Travelog for: Bumba

Dear Sem,

I'm thinking I should start a ToyVoyagers Union against the exploitation of defenceless TVs. 

I've had one day to rest after my travels, and then I've been set to work!

Actually I quite enjoyed working here.  And you'd be very pleased with me - I made a dog!  (Well, almost, he's not quite finished .. but by tomorrow he will be!)

So here you can see my little tailoring business setting up ...

And here I am pinning, tacking and snipping ...

And, a little bit of stitching and stuffing later, I'm performing a delicate stomach operation on my flowery friend ...

And here he is so far ... he has no eyes and no tongue yet .. but tomorrow, Sem, you will see my toymaking skills in all their glory!

I got to work again with my scissors and needle and thread, and ....

.... here's my doggie friend, all finished and ready to be sent off to his new owner, April.

Dear Sem,

It's Easter Saturday, and very very cold!  Every so often, when I look out of the windows here at ToyVoyagersCentral, I see flurries of snowflakes swirling outside. 

So ... we are staying in this morning and preparing Easter food and treats!

Here I am ready with my chocolate eggs ... do you think they will notice if I sneak a few??!

And then I melted the chocolate and added rice cereal pops ... 

The eggs I showed you earlier are for the tops of the chocolate nests. 

And here's some of the finished product!  (We made lots and lots - well, it is Easter after all!)

And my last Easter job was to fill these plastic eggs with yummy chocolate ones.

(There's a bit of a theme here...)

These are for an Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow!  I'm so excited!

Hello Sem,

Well, the Easter weekend was a little odd.  We had lots of plans to get out and about, but my hosts' little son was very ill.  So, instead of going out sightseeing, we did a lot of lying down, and snuggling up under Thomas the Tank Engine covers ...

... we also watched 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', which is an old movie about a flying car!

We all liked the flying car bit, but it was a LONG LONG film.  My little host fell asleep, so the big hosts turned the TV off 'for some peace and quiet' - but they couldn't stop singing the catchy film tunes! 

Very amusing!

Dear Sem,

You won't believe this, but it's the first weekend in April (sounds like Spring, huh?), and suddenly it's winter again!

I was so shocked when I looked out of the window, and saw six inches of snow covering everything!  Wheeee!!!

I quickly woke everyone else up!  I wanted to be out in the snow!

OK, let me show you what I mean about the Winter/Spring mix-up.

Here's the Camellia tree.  In blossom.  That means Spring.

But Look!  It's bowed down under the snow.  Winter.

No wonder I'm a bit confused.

Anyway, it doesn't matter that if it's Spring or Winter, or Summer, or Autumn, or all of them mixed up together!

Hi Sem,

We have arrived at St. Ives, which is a seaside town, harbour, and resort on the North_West coast of Cornwall, right at the bottom of England, and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

The picture where I am standing in the shade, with a wall behind me, is the view we have from our Holiday accommodation!  WE can sit all day and watch the sea if we want to - and previous visitors have seen seals and dolphins, all from inside this room! 

I will keep my eyes open!
