Travelog for: Dijon

'Woof'. I'm Dijon, a sausage dog.

I was found by Helly on her desk at work, wrapped up as a birthday present, with a message which said:

'Please send me on a voyage'.

I might be a bit long to send through the post so I intend to travel by car and boat and train. Although, if you are planning a long sea journey I'd love to join you.

I want to have lots of fun and adventures. I was abandoned at a charity shop and rescued by Hilary. I am looking forward to my new home. I shall live in Helly's car, Helga The Honda.

"Woof, I'm about to start my adventure. It's a bit different from Helly's car, will it go?"

"Of course it will!"

"Then France here I come!"

Cool! I'm on the national 2CV-Meeting in Dunkerque, France.

I was found the last evening of the happening in the tent from the germans Nico and Siggi! They are very happy, because they like Dogs very much!

Nico und Siggi finden mich am letzten Abend dieser Veranstaltung in ihrem Faltcaravan - sie freuen sich sehr, weil sie Hunde sehr gern haben.

I can go to the market for the 2CV-Pieces... there are nothing intressant for dogs. Aaah... here are other dogs. Shes not a saussage dog, but she smells good...

Je peut aller sur la bourse d'echange... il n'y a pas grand chose pour les chiens. Aaaah... ici, il y a des autres chiennes. Ce n'est pas un saucisson en pate, mais elle sents tres gentil...

Ich darf sogar mit auf den Teilemarkt.. auch wenn es hier für Hunde nicht viel zu entdecken gibt. Aaah... hier laufen auch andere Hunde rum. Nun ja, es ist zwar kein Dackel, aber sie scheint ganz nett zu sein...

Zum Abschluß besuchen wir noch Dany und Roselyne an ihrem Infostand der Vereinigung aller 2CV-Clubs von Frankreich.

Ans more passings but the hope to meet again (perhaps a Rochefort/B in august?): the belgian 2CV-Friends before they return to belgium. I can to huddle against Luce - shes very endearing.

Wieder eine Verabschiedung und das Hoffen auf ein Wiedersehen (in Rochefort/B im August?): die belgischen Freunde kurz vor ihrer Heimfahrt. Luce hat mich auch nochmal ganz lieb zum Abschied geknuddelt...

Good, it's not a camper van, but also good for making holidays. The meeting is over, we will go to a camping ground near the beach of the English Channel.

Bon, C'est ne pas un camping car, mais pas mal pour faire des vacances. La concentration est terminee, nous allons sur un terrain de camping pres de la plage de la Manche.

Nun gut, es ist kein Wohnmobil, aber auch nicht schlecht, um seine Ferien darin zu verbringen. Das 2CV-Treffen ist nun vorüber, wir gehen auf einen Campingplatz nahe des Strandes am Ärmelkanal.

Miam, directly after building the tent, we have some pear-cake. After this we go directely to the beach. Here we look at the "Cap Blanc-Nez"

Miam, tout de suite d'installer sur le terrain de Camping, on mange tarte de poire. Apres on va directement a la plage, regarding the "Cap Blanc-Nez".

Miam, gleich nach dem Installieren am Campingplatz gibt es leckeren französischen Birnenkuchen. Danach gehts gleich an den Strand, und schauen von Weitem auf die "Cap Blanc-Nez".

Here I am with Ives Malfoy, the head of the campingground „La Source“ in Wissant. He is a tremendous person and known all over the place. He explain me, that the german “colored dog” is in french the “white wolf”, it means in the english language, that he’s known all over the place. In 2007 he represented his region tourist-exposition in Köln. He has his campingground under control – perhaps I can meet him again, when he’s on holidays in the valley of Mosel in Germany.

Voila, Ives Malfoy et moi! Il est regisseur du camping municipal “La Source” a Wissant.Il est un drille et connu comme le loup blanc. Il m’a explique, que les francais ne disent pas  « Chien coloré » comme les allemands, ils parlent d’un Loup Blanc. En 2007, Il as representé sa region avec le Comité Régional de Tourisme a Cologne. Il as bien la contrôle sur son Terrain de Camping. Peut-etre, je vais le revoir au bord de la Moselle en Allemagne. Quelquefois on peut le trouver en vacances la-bas.

Hier seht Ihr mich mit Ives Malfoy, Leiter des hiesigen Campingplatzes in Wissant. Ein witziger Kerl und bekannt wie ein bunter Hund.. *räusper* Er hat mir aber verraten,
dass man in Frankreich dazu „Loup Blanc (=weißer Wolf) sagen würde. Er hat 2007 seine Region auf der Touristikmesse in Kölle vertreten. Den Campingplatz hat er aber auch im Griff – vielleicht treffe ich ihn ja mal wieder an der Mosel. Da fährt er nämlich auch schon mal hin in Urlaub.
