I was a Helping Hand at Tee's school this morning. Helping Hands prepare projects for the teachers. Brian and I sorted and cut. We also celebrated the cooler weather by playing in the leaves. Brian went a little crazy.

We ate lunch in the school cafeteria with Tee! I opened my milk carton all by myself.

Brian and I were sleuths at school. This is what happened:
Last week Tee brought his school pictures proofs home, but not Ballet Cindy's and Mara-Joy's pictures. Tee's teacher didn't know what happened to the pictures.
So, Brian and I looked in the school office for BC and MJ's proofs. We found them!
Now we need to decide which picture to order. As usual, I like one picture and Brian likes another. Will you help us by voting for the traditional color, black and white, or sepia photo in the ToyVoyager Cafe forum under the topic "School Picture"? We need to order on October 18.

I'm sooo excited! Brian took me to the Homecoming Dance!!!
It is a traditional high school dress-up dance. There's a big pep rally and football game, fun costume days at school, and a fabulous dance at school.
The kids usually go to a fancy restaurant before the dance. Nellie wanted a memorable night so we went to McDonald's instead.
No photos of the dance but the dancing was divine. Brian was a great dancer and partner.
We left the dance early and went cosmic bowling. The alley was dark with neat lights and music. Nellie said she'll always remember this Homecoming and so will I. <sigh>

Mum is ill. I let Goofball choose a Get Well card for her, never again.
Get well soon, Mum.
We also mailed Mara-Joy's card to Rangler.

Midnight.
It was Girls Night Out!!! We went to the 2007 Tour of So You Think You Can Dance. Wow, Neil's gymnastics, the abs, Danny's spins, the chests, Pasha's cape twirling, the muscles. The show was fantastic! Sabra was magnificent!
This is the T-shirt I got. No show photos because of photographer error. She's rather upset.

Today is the Yorktown Day Celebration. The Americans are commemorating the 226th anniversary of the victory at Yorktown. Brian is depressed. There's a parade, memorial wreath laying ceremony, and other memorial ceremonies.
It's raining as we drive to historical Yorktown.
My job is to hold Brian's hand so he doesn't cause mischief. Today is a solemn commemoration.

The road to the old town was lined with American flags, There's something wrong with them: they don't have 50 stars, one for each state.

The parade has group after group of military units. This area has Navy, Army, Marine, Coast Guard, and Air Force installations.
The Germans and French helped the Americans in the war so they were present also.
The local high school bands marched; we saw Nellie!
That man is having a bad hair day!

The town crier directed us toward the wreath laying ceremony.
John Rollison, the 13th wealthiest man in the colonies, has an imposing presence.

There are a lot of flags at this ceremony. Flag after flag after flag after flag, like watching a tennis match.
The monument is tall. Simple. Clean lines.
The ceremony is loooong. I'm losing my grip on Brian.
We're leaving before Brian embarrasses us.

We're walking to the beach! 3tmom thinks the water is probably cold even though the air is hot and humid. Those guys look cold.

Mum, you don't want these under your eyes.
They're baggy wrinkles.
