Hi there!

Today I arrived at sannah's place in SE Minnesota! That was a short travel.

Anna and Dille gave me a warm welcome. I cannot wait to discover new places! The first glimpse looked good so far ...

All the best,
Student Mouse

sannah's workplace, Rochester, MN, USA - 21st May 2014

By: sannah

Hi Mom!

In order to help me out with one of my life missions, sannah took me to work with her! Did you know that she was a teacher? Well, now you do! She teaches middle school math in seventh and eighth grade.

Her workplace is one of the catholic schools in town, therefore there is a (tall) church next to the (flat) school building.

Above me (I am on top of the world!) you can see the results of the latest chapter project. sannah's students had to use their knowledge of space figures to design their own 1/2 gal milk container!

sannah taught me some algebra. I know how to FOIL know and even helped her prepare the answer key!

sannah shares her room with the Spanish teacher - Algebra before, Spanish after lunch. This little guy obviously needs a nap before class!

Estudio español. Entienes?

Since sannah's room is in the basement, it can be a little scary down here when everybody else went for lunch. But the walls are really colorful!

I enjoyed this first part of one of my life missions! It was interesting to see school elsewhere! :)

Greetings to you, Mom!
Yours, Student Mouse

Rochester, MN, USA - 22nd May 2014

By: sannah

Hi there!

sannah has taken me to her work place already, but I also want to see where I am currently staying.

And what better way to do so and say hello to Rochester than with a bike ride? A bike ride? That is another of my life missions! Yay!

I sat down on sannah’s bike …

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-GrhpoWGc-5I/U4Ug8PYH_VI/AAAAAAAADRw/k1KWnQlvP7A/s640/smIMG_5002.JPG

… but obviously, I am way too short to reach both the pedals and the handlebars of her bike! So we agreed on my spot being on the handlebars …

And off we went!

The grass is almost supernaturally green along Bear Creek.

We got a glimpse over Downtown Rochester in the distance.

Our bike ride brought us to Quarry Hill Park.

Then we passed this nice little pond close to the University Center at the east side of town –

The buildings in the background actually are the campus of Rochester, home of RCTC (Rochester Community and Technical College) and branches of other colleges, like SMU (St Mary’s University – from Winona).

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-D0kLG1IRUUg/U4Ug9U_cCYI/AAAAAAAADSE/eTfw8NLiTFQ/s640/smIMG_5013.JPG

We completed the circle in Slatterly Park. The trees are still blossoming a bit.

Whooow, riding a bike is really exhausting - and I didn't even have to pedal!

Greetings from almost summerly Minnesota!
Student Mouse
