013

By: elisarod

Hey mom!
Today, I went to host moms work. She works at an hostel in Coimbra, a beautiful city about 30 minutes from home. At the moment host mom is living in Coimbra, near her work.

http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2825/9335512987_e70f7e531b_z.jpg
The reception

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5476/9335511351_388f96110e_z.jpg
I felt asleep in a bed... See, mom? I slept in a hostel room!

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3755/9338302042_6336f979e2_z.jpg
Then I played the guitar that they have on their living room.

Talk to you soon!
Love,
Ugrasena

Coimbra, Portugal - 25th July 2013

Hey!
Mom host went to the supermarket, and she found this cute postbox on the street:

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7341/9338525866_7bdcd4c0b6_z.jpg

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7296/9338486924_9921421d8d_z.jpg

Cute, right?
In Portugal they have these cute post boxes, but this one we found is no longer 'working', because the post office it belongs is closed now. Lately, they closed lots of post offices, sadly. :(

I hope I find you happy and fine, mom!
Love,
Ugrasena

Coimbra, Portugal - 26th August 2013

Hey mom!
Today we went sightseeing. I even went to a major attraction in Coimbra. Can you guess what attraction?
Well, I will show you later. :D

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3785/9561717407_1f9b116ab4_z.jpg
First, we went to Jardim da Sereia (Translation: Mermaid Garden/Park). It's small park, in the centre of the city, with beautiful decorations. It's near the place where host mom lives.

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7343/9564508602_548a08d7be_z.jpg
I'm not on this picture, but I wanted to show you how beautiful it is!

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5340/9564508506_0aa4a075a9_z.jpg
I even took a picture with this nice gentleman!

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5451/9561717243_8ba20692f5_z.jpg
After we leave the park, and go up one street, we will find the Archs and a statue of the Pope John Paul II.

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5535/9564508330_e1ca3c61af_z.jpg
We will go up this street, but first we will go to another place.

Bye!
Ugrasena

Hey!
We also went to the Botanical Garden. It's a beautiful garden and a really calm place to be and relax.

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7363/9564871836_7164f17b7d_z.jpg

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7371/9562081137_e9195c5b03_z.jpg
So much green! Amazing!

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3777/9562081061_6403cf9724_z.jpg
Me inside the big tree. Can you see me?

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5548/9562080957_56dcbf2e99_z.jpg
There is a fountain in the middle of the garden.

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7372/9562080997_e13f4960fa_z.jpg
Take a better look!

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5539/9564871596_c049712a5c_z.jpg
I took a nap in one of the trees. :o

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3738/9562080813_9ff0e17e74_z.jpg
The 'walk of the lindens'.

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5521/9564871438_fac346e739_z.jpg
And we ended up our visit to the Botanical Garden sitting next to a pond with beautiful gold fishes!

Where did we went next?
You'll find out later, mom! :D

Take care,
Ugrasena
