Travelog for: Rico

Today I go to the small cinema with Nya-oh and on our way we made a walk across the "Dom" it's the fun fair in Hamburg. And of course I've seen the very well known policestation called "Davidwache"

Today I started helping with the post and after that I take a sleep with my friend Apache (a labrador retriever), because I was very tired of all the letters we have send.

Today I visited a friend in the leather manufactury - because she promised to make a small colar for my ID card.
I saw lot of cars on my way and finally I got the possibility to have a look in the manufactury.

Now I'm ready for my first journey -  I'll visit Barcelona on easter!

At Easter I was very happy to visit Barcelona during the semana santa. Everybody told me, that the city is beautiful at easter - because there are not so many tourists.

But before we arrived I've seen the airport of Hamburg and of Frankfurt. In Frankfurt was a very strange guy who tried to kidnap me but I escaped and after that I need a coffee :-)

After arriving at our place I've seen our fantastic balcony and sit outside just for enjoying the sun.

We stay close to the Liceu - that's a grand theatre - and only 2 minutes away from the Ramblas - a big street, very popular for tourists. Of course I also see lots of buildings from Gaudi.

Oh I'm quite nervous - I'll start my journey around the world today!!!!
My first stop will be Kelowna British Columbia !
I enjoyed my last hours in Hamburg in the yard and think about my journey. Whodalalee I'm coming :-)

Oh mommy!  I have finally arrive in Canada....the ride wasn't as smooth as my flight to Barcelona but I arrived safely...I had many many new friends when I arrived. I was still in the mailbox when I first heard my friends....then they helped me out of my suitcase and I was finally able to meet them.  There is Princess the pink poodle, Betzi also from Germany, Molito the lamb and Prickles the Canadian Hedge Hog... They were so kind to me mommy! My host Arlene, says to tell you thank you for the wonderful card and magnet....she told me that I will have lots of fun here in Canada.
I was chatting with my new friends when Keiko and Charlee the dogs decided they wanted to meet me! I was a little afraid of Keiko, she is very big but Charlee (the border collie) was very pleasant....I then met who I think will be my best friend...one of the three cats.  His name is Gibbs and he really was very affectionate with me.... he sniffed me and butted his head with mine...but in the end, I decided I was okay with that, because everyone needs lots of love!  I am going to have a little sleep and then see what kinds of adventures I will have! Bye Mommy!

Here is my place for a nap....Gibbs is so happy to have me sleep in his perch!  I believe I will feel very rested when I wake up!

Mommy! I have had a wonderful adventure today! The sun was shining, so my host said it would be a good day to go to the beach. I was so excited...We started by just taking in the view of Lake Okanagan while we sat on the picnic table...Then we all went to the apple shaped snack bar for a slushie! Then we were off to the slide...it was a bit steep, but I was last to go down! We also went up the climbing wall.... The sun was so warm, so we decided to just soak it in as we sat on the beach...Then we met a wonderful little boy who let me pull Betzi, Princess, Molito and Prickles in his wagon...and he let us play with the sand toys. We all were happy to have spent this time on the beach but it was time to go home...the last picture is of all of us in my hosts car looking out and waving goodbye to the beach..

I am sooo excited mommy! Today Prickles dad let me ride his motorcycle! I have fulfilled my first Life Missions!

When I got back my host showed us all the things she received in the mail today...so many postcards from all over the world! She says it's another hobby she has called POSTCROSSING where she sends and receives postcards from all over the world....I love all the pretty pictures and stamps!

I am so much better now that I have had the time to rest... Tonight all of us went to watch my host's play softball! It was such a pretty night and so much fun! We all got into the action way up close to the fence! It was me, Princess, Betzi, Molito and Prickles all hanging out together..

Now I know what it feels like to welcome a new member to our tribe of TV's!  Today Emil arrived with his suitcase. I was so happy to greet him...even my new friend "Gibbs" the cat was happy to greet him!

Mommy, I had a wonderful day today. Prickles and Betzi have their now hosts now, so they were very surprised when we had a party for them! They both squealed like little girls when we threw garlands at them and put big party hats on them! We played hide and seek as well as danced...but before I knew it, it was time for them both to pack up their suitcase and be on their way. Molito, Princess, Emil and I gave them both hugs before the packed into their suitcases....Prickles is on her first adventure, to Germany! And Betzi is continuing his adventure in Oakland California USA! Prickles was very nervous but I told her "if I can do it, so can you!"...I think that made her feel better....It was a great day!!!

We are preparing for our adventure tomorrow....I am going to go fishing with my host Arlene and her husband Rick, Princess, Molito and Emil. Arlene made us some pretty cool life jackets and fishing rods...we practiced putting the line in. It was very fun! I am extremely excited and I don't even know what will happen yet! I will put some pictures online when we get back from our adventure tomorrow!

Wow! Mommy, I can not tell you how much fun I had today! We went fishing!  I was IN A BOAT!  soooo much fun! We had to wear our life jackets, but even with them on, I was a little nervous about being on the water in a little boat...but soon I relaxed with my friends, Sammie, Molito, Rico, Princess and Emil... we watched as my hosts caught 5 rainbow trout in 4 hours...we enjoyed the beautiful lake and saw many animals...I saw a loon, frogs, a blue heron, some bunnies and a huge hawk... Emil did not like the hawk...it scared him. I was up close when the fish were being pulled in the fishing net...so exciting! I held a fishing rod and bathed in the sunshine.
