Tainan, Taiwan - 9th March 2008

After dinner, we took a walk in the street and found more activities near the shrine.
This is a small Taiwanese opera. Though I don't understand what those people said and sang,
I can see that it must be very interesting because a lot of people laughing loudly!
Another show is the Glove puppetry. Those puppets are really interesting!
They did move by themselves! Okay....to be honest, there are people hiding behind the setting.
My host also told me that actually these shows are played for Tu Di Gong to thank him guarding this land. However, there are also a lot of people come to see the show, so this became kind of a tradition for people to join the god's birthday party.

This morning we went out eating the breakfast again. This time it is soysause-marinated ground pork over rice!
I don't like its smell at the very firt time. (Recently I ate many foods other than grass... :P)
However, I turn to fall in love with this very soon!
My host told me, many Taiwanese who live abroad miss this flavor very much.
Before lunch, we played Chinese chess (simple version).
I got confused with what those words mean and which rank higher or lower...but fun!

After two days rest, my host took me to the primary school she used to go to.
Here is the classroom. My host told me that everything is quite similar with it was 15 years ago.
Wow...what a lovely work! I love this picture very much!
Kids are always the most creative organism in the universe!
On the swing.... it's quite scary...

Today I saw some Golden Trumpet Tree .
I have to say they have the most beautiful yellow color in the world. Just stay gold!
This one also shows the cotton trees!
What a great match with these two kinds of color! I think spring is finally here...
This one shows me on the motorcycle with my host's mother!
Airing like this makes me feel comfortable under such a big tropic sun ~
Do you see me in the side mirror? XD

Today my host had a hair cut. This photo was took when we were waiting. I also want to have my hair cut because it's so hot here, but my host told me they don't know how to do with a sheep. I think I should go to a farm. Maybe they know how to design a more comfortable hair style for a sheep traveling in tropic area...

Today we went to buy some Baozi. My host told me that this maker is one of the famous makers in Tainan.
On the way home, we met OPEN chan in front of the 7-11. My host told me that he is kind of the mascot of 7-ELEVEn in Taiwan. She said that it was designed by the Japanese advertising agency Dentsu, and soon become very popular in Taiwan in a very short time. OPEN chan even has his own website, and his own blog. I guess that's why I always see him in every corner of every 7-11.
When we got home, I can't wait to taste a Baozi! It's super delicious!!! What a nice day!
In the meantime, I'm still wondering what kind of the animal that OPEN chan is...He said he is a dog... Queer...

Today is the 2008 presidential election day in Taiwan.
My host took me with her, but I can only stay outside.
It's a pity that I can only take photo in a long distance because it is illegal to take photos around,
but it's still fun to see an activity like this!

Today I read the National Geographic magazine with my host and found something interesting!
The cover story of this Chinese version issue is LHC (Large Hadron Collider) - a device for researching elementary particles. It will soon work later this year! My host told me it is the biggest accelerator in the world now. It is located accross Switzerland and France and just beside Geneva Airport--quite near my hometown!
The next one is more interesting!!! It is an article talking about animal minds! Finally people learn to know how animal think in a scientific way. See! Edward is a sheep from West Virginia, and he can recognize different faces (about 50 different sheeps and 10 different people!) I knew that myself, but my host seems to be quite surprised with this! I'd told her earlier if I knew she didn't know. And...I think I can do even better than Edward! XD That means I'll remember all of nice TV friends, hosts, people, and other animals on my way of trip!
By the way, if you also want to read these two articles, here are the links : Animal Minds ; The God Particle
I recommend you to read them!

Today is a good day! Everywhere is full of flowers!
I was always wondering why flowers have so many colors...
We sheep don't have that many. I saw yellow flowers in Tainan, and now I see pink and red.
I love white flowers so much because they have the same color as me.
Can you find where I am ? XD
Because I love the second photo so much so I made this photo into a desktop wallpaper!
Though it is not perfect, hope you'll like it!
Want to see me whenever you use computers? Download Now! XD
(I feel a little conscious to promote my wallpaper like this! :P)
