Kristl and many of her friends did a nice thing today - they made curd dumplings themselves!!!
Have you ever eaten curd dumplings? Taste them, it's yummy!!
It took much time! We wanted to help them, but Kristl advised us not to come too close cause flour was everywhere in the kitchen and we could make us dirty.
But when everything was ready we came to watch it -- of course!

Honiton, Devon, UK - 24th January 2008
By: drakie
Well I have arrived, didnt take too long at all. Well its raining and cold here, might need to find a scarf to keep warm. My host says its always cold in England even in summer. But I am happy to be here.
My host is going away with a friend who won a very posh hotel break in a competition and they go tomorrow just for the weekend so i timed it just right. It is on the North Coast that they are going so I can look forward to a nice relaxing break. It overlooks the sea she tells me ...
Then in two weeks my host is going to Cornwall, cannot wait for that too.l
Pictures to follow after the weekend.

Honiton, UK - 27th January 2008
By: drakie
Well here I am I have arrived in Honiton. I met one of my hosts toys, he does not travel, his name is Tommy, you can put your hand up his back and my host makes him talk, he has very bright red hair.
Then we met Snowy (a real life animal) a bunny. My host says she is a bunny with attitude, she wasnt too friendly as she kept wanting to run off. After several photographs my host managed to get one with the bunny in..... tomorrow my host is going away with a friend (my hosts friend won a weekend break in a raffle prize).

Saunton Sands, uk - 27th January 2008
By: drakie
Well we arrived at Saunton Sands Hotel, North Devon. A very posh and nice hotel with bed, breakfast and evening meal. It had a swimming pool, sauna and sea views from the room. It was lovely. Great views from the windows.
We settled in the room, as we arrived late afternoon, my host had to leave her poor husband all alone at home, but she did ring him several times.
Well we took a look at the bathroom, it was quite large, with two sinks, one for my host and one for her friend, I just had to investigate, I then took a look from the balcony to check it out. My host went for a meal and when she came back there was a beautiful sunset. Lovely, I sat and relaxed on one of the chairs.
Very posh indeed...
Love bumba

Barnstaple, uk - 29th January 2008
By: drakie
We went shopping today after a great breakfast, it was very delicious, bacon, tomatoe, mushrooms, sausages, fried egg and toast and lots of tea, my host loves her cuppa.
We then went to Barnstaple, you can see me in a place called Butchers Row, it used to be just Butchers all the little units now sell different things, I think it is very cute and then we looked around the market ... and stopped for more tea.....
The next day we headed home, we found some beautiful scenery, so near to the sea. My host loves the sea because most of her life until 10 years ago she lived In Nottingham and this was so far away from the sea. It was quite warm, I know Cute Knut was here before me and my host says it rained everyday, but it hasnt yet... On the way back home the roads got smaller and smaller and very deep drops at the side, my host nearly got out of her friends car (who was laughing at her at the time) because she is petrified of heights.
Next weekend we are going away to Cornwall, as my host has a Welfare Break holiday as she has had an operation and a new knee as she fell off her shoe.... ooopppsss...
We will go fishing, metal detecting and see pixies along the way.... maybe we might see fairies, my hosts husband tells her she is "away with the fairies most of the time".... thats good isnt it?????

Carbis Bay, Cornwall - 9th February 2008
By: drakie
Well here we are safely arrived in Cornwall, It was an upsdie down house, well I thought it was. The bedrooms all downstairs in the dark, with a lovely spa bath but my host wouldnt let me get in it, I did try. The upstairs was looking over the sea. As soon as I got there I thought I would investigate so I did, I looked outside and spied the sea, I climbed a palm tree, but you can only just see me and I coulnt actually see anything from that as the house was in the way. What a silly Bumba...

Lands End Cornwall, UK - 10th February 2008
By: drakie
Today we got up and it was a lovely sunny day, In February!!! now February is and should be cold, frosty and freezing but today it was not.;
Lands end is basically the end of england, where you can see the Longships lighthouse, the sea batters the rocks at the bottom but it is beautiful with strong seas. There is a complex here. So we took a good look round.
I sat in front of the Lands End lighthouse.
We sat and had a lovely cup of tea, in the sun in February, most refreshing.... then I had a good look round, found a phonebox, tried to ring home to see if my mummy was ok, but I had no pocket for any change.... so I couldnt... then I thought, aahh must be other Toyvoyagers here, and I searched and I searched in another phone box, couldnt find any.... then I saw a bright red postbox and climbed up all on my own... now wasnt I clever, I looked in and I was so sure I would find other little T.V`s to play with but No.... not nothing, not anyone, I was only just hanging out when my host came and saved me from falling in..

Newquay, UK - 12th February 2008
By: drakie
Well what great weather in February another lovely day.
We did lots today,
We went to the aquarium and I saw some sharks, a bit too close for comfort but my host told me it was very thick glass, but still a bit too close, I could have been fish supper!!!
You will see a picture which is very blue with little white things, they are baby jelly fish, very strange but very pretty.
We then went to Newquay Pearl attraction, I met Elvis, and CP30 and Batman, I have marked as meeting a tv character, dont know if this counts as he wasnt real. AND, AND i sat in the de laureun car, used for Back to the Future, its a bit dark but you can just see me at the bottom. I then went for a ride on a carousel and to top it off I had a nice cup of tea, such an english thing to do.
We then went to the Eden Project, you can see them in the background, like big ballons, well sort of.

Gittisham, UK - 25th February 2008
By: drakie
Well we arrived home and on the way back it was a bit busy on the road, I decided I would just sit and relax on the dashb oard and take in all the views.
We then stopped at Gittisham not far from Honiton, thatched cottages, very pretty.
Its so sad as next week I go on my travels again... still in the Uk to visit Neil and Isobel.... more travels so i guess I should be excited.

Just to say I have been posted to Isobel and Neil. My host still has several pictures to download, but people who know her know she can type very very fast, but she is technically challenged when it comes to technical things!!! like resizing... but she promises she will update soon as she has quite a few to download.
Anyway I left yesterday, but guess who arrived... Dirkie... he was a very little man..... so cute, we had a big group hug and spent all night talking, good job the bedrooms are all upstairs..... and then I can sleep all the way to Isobels and neils.... xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
