Travelog for: Lieselotte

Hello world!

I'm a toyvoyager now and I really wannt to experience lots of new things. Which isn't too hard because I spent my life so far on a shelf in my mummy's room. Here I want to tell you about my adventures. 

You can see how I'm writing this travelog entry...



...and reading it over.



I also saw the cat, but I think he wants to eat me.  So, I'll be staying all clear of the cat in the future!

Hey guys!

Today I was helping mummy update her postcard collections on picasa. I had the most important part of taking photos of the postcards and mummy said I did a good job. 

Look, how professional I look all prepared with the camera ready:



It was difficult getting good shots of each card, but in the end I managed fine!











After so much hard work I will go and relax a little. I think I earned that!

Today I went on a "taste adventure"! 

Mummy brought a strange-looking thing back from the kitchen. She said it was a kiwi fruit - a yellow kiwi fruit.



She also said those were very yummy. So I wanted to try it for myself.

Ok, mummy was right. Those are really yummy!  So I ate all of it alone. I was so full I fell right asleep next to the bowl.

Hey guys!

Today mummy showed me around a little.  The weather wasn't the nicest, but at least it was only drizzling and not full-blown raining.

The first stop was at this field full with blue and purple flowers. They look so nice! 



Then we went to the nearest mailbox to drop off some cards. I had the task to push the cards into the mailbox.



Today we sent cards to Canada, Finland, China, Ukraine, Thailand, UK and the Netherlands. 

Next to the mailbox we saw these lovely roses:



So many and sooo pretty! 

Then mummy showed me one of her favourite spots. I liked it there, too.



This is the highest place of the village and therefore you can see so far. It's very quiet up here even though there are two big streets pretty near.

We even saw a crop circle.



The building all the way behind the fields belongs to the water supply companies. Maybe we'll visit it closer some other day.



More growing crops:



Yes, it's a pretty rural area around here.

A few more steps down the path and I stopped to smell the roses.



So many nice roses blooming around here. The ones above are also called "Schwimmbadrosen" (public swimming pool roses) around here because there were many of them on the area of the public swimming pool before modified some years ago. And they smell really nice!

We also saw a nicely painted little transformer substation:





Speaking of nicely painted, we also saw a beautifully decorated wall of the local school.



It says: "Wir gestalten unsere Zukunft." (We shape our future.)

But the main purpose of our walk was to check the bus schedule for tomorrow. Mummy said we'll be going on a trip tomorrow. My first trip! So I made sure we had the time right.



I'm excited about tomorrow. But mummy also said we have to get up very early so I have to go to bed now.

Today we got up early to take the bus to Nienburg (Weser).

Luckily we didn't have to get off in the next town and wait for 1 hour for the next bus as the schedule had told us yesterday. We could just go straight to Nienburg.

It was my first time travelling by bus. 



I saw lots and lots of field going by. Rural area, remember.



We also went by the power station in Landesbergen. Many electrical lines come together here.



It works with natural gas that was found in the area in the 1950s.

In Nienburg we got off at the station to wait for the train to continue our journey.

Here we are in Nienburg waiting for the train to Hanover. Of course it was late which was especially "nice" because of the cold and rainy weather. 

When we finally arrived in Hanover we had already travelled most of the way. Only about 30 minutes by train to go. 

But then something funny happened:

The announcement came that our train would be arriving, but then a big, empty freight train came and stopped directly at the platform:



Luckily we didn't have to board that as it continued its journey after a short stop and our real train arrived.

On the way from Hanover to Hildesheim we could take a lot more pictures because it wasn't as crowded as the other train.

It was my first time on a train (well, second if I want to be totally exact).



I even had my own seat:



Shortly after leaving Hanover we crossed under a bridge for a long time. It's a little scary, but also very exciting.



At first I still saw outskirts of Hanover...



...but the farther we went the more I saw of the countryside again.



Here we went past another freight train.



In the background I could already see buildings of the city center of Hildesheim.



Finally I saw the train station in Hildesheim. Exciting!

Mummy's friends picked us up at the station which was very kind and a comfortable way of travelling.

They all had to talk so much because they hadn't seen each other in about 8 months and this was the first time mummy could travel again and stay overnight after being sick. So I was okay with only listening and admiring the view.

But I was really excited when mummy's friends asked about her visiting toys and she introduced me. 

After that I had to meet the bunny, Lotti, of course.



She is a little crazy, but very, very cute and really tame. And she didn't try to eat me, like the cat did!

Mummy and her friends also played Mario Kart on the Wii.





It was a fun day. After talking a lot more it was suddenly the middle of the night and we all reluctantly went to bed or so I thought. But mummy and her friends stayed up to play a game of Poker before bed. Without me... 

The next day everyone got up really early considering we had gone to bed at 3 a.m.

After breakfast and a little more talking we played another game of Poker. This time I was allowed to play, too.

Look, I even won! 



And then suddenly it was time to say good-bye already.

We went home by train again.

First everything was still very urban.





Then, after we had passed Hanover, it slowly turned rural again outside.



I saw lots of fields and forests:













And we even passed a field full of solar panels:



This time we were picked up by mummy's relatives and could go home by car.

It was a wonderful weekend and a nice adventure. I hope I can go on lots more!

Good morning! *yawn*

Today we had to get up very early. Mummy's aunt picked us up just after 8 a.m. to go to Nienburg.

We went through the wet land around the river Weser this time.

Can you see the towers of the power station?



Last time we went around from this side and saw it up close.

This time we could see the gravel pit in Landesbergen.





In this region there are many places where gravel is produced and many small lakes resulted from this around here.

We also crossed the river Weser:



Our destination was the hospital in Nienburg. Mummy had to talk to the doctors because she has been sick since October last year. I stayed in the car to stay safely out of everything.

It's a really big building complex. Mummy said it's a little like a labyrinth inside, but she also said she knows her way around by now.

Today we used the fact that all of us are at home at the moment and took a group picture of Henri, *-Cookie-*2 and myself.



Aren't we all looking good? 

Today I went on another adventure by train. 

Here we have just left the station in Minden.





I'm excited to see where mummy will take me this time. 

We went to Hildesheim again. Mummy had an appointment there. Unfortunately it was way too hot to walk a lot. So we settled for only going to the appointment, then shopping some postcards and going home again.

We saw lots of fields and small hills.



I also was responsible for showing Henri around. It was his first big trip and I told him all the important stuff.



The first train was a really old one - but very cozy.

We passed the big sugar factory in Nordstemmen:





We also went by some wonderful blue lakes.



We really wanted to jump off the train and go swimming, but Mummy's grip was too strong...

Another train went past. This time it was a metronom.



Such lovely yellow fields. We also saw some colza which was a little unusual because the colza everywhere else had been harvested around May/June.



We also saw a typical crossing:



And then it was soon time to get off our cozy train and get on another one which would take us home.
