I made brownies today. The kids ate them before I could get one <sigh>.

Brian and I went to a costume shop this afternoon. The owner makes dance, theater, halloween, and formal outfits. This is a behind-the-scenes look at musical shows.
We met many interesting characters who showed us around the shop while Kat tried on her dress. I told them that I was a ToyVoyager and a few seemed eager to leave the shop and venture into the big world.
The owner let me sew a costume!

My host and I have been looking for Warwick but we haven't found it. We asked local residents where it is and they keep telling us where Warwick Blvd is. Maybe we'll just take a picture of the street sign. But we're not giving up yet. Oh, Spanks, there isn't a photo of us looking because my host was driving and I was looking. A photographer did not accompany us.
We lazed around with Buster the cat while off duty.

Brian and I helped our host fertilize and seed the yard. Phew, it was hard work! We weren't allowed near the fertilizer but I helped spread the seed. It's called broadcasting but I didn't see a television or radio.

I played outside all day today! It was a beautiful day because the humidity level went down. I rode a train and a scooter. The train went in circles, the scooter mostly fell over.

We went to a fantastic museum, the Virginia Living Museum! We saw very little of the museum during the time we were there because it is huge!
First, Brian and I went through the Survivor: Jamestown Maze. We each took on the role of a real person from Jamestown, 1607 AD. I chose a gentleman and Brian chose a laborer. All the people were men because Jamestown was a business venture, not a colony. Watch how I fared.

As we went through the maze, we had to make decisions. Brian and I didn't always agree on these so sometimes we went my way and sometimes Brian's way. We had to choose Jamestown's site. Even though we chose differest sites, we each gained and lost a life point.

We also had to chose where to get our drinking water, learn the local fauna and flora, and cross a waterfall! I stayed healthier than Brian but I still almost died!

The maze also had an element of chance: Wheel of Misfortune! I spun the wheel as hard as a could, crossed my fingers, and hoped for a fortunate event. It was wonderful, especially since I was a gentleman and prized wealth.

Brian and I had to make more decisions and spin the Wheel of Misfortune several times. Unfortunately, we both died; I died a wealthy but starved man.

Even though I was dead, I finished going through the maze. I enjoyed the photo op and dressup at the end of the maze.

After the maze, I raced through a few other sections of the museum. I learned that 70% of Virginia is forested, they have a lot of swamps, and a lot of water. I chatted with an otter who said he would like to leave his stuffy existence and travel. A hermit crab said he changes houses often enough without travelling around the world. A beautiful frog jumped with glee at the thought of seeing new places. Any hosts willing to take them?

I helped do the laundry. I sorted, packed the clothes down so more would fit, washed, dried, and folded. I think the towels incubated and multiplied in the dryer.

Newport News, VA: Warwick!, USA - 10th October 2007
By: 3tmom
We found Warwick!! It is actually Newport News! The two cities became one city in 1958 and chose Newport News as their name because it was better known than Warwick. So sad.
Newport News lies to the west of York County(orange-brown area), where 3tmom lives.
Warwick is a one syllable name here in Virginia: War'ck.
