Wellington, New Zealand - 31st July 2008
By: Melancholy Pie
Hi Everyone
AliG arrived safely in Wellington a few weeks ago. The weather here has been absolutely terrible with floods around the country and I've been sick in bed so we haven't had much chance to get out and see the city.
We have watched alot of TV though! :] We have watched a season each of Dexter, Gilmore Girls and Battlestar Galactica.
Here is a photo of AliG snuggled on the bed ready for the final of Dexter. Sorry the quality is poor it's a camera phone.
Hopefully we'll have some better updates shortly.
xxoo Kim & AliG

Honiton, Devon, U.k. - 27th September 2008
By: drakie
Well here i am in Honiton, Devon, and I have arrived after a long journey and I have arrived to the sun.... yeah man... apparantly I have been told I am a very lucky person as England has had no sun all year only last week and this. WOW
Anyway... hope you like my photo mum, with Gina Giraffe, mind you how I am supposed to keep cool next to a yellow spotted thing and sitting on its knee I do not know, will have to change that and tell them who is boss around here, and the giraffe loses ... hands down...
We could be going sunbathing tomorrow, depends on the weather, so could be good, as long as the yellow spotted thing stays at home... if you know what I mean...
Then I am going to spain, got my bag packed already, well actually I never unpacked so I am as you say READY....

Weston Super Mare, Somerset, UK - 28th September 2008
By: drakie
Well it was a lovely sunny day today, in England believe it or not, and we went out, without the yellow spotted creature, I tell you does she shut up, talk and talk and talk, I will have no ears left, Gina the Giraffe never stops, what can a boy do!!!
We went to Weston-Super-Mare, you will see the photos a large strange thing, apparantly we read it was a bus stop, very strange and it lights up at nights and goes way up into the sky...
We then went to have a coffee near the beach, I was taking in the sun it was lovely.... behind me you can see the pier, at the left side it looks black as there was a big fire only a few weeks ago so they are trying to raise funds to rebuild it.

We also went to a place called Aguilas, lovely place and very quiet we sat and had a meal..

We went to my hosts friends and played cards, a good evening, Gina the Giraffe had to come and eat all the food but never mine she is leaving tomorrow!!! We were shown how to play poker... my host thought I looked the type to run a gambling club....
Then two days later we went to another friends for Halloween, you should have seen the house, it was covered in cobwebs etc it will take hours to clean up.... See if you can recognise my host... ha ha ha...
Then I met a new friend, Alpina, now that is a lady.... and Ducky Duck which is my hosts duck, she was lost in the post for a whole 6 months, how lonely... mind you she might have had adventures we dont know about

Well today I went with Alpina to my hosts place of work, we had a good time, used the radio and the telephone and typed, well ran along the keyboard, but as my host was typing she wasnt too impressed, for some reason she told me I couldnt spell!! the cheek. We went for a walk at lunchtime, it was very cold but we found some beautiful leaves.
Anyway it is time for me to leave I am going to Marjolein in the Netherlands, but my host tells me she doesnt think it will be much warmer than here, it rains a lot in Devon and its getting very cold.
I said goodbye to my friends, Shakesbeare, Galaxy bear, ducky duck, Gina, and Alpina my new friends

Amsterdam, The Netherlands - 12th December 2008
By: Marjolein
Hello!
I went to Amsterdam today!
Marjolein wanted to visit the Rijksmuseum to see the skull made by Damien Hirst called For the love of God. We weren't allowed to make photo's inside the museum, but this is what it looks like on the outside.
This is the Dam, the centre of Amsterdam, you see the Palice on the Dam, the kings and queens of the Netherlands used to live here.
This is on the left The Bijenkorf, the most famous store of the country. On the right you see the memorial statue for the victims of WWII. Every year on the 4th of May the queen puts flowers at the statue for the victims.
