I'm here at my new home. My host remembered that I am shy, well, less shy than I used to be after all my travel, so only three residents greeted me. Doggy Boy cut the tape, Fluffy opened the lid, and Fluffy Hump introduced everyone.

3tmom and her family were leaving for the church carnival when I arrived. She helped me to quickly change into shorts and we were off.
Tee helped me on the obstacle course, giant slide, and bouncy castle.

Next, Tee and I played games, got our faces painted, and picked out a balloon. I was tired but happy when we drove home.

As soon as we got home, Tee took me outside to introduce me to his neighbors. I drove a neighbor's beautiful pink and purple jeep (my favorite colors!) on the driveway. Tee took me out on the street and showed me how to do donuts with the jeep. I don't think I'm ready to drive like he does.

I'm exhausted from travelling cross country and playing. Twisty opened my bedroom and now I'm going to bed. Night-night.

I slept in this morning. After I got up, I played dressup with the children. They are so gentle with me. I was a bride, a damsel in distress, and clumped around in wooden shoes. They made a wonderful noise.

I slept in again this morning. The time change makes me sleepy. After I woke up, I did Tee's favorite jobs since he was at school.

After the children came home from school, we played outside. I rode a pink bike all by myself.

Today is a solemn day or remembrance in America. The flags flew at half-mast as citizens remembered the events of 6 years ago and the present effort for safety and peace.
We stayed quietly busy so we wouldn't get too sad. I talked with a telemarketer and made a special dessert.

On the way to the bus stop, I admired the beautiful flowering trees. The flowers are huge pink, purple, or white masses. I am surrounded by my favorite colors.
I helped Tee order books from Scholastic; we agreed on a tea party book.

This morning we're going grocery shopping which is very different in America than in Europe. First we look for coupons to lower the amount we pay for the groceries. I like this coupon best.

We drove to the grocery store and I got a shopping cart to hold all the food, cleaning supplies, and paper products.
We meandered through the produce section first. The huge 1-1 1/2 inch muscadine grapes caught my attention. They grow in the American Southeast where it's warm and humid. The dark grapes are called scuppernongs and are a type of muscadine. We'll peel the thick skin off before eating them.
After we were done filling the cart, we put everything on a conveyor belt, the cashier 'rang up' each item and a bagger put everything in bags. We had a choice of paper or plastic bags. The bagger pushed our purchases to the car and loaded everything into the car.

I went to Tee's school today! His school has Kindergarten (5 y.o.) through 5th grade, over 600 students.
After I checked in as a Helping Hands volunteer, I helped prepare handouts and activities for the teachers and staff. I stapled, cut, drew, and picked up the paper scraps.

Since the Helping Hands work in the cafeteria, after we finished helping, we had lunch with Tee's class. I bought a lunch with milk and used Tee's lunch account to pay. Tee also shared his packed lunch with me. A classmate let me taste her watermelon yogurt because I'd never seen this flavor before.

After lunch, we strolled down the halls towards Tee's classroom. I saw an aquarium with inquisitive fish and beautiful flowers.
