Today was a special day mommy....it was time for both Prickles and Betzi to leave our home....Prickles was very nervous, because she only knows Kelowna and has never been anywhere else...she is going to Germany...and Betzi is off to Oakland California...I will be missing them both...Betzi is very fun and tickles everyone every night before we go to sleep, so I will miss the laughing...and Prickles sang every night, so it might be a bit hard to fall asleep tonight...we had a surprise party for them...they both were over joyed...I had fun playing hide and seek in my big party hat...soon though, it was time for them both to pack their suitcase and we all hugged. Rico, Emil, Molito and I said our goodbyes and Prickles and Betzi are on their new adventures!

We spent the day talking about what we are doing tomorrow...you will never guess...we are going fishing in the mountains! I have never fished, so I don't know what will happen, but Arlene my host, said it will be fun....I hope it doesn't rain like it did today though...Arlene made us all life jackets and fishing poles... She made our jackets out of bubble wrap, so if we happen to jump in the water, we will not sink, we will float! I was a little nervous about the boat until, she told me about the life jacket! I promise to post some pictures of our adventure when we get home!

James Lake BC, Canada - 27th May 2014

We had such a fabulous day today fishing! I got a little too much sun and was very hot with my life jacket on, but it was overall the best day for me so far! I was able to hold a fishing pole, but my hosts are the ones who caught 5 rainbow trout...it was so exciting when the fish took a hold of the fishing line and then they had to wind it up so they could get the fish close enough to the boat to put it in the fishing net! Wow...we saw lots of wild animals, like a loon, a hawk, a blue heron, frogs and bunnies! I really enjoyed relaxing and time with my friends, Molito, Rico, Emil, and my new friend Sammie.

James Lake BC, Canada - 27th May 2014

After 4 hours on the boat, we got hungry and came into shore. I really liked the boat, but there was so much to see on shore...while the fire was built, we went exploring. First we sat on the table and got a view of where we had just been out on the lake, then we went closer to the lake and found a chair made out of an old tree stump...we came back to the table and watched as my host prepared the fish for cooking...we sat by the fire...loved that! And we watched the fish cook on the fire... then it was ready to eat! Yummy yummy! When we were full we went climbing rocks and trees...and the best part is that I had a chipmunk take a peanut off my head! We went for a hike and found a pond where I am told moose live...didn't see one though, but it was pretty...and on our way home we stopped and helped our host find a hiding spot for their GEOCACHE (which is another one of their hobbies)...it is now nicely hidden under a tall tall tree...the last thing we did before the 1 hour drive home, was run across a field full of blooming wild strawberries and raspberries! What a mighty good day!
